Arvalle Casey was born Nov. 19, 1907, in Greenwood, Texas. He was a member of the Christian Temple Assembly of God in North Richland Hills. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and was awarded the Purple Heart.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Dee Casey of Detroit, Mich.; daughter and son-in-law, Dona and Bill Kettl of Tulsa, Okla.; brother, Forrest Casey of Grand Prairie; six grandchildren; and several great- grandchildren.

George H. Colvin
FORT WORTH -- George H. Colvin, 66, a retired Mobil Oil petroleum engineer, died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at his home.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Thursday at St. Andrews Episcopal Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

George H. Colvin was born in Fort Worth on April 24, 1931, to George H. Colvin Sr. and Mary Stovall Colvin. He graduated from Paschal High School and received a B.S. degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon.
Following graduation, he worked as a petroleum engineer for Mobil Oil in West Texas, Oklahoma, South Louisiana and Natchez, Miss. While in Natchez, he met Joyce Ruth Brown of Metairie, La. God blessed them with four children, all of whom have accepted the Lord as their Savior.
As his career progressed, he worked for Mobil as a supervisor and manager in Morgan City, La.; Freer, Corpus Christi and Victoria, Texas; Lake Charles and New Orleans, La.; Stavanger, Norway; and Denver, Colo. He retired in Denver as production operations manager, responsible for production west of the Rocky Mountains.
Following retirement, he and Joyce moved to Fort Worth, where he was a discussion leader for Bible Study Fellowship, active at St. Andrews as a vestry member, in the oil business and enjoying his children and grandchildren.
The things he was most proud of in his life were his close relationship with the Lord; his 40-year marriage with Joyce; the fact that all his children know the Lord; his seven grandchildren; the relationship he had with dear friends at Bible Study Fellowship and at St. Andrews; and his opportunity to let God speak through him during his bout with cancer.
Survivors: His wife of 40 years, Joyce Brown Colvin of Fort Worth; sons and daughters-in-law, George H. and Patricia Folk Colvin of San Antonio, James M. and Annie Colvin of Orsa, Sweden, and Richard B. and Angela Carochi Colvin of Bakersfield, Calif.; daughter and son-in- law, Nancy Angela and D. John Fegan of Bedford; sister, Angela Colvin Gaylor of Denver, Colo.; aunt, Ruth Stovall Brown of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Johnnie, George, Paul, Peter and David Fegan of Bedford and Erik and Rebecca Colvin of Orsa, Sweden.

Eva Viola Scott Cornell was born Dec. 24, 1908, in Beaver County, Okla.
She had been a resident of Fort Worth for the past 52 years. She was a seamstress for both Robert Hall Men's Clothing and Cox's Department Store of Fort Worth until she retired. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lake Worth.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis Bushnell Cornell, in 1989.

Jimmy Gaines was born Aug. 1, 1943, in Fort Worth. Mr. Gaines retired on Jan. 31, 1997, as a fire inspector with the Fort Worth Fire Marshall's Office. He worked for 27 years with the fire department. Mr. Gaines was an avid golfer and was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by a son, Barton Gaines, and a daughter, Carol Roland.

Richard Dale Hamilton was born Oct. 1, 1951, in Peoria, Ill. A member of American Legion Post 75 in Mineral Wells, he served in the Navy on the USS Newport News during the Vietnam War.
