WATAUGA -- Arthur C. Berglund, 77, a retired salesman, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, at a Bedford hospital.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville.
Arthur Berglund was born May 8, 1920, in Chicago, Ill. Mr. Berglund served with the Army Air Force in the South Pacific during World War II. Mr. Berglund had resided in Texas since 1951. He married Billie Louise Berglund on Aug. 28, 1954, in Waco.
Survivors: Wife, Billie Louise Berglund; sons, Larry Clifton Berglund of Houston, and Terry Wayne Berglund, Gary Arthur Berglund and John Walter Berglund, all of Fort Worth; grandsons, Rick Clark of Houston and Jack Anderson of Fort Worth; granddaughters, Tammy Inman of Houston, and Annie Berglund and April Berglund, both of Fort Worth; and great-granddaughter, Katelyn Inman of Houston.

FORT WORTH -- David Berstein, 81, a retired investments worker, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, at All Saints Episcopal Hospital.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday at Robertson Mueller Harper Funeral Directors, Rabbi Sidney Zimelman and Cantor Elliot Rosenbaum will officiate. Burial: Ahavath Sholom Cemetery.

David Bernstein was born Sept. 3, 1915, in Fort Worth. He was a native and resident of Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by his son, his parents, Sam and Sarah, and his brothers, Louis and Phillip. He was a decorated veteran after serving in the Navy during World War II. David was a member of Congregation Ahavath Sholom and the Lions Club.
Survivors: Sisters-in-law, Ruth Bernstein of Fort Worth, Rhoda Bernstein of Waco; beloved friend, Esther Rothrock of Fort Worth; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

William E. Blakeway
BEDFORD -- William E. "Bill" Blakeway, 70, who was a retired courtesy driver for Texas Motors, died Saturday, June 14, 1997, at a Bedford nursing home.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin.
Memorials: American Cancer Society.
Mr. Blakeway was born Oct. 18, 1926, in San Antonio.
He had been a resident of Tarrant County since 1947. He attended Texas Christian University where he played in the band two years. He was a World War II veteran Air Force pilot. He served in Alaska, the Aleutian Islands and in the Battle of Kuril Island.
He was reported Missing In Action, but was interned in Russia for four months. He received the Air Force Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and The Presidential Unit of Citation. He later worked for Tarrant Office Supply and Texas Motors.
He was preceded in death by his wife Amy; parents W. H. and Frances Blakeway; and sister, Edith Rothelle.
Survivors: Sister, Dee Jones of Hurst; nephews, Jerry Jones and wife, Linda of Duncanville, Glen Rothelle of Alpine; nieces, Janine Simpson of Mount Pleasant, Kay Rothelle of Fort Worth; and several great nieces and nephews.

The former Jewell Rosetta Shipman was born Aug. 13, 1915, in St. Joe, Ark. She married Odell Alvin Cartwright on June 14, 1935, in Borger, and had lived in Benbrook since 1993, coming there from Ardmore. She was Baptist.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joe Allen Cartwright, in 1993.
Survivors: Husband, Odell Alvin Cartwright of the home; son and his wife, Jim and Melba Cartwright of Fort Worth; six grandchildren; and 12 great- grandchildren.
