He was preceded in death by his father, Neal Shockley, and sister, Vickie Shockley.

Survivors: Ex-wife, Charlotte Shockley of Watauga; mother, Corene Shockley of Fort Worth; sister, Pamela Ulan and husband, Gerald R. of Albion, Pa.; paternal grandmother, Gladys Landers of California; three aunts, Donna Wesberry, Juanita Grmela, and Pauline Carlburg, all of Fort Worth; uncle, Donald Scott of Granbury; two nephews, Steven and Gerald Ulan; one niece, Donna Ulan; and three great-nieces and nephews.

Audie Stovall
ARLINGTON -- Audie Stovall, 89, a homemaker, died Saturday, July 5, 1997, in Arlington.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday at Arlington Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Visitation: 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Audie Stovall was born June 9, 1908, in Hartford, Ark. She had been a resident of Arlington since 1958, and had also lived in Fort Worth. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God.

Survivors: Sons, Ralph Stovall of Arlington and Samuel Stovall of Fort Worth; daughters, Worleta Eubanks of Grapevine, Lois Beck of Tulsa, Okla. and Ola Mae McEver of Arlington; brothers, A.L. Sanders of Fort Worth and Leonard Sanders of McAlester, Okla.; 26 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Jane McDougal Taylor
DECATUR -- Jane McDougal Taylor, 80, a homemaker, died Monday, June 30, 1997, in Decatur.

Funeral: none planned.

Jane McDougal Taylor was born June 13, 1917. Jane was a Christian woman who liked all people no matter what their race or social stature. She was an excellent swimmer and could drive a golf ball like Tiger Woods. Jane opened the first taco stand on River Oaks Boulevard in 1959 and also brought the famous mole' sauce to her brother's restaurant, "The House of Mole'."

She was a fine person and a loving mother who will be missed by all who knew her. God bless you, Jane.

Survivors: Her husband, Jake Taylor of Decatur; son, Douglas McDougal of Mansfield; daughter, Sabina Neal of Canyon Lake; brother, Pete Hughes of Hilo, Hawaii; sister, Virginia Kullberg of Palm Desert, Calif.; and grandchildren, Mike, Sherry and Rene'.

HALTOM CITY -- Purdie S. Thompson, 96, a homemaker, died Friday, July 4, 1997, at her residence.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Owens and Brumley Funeral Home. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Purdie Thompson was born Aug. 8, 1900, in Blooming Grove, but she was reared in Dawson. The family expresses special appreciation to Pacesetters Home Care and Hospice, Dr. Herman Rose, Rex Owen, Peggy Wade, Laverne Lott and all loyal and faithful friends of Birdville Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by husband, Ramie Arnold Thompson, Sr. in 1987, son, R.A. Thompson Jr., four sisters and two brothers.

Survivors: Son, Robert Thompson and wife, Mary, of Keller; daughters, Wynona Gipson of Houston, Virginia and Dr. L.A. Berry of Tampa, Fla. and Frances and Don Dunaway of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; brother, Dr. Gus Farmer and wife, Janie, of Dallas; sister- in-law, Lucy Bolton Farmer of Denton; nine grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
