DESTIN, Fla. -- Shirley R. Jackson, 61, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at home.
Graveside services: 2 p.m. Monday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Shirley Jackson was born Feb. 10, 1936, in Dallas.
She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Herron Jackson.
Mrs. Jackson was born to Henry and Jessica McKinney Rice. She had been a resident of the Northwest Florida area since Nov. of 1996. Mrs. Jackson was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who know and loved her.

Harry H. Keeton
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Harry Hampton Keeton, 90, died Monday, February 17, 1997, in Oklahoma City.
Funeral: was at Quail Springs Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. Burial: Memorial Park Cemetery of Oklahoma City.

Harry Hampton Keeton was born Jan. 16, 1907, in Fort Worth to Harry and Jo L. Keeton. He graduated with a B.A. degree from Texas A & M in 1930 and was captain of the basketball team. On July 24, 1930, Harry married the sweetheart of his life, Edith Thelma Davis who after 63 happy years of marriage preceded him in death in 1993. He was also preceded in death by their son, the Rev. Harry C.F. Keeton in 1984.
Harry Hampton Keeton had a happy, rich, active life. He was an entrepreneur in the textile and mattress industries and was instrumental in furthering the careers of many individuals. He was president and chairman of the board of Rodman Textiles Inc. and Keeton Industries Inc. He was a longtime faithful member of Olivet Baptist, Nichols Hills Baptist and Quail Springs Baptist Churches where he served as chairman of the board of deacons. Harry was a longtime member of Quail Creek Country Club, the Exchange Club, the National Association of Bedding Manufacturers, the International Sleep Products Association, the Texas A&M Alumni Association and the 66 Bowling Leagues. He will be remembered and missed as a faithful, loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather.
His grandson, Peter John Duncan Jr. operates the Original Mattress Factory in the same location in Fort Worth as Mr. Keeton did.
Mr. Keeton was honored earlier this year at a 90th birthday party in his home where 164 people helped him celebrate. Hosts were Doris K. Duncan and Edie and Bob Ragland.
Ribbon cake, Italian cream cake and chocolate fudge creme de menthe cake were served. One table was decorated with balloons, a bowling ball cake and a basketball cake. Mr. Keeton bowled twice a week.
Virginia Campbell played the piano.
Guests included his grandchildren, Cheri Duncan, Tim and Sallie Duncan and Tami and Peter Duncan Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Kimberlyn Anne and Trey Duncan and Katherine and Stuart Duncan, all of Fort Worth.
The family wishes to express special appreciation to Pacer Fitness Center, 66 Bowling Leagues, members of the Exchange Club, Quail Springs Baptist Church and his Texas Aggie friends.

Josephine Lang was born June 2, 1919, in Buffalo, N.Y. She was an executive secretary at Buffalo General Hospital and Erie County Medical Center for 10 years. She served 14 years in the Volunteer Tax Assistance Program in Daytona Beach and Fort Worth. She was a Volunteer Guardian for Tarrant County and for the Home Energy Assistance Program of Tarrant County. She was a lifelong member of Good Shepard Episcopal Church.

Mattie Sue Mimms was born June 6, 1918, in Arkadelphia, Ark. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Glen Rose. She loved to cook and enjoyed fishing with Mr. Mimms. Her hobby and vocation was her family.

GRAND PRAIRIE -- Marie Daugherty Motley, 81, a lifelong resident of Grand Prairie, died Friday, June 13, 1997, at an Arlington hospital after a long illness.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church. Burial: Southland Cemetery. Officiating, Rev. Tommy Wier.

Mrs. Motley was born Nov. 23, 1915, in what was then rural Grand Prairie. Following the death of her father in 1929, she helped her mother rear six other brothers and sisters. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie from 1930 to 1992, when she united with her son's family at the Calvary Baptist Church in Grand Prairie. She was a 50- year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter 219.
On Oct. 14, 1933, she married Gene Motley. She recently said that the following years were the happiest and best of her life. Following World War II and the birth of her son, Lynn, she became a homemaker. She was a schoolroom mother, active PTA member and served as an election judge for many years. Marie Motley was a faithful wife and loving mother. She has left her family with a legacy of confidence and hope. This wonderful and kind soul is now sheltered in the Arms of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Motley, in 1987, brothers, John Daugherty, Ross Daugherty and Ken Daugherty and sister, Imogene Davie.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Tonnie Motley; grandson, Cory; sisters, Lucille Smith of San Marcos and Johnnie Gentry of Dallas; and many nieces and nephews.
