Jesse "Bud" Bynum was born Jan. 28, 1917, in Okolona, Ark. He retired in 1982.

Ruby Geneva Coffman
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Ruby Geneva Coffman, 94, a registered nurse, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Saint Stephen Presbyterian Church.

Ruby Coffman was born March 26, 1903, in Oakland City, Ind. She was a resident of Fort Worth and Fort Lauderdale, Fla. She was a member of the Fisher class at Saint Stephen Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by husband, Edgar S. Coffman.

FORT WORTH -- Maude Mae Darrow, 96, a homemaker, died Sunday, July 6, 1997, at a Fort Worth nursing home.
Graveside service: 2 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Memorial Park.
Maude Darrow was born Aug. 12, 1900, in Graham, Young County.
She married I.N. Darrow Aug. 31, 1925. He preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Darrow lived in Fort Worth for 47 years. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Fort Worth. She was loved by all who knew her.
Survivors: Son, Irving "Bud" Darrow and wife, Betty, of Fort Worth; daughter, Della Guastella and husband, Joe, of Santa Maria, Calif.; sisters, Cordelia White of Graham, Hazel Murphy of Graham and Lona Belle Barker of Midland; five grandchildren; nine great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Mildred Deam was born Oct. 25, 1922, in Corsicana, Texas. She was a graduate of Paschal High School in Fort Worth, attended Weatherford Junior College and was on the dean's list in 1989. She was married to Phillip Deam for 51 years, as of this August.
Mrs. Deam was a Life Master of American Contract Bridge League, Fort Western Bridge Club, Texas Rangers Women's Club, director for Sarah Coventry Jewelry for 15 years. She was a charter member of the Lakeshore Drive Baptist Church, Weatherford.
Mrs. Deam was a former resident of Fort Worth and has lived in Weatherford for the past 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Andrew Deam, on March 23, 1971.

Harold A. Dobson
FORT WORTH -- Harold A. Dobson, 83, a retired dairy pasteurizer, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, in Hurst.

Harold Dobson was born April 9, 1914, in Guthrie, Okla., and had resided in Fort Worth for 49 years. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran. He worked for Vandervoort's Dairy for 31 years until his retirement in 1979. He was a member of the Fort Worth Iris Society, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Diamond Hill United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Ruth Dobson.
Survivors: Daughter and son-in-law, Martha Ann and John Crawford of Fort Worth; granddaughter, Johnna Maree Crawford; sister-in-law, Laverne Dobson of Sapulpa, Okla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Opal Edwards was born Oct. 19, 1917, in Sidney, Texas. She was a resident of Fort Worth for 47 years. She was a longtime member of Magnolia Avenue Christian Church and was a member of University Christian Church. She enjoyed gardening and games.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Edwards, on Aug. 27, 1996.

Bill Engle
BEDFORD -- Bill Engle, 70, a retired coach and teacher, passed away Saturday, July 5, 1997, at his Bedford home.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Colleyville. The Rev. Paul Gomez will officiate. Burial: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
Bill Engle was born Oct. 11, 1926, in Greenville and had resided in Bedford since 1969.
Mr. Engle attended Greenville High School, where he lettered in basketball all four years. He was selected for the All-State Football Team in 1944, Texas High School All-Star Game in 1945 and Texas/Oklahoma All-Star Game in 1945. He was captain of the football team for two years and set a Greenville High School record in 1944 by scoring 121 points in the football season. He is in the Greenville High School Sports Hall of Fame.
After graduating in 1945, Mr. Engle served in the Merchant Marines. He then attended Texas A&M University where he lettered in football in 1946. Mr. Engle then served in the Army. After his tour in the Army, he attended East Texas State University, where he was an All- Conference player, captain of the football team and was named most valuable player in 1949. Mr. Engle was also a Little All-American player.
After graduating from East Texas State University in 1951, he served in the Air Force and started his coaching career at Sheppard Air Force Base. Mr. Engle served as an assistant coach at East Texas State University, head coach at Wills Point High School, assistant coach at Galveston Ball High School and Irving High School and head coach at Cuero High School. He retired from coaching as an assistant at Trinity High School in 1975. He retired from teaching in 1986 at Trinity High School.
Mr. Engle was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Moody Engle; his parents, Oscar Elmo and Alberta Engle; and sister, Margaret Nance.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Susan Engle of Bedford; grandchildren, Erin Patricia Engle, Julia Nicole Engle, William Thomas Engle III and Charles Wesley Engle, all of Bedford; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Wanda Engle of Garland; niece, Leigh Rose Moffet of Flower Mound; and nephew, Col. William T. Nance of Copperas Cove.

Laura Harriman was born Dec. 9, 1906, in Youngstown, Ohio.
She grew up in Youngstown and later married John William Harriman. She served proudly as a member of the American Red Cross and served her country during World War II as a bomb inspector. Numbered among her many accomplishments was an early career in cosmetology followed by a career in licensed practical nursing. She moved to Texas in 1962 to help raise the children of her widowed daughter, Roberta Spencer. After her move to Arlington, she became a licensed real estate broker and worked at a prestigious realty firm. Having an appreciation for art, she studied painting and discovered a talent which led her to become a member of the Starving Artists Guild. Her gentle and unselfish nature will be forever missed by the many souls she touched.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John; her son, James; brothers, Roy, Charles, Raymond and Leo; and by sisters, Helen, Marian, Jean and Frances.
Survivors: Daughter, Roberta H. Spencer of Arlington; brother, Philip Organic of Campbell, Ohio; and grandchildren, Terry, Rebecca, Rochelle, Dean, Lori, Jack, James, Kerry and Kim.
