Shirley Ann McCollum
STEPHENVILLE -- Shirley Ann McCollum, 58, died Thursday, June 5, 1997, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m Saturday at Stephenville Fuenral Home. Burial: Clariette Cemetery.
Shirley Ann McCollum was devoted to her family and was a beloved mother, wife and sister. She married Harris McCollum on Nov. 7, 1957, and had four children. Her son, Michael Martin McCollum, preceded her in death in 1959.
During her life Shirley had many hobbies, including arts and crafts. She loved holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween. She was always full of fun and laughter. She spent many proud years as a Girl Scout leader where she spent much time and energy.
Shirley had suffered for the last seven years from the effects of strokes and other medical conditions. Throughout her illness she kept a sweet and loving spirit. God has now taken away her suffering.
Shirley was a Christian and member of Riverside Baptist Church of Stephenville. She was loved by many.
The family wishes to thank the many friends, Dr. Moore and the staffs of Mulberry Manor and Harris Methodist Hospital for the love, care and support during her illness.

She graduated from Granbury High School in 1991, Baylor University in 1995 and Texas Tech in 1997. She was a member of Kappa Chi Alpha at Baylor University.

GUAYNABO, Puerto Rico -- Kathryn "Katie" Louise Kaiser Phillips, 71, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 1997, at a hospital in San Juan, Puerto Rico, after an extended illness complicated by pneumonia.
Memorial service and reception: 3 p.m. Monday at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 3290 Lackland Road in Fort Worth.

Katie was born Aug. 23, 1925, in Weatherford, Okla. She graduated from Weatherford High School in 1943 and attended the University of Oklahoma until 1945, when she married William Gene Phillips. During her career, she worked with the Fairfax, Va., Health Department; as a junior logistician for the Satellite Tracking Station in Kaena Point, Hawaii; for the Pacific Exchange Service in quality control statistics in Honolulu; and taught in private international preparatory school in Bangkok, Thailand.
In 1974 she settled in Fort Worth, Texas, and became employed as an EKG technician at the Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital. In May 1975 she became department manager of electrodiagnostics. She retired from the hospital in 1989. She served as directoress of the Flower Guild at Christ the King Episcopal Church in Fort Worth until 1994. In September 1996 she moved to Puerto Rico to live with her daughter.
Survivors: Her brother, Robert W. Kaiser of Fresno, Calif.; sister, Bette Baker of Fort Worth; children, Michael Haag Phillips of Clinton, Miss., and Marian Louise Christensen of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Shelley, Courtney, Katie and Keith; and a great- granddaughter, Chelsea.

SAGINAW -- Otis F. "Frank" Rowe, 57, a retired Air Force gunnery sergeant, died Thursday, June 5, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Otis F. "Frank" Rowe was born in Joplin, Mo., on July 23, 1939, and had lived in Saginaw for 22 years. He was with the Tarrant County Sheriff's Office for 14 years. Mr. Rowe was a Baptist.
