John Redell
John Reddell, 39, of Baytown was born March 19, 1969 in Jennings, LA and passed away Thursday, December 18, 2008 in Baytown. He was a 1987 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, where he was a member of the baseball team and attended Lee College and hazardous material training school in Colorado. He loved making music.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robbie Reddell and Donald Ray Witsman and is survived by his parents, D. D. and Georgia Reddell of Baytown; grandmother, Harriett Adams of Jennings, LA; sisters, Rhonda Thomas of Lake Charles, LA and Tami Witsman of Houston; brothers, Tom Witsman of Shreveport, LA and Doug Reddell of Baytown; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home starting at 9:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2008 with a memorial service to follow at 10:00 a.m.

Billy Delano Vann
Billy Delano Vann, 70, of Highlands, Texas passed away Friday, December 19, 2008. He was born on November 1, 1938 to William Martin and Martha Jane Vann in Highlands, Texas. Billy retired from the US Army in 1977 after serving 20 years. He enjoyed watching old John Wayne movies. He also loved to cook and won many trophies at cook-offs. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Billy is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Miriam Lorene Vann. He is survived by his widow, Sun Nam Vann of Highlands; children, John Martin Vann and wife Cindy of Highlands, Marchelle Lorene Hassell and husband Wesley of Highlands, James Alan Vann of Highlands, and Rose Marie Vann of Channelview; sister, Anna Vann Duke, grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Cody, Katie, James Jr., Clark, and Chris.
A visitation for family and friends will be Monday, December 22 from five until eight o’clock in the evening at Sterling-White Funeral Home. A service of remembrance will be held Tuesday, December 23 at ten o’clock in the morning at Sterling-White Funeral Home with interment to follow in Sterling-White Cemetery.

Grady Druey Herrington
Funeral services for Grady Druey Herrington 94, of Bois D’Arc will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday at the Bois D’Arc Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Drinkard officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home.
Grady Druey Herrington went to be with the Lord on December 20, 2008. He was born in Anderson County on August 29, 1914 to George Andrew and Ida Mae Harris Herrington.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 70 years Emy Johnson Herrington, brothers William Herrington, Martin Herrington, Marshall Herrington, Robert Herrington, Bud Herrington and Edgar Herrington, sisters, Ina Mae Schwartz, LaVerne Kownslar, Laura Williams, nieces Pesh Ham and Darling Comby, nephews Joe Johnson and Robert F. Herringt6on.
He is survived by his brother Jimmy Calvin Herrington and wife Ruby of Bulverde, son Gary Norris Herrington and wife Anna Beth of Beach City, daughter Charlotte Herrington Laughlin and husband Thomas of Houston, grandsons, Scot Grady Laughlin and Brandt Herrington of Austin and Ryan Herrington of Eagle Pass, Great-grandchildren, John Ross Laughlin, Jackson Ryder Laughlin of Hubbard, and Alana Herrington of Austin, sister-in-law Marie Johnson of Montalba and many nieces and nephews.
Grady and Emy returned to Anderson County after he retired in 1974. He was a life long Mason and an active member of the Bois D’Arc Baptist Church.
His family would like to express their appreciation to the members of the Bois D’Arc Baptist Church, friends and others in the community for their loving support and care, who brought so much joy into his life, the last few years.
Condolence calls will be received 2:00 pm Tuesday at the church.
