Dr. William Raymond Mills Jr. was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Dallas. He received the Society of Professional Well Log Analysts Award for distinguished technical achievement.

Brady Lee Mootz
FORT WORTH -- Brady Lee Mootz, 78, a hospital administrator, died Saturday, May 31, 1997, at home.
Memorial service: 4 p.m. Monday at University Christian Church. Entombment: 11 a.m. Monday at Hillcrest Mausoleum in Dallas.
Memorials: The Gentry Shelton Music Fund or the Granville and Erline Walker Scholarship Fund at University Christian Church.
Brady Mootz was born Nov. 5, 1918, in Huntington, W.Va.. He had lived in Fort Worth since 1975. He graduated from Kemper Military Academy, the University of Minnesota with a bachelor of science, Ohio State University with a master's of business administration and the University of Chicago with a master's of business adminstration. He served five years in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was discharged as a Lt. Commander.
He was a Fellow of the American Hospital Association and he was president of the North Carolina and South Carolina Hospital Associations. He was a member of University Christian Church, where he was an elder. He was also a member of the Rotary, and a 32nd degree Mason and member of the Shrine in Columbus, Ohio.
He was the builder of Medical Plaza Hospital and its administrator for 10 years. In 1984, the Dallas and Fort Worth Hospital Council honored Mr. Mootz and Richard Connor with the Boone Powell Award.
He was preceded in death by grandson, Brady Lee Mootz, III.

Lula Hortence Pollard was born Nov. 22, 1910, in Marlin. She had lived in Fort Worth for more than 70 years after moving from Marlin.
She attended the old historical I.M. Terrell Senior High School.
Lula Hortence joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. Huff.
She was a member of the first-aid nursing guild, Missionary Society, Condolence Committee and the Order of Eastern Star.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Randolph "Randy" Powell, 40, Western Regional Manager of Operations for First Union Management of Dallas, died Tuesday, May 27, 1997, in Waco as a result of an automobile accident.

James G. Sparto was born July, 13, 1921, in Fort Worth to Gus and Angela Hajadria Sparto.
He graduated from Carter Riverside High School in 1939.
Mr. Sparto followed in his father's footsteps, farming with his family in north Fort Worth for his entire life.
He was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. Demetrios and a longtime member of Riverside Lion's Club, where he served on the board of directors. He was also a board member of the Tarrant County Farm Bureau and the Feed and Grain Committee.
