Lyle W. Reynolds
SEATTLE -- Lyle W. Reynolds, 75, a retired captain for United Airlines, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, in Homer, Alaska, while on a trip to the Aleutian Islands.
Lyle W. Reynolds was born Aug. 14, 1921, in Eastland, Texas, to Roy A. and Minnie Diediker Reynolds.
He was a resident of Fort Worth, where he graduated from Paschal High School in the class of 1939. He attended Texas A&M University. He was a flight instructor in the CPT program until he started flying for United Airlines in 1944. He had been stationed in Seattle, Denver, San Francisco, and back to Seattle in 1975.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Bette Le Brasseur Reynolds, in 1981, and his brother, Bruce W. Reynolds, in 1995.
Survivors: Daughters and sons-in- law, Linda Louise and DuWayne Lang of Auke Bay, Alaska, and Margaret Ann and John Haney of Port Angeles, Wash.; son, Bruce W. Reynolds of Seattle; twin sister and brother-in-law, Louise R. and Homer L. FORT WORTH -- James Marvin Richardson Sr., 65, a Postal Service mail handler, passed away Saturday, June 21, 1997, at home.
Funeral: 1 p.m. Friday at Baker Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Visitation: noon to 9 p.m. with wake from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
James Richardson Sr. was born Sept. 17, 1931, in Chandler, Texas, and was the son of the late Edgar Miles Richardson and Tommie Washington- Richardson. He moved to Fort Worth at an early age. He attended James E. Guinn Elementary. He joined the Army and served from 1949 to 1950. He served in the Air Force from 1950 to 1960 as a staff sergeant. He later worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail handler.
He was united in holy matrimony with the late Mary Louise Richardson- Richardson on December 5, 1957; this union was blessed with six children.
His wife, Mary Louise Richardson- Richardson, preceded him in death on June 11, 1996, and a son, Ricky Lee Richardson Sr., preceded both parents, in death on May 28, 1988.
