Martha Wynetta Baker was born June 29, 1915, in Daingerfield and had lived in Burleson more than 60 years. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Burleson and had formerly taught Sunday school. She enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her husband, James Royce Baker, and daughter, Elinor Clair Baker.

Andrew Campbell Jr. was born Jan. 4, 1914, in Temple, Texas. He was the retired owner of Jack Campbell Machinery and Supplies. He attended Arlington State College. He was an active member of Glenview Baptist Church, where he played in the ukulele band and belonged to the LLL class. Jack Campbell always enjoyed playing with the ukulele band at nursing homes and other functions.
Mr. Campbell was a loving husband, father, and grandparent who enjoyed the company of his family and friends, his church, music and fishing. During his younger years, he played clarinet in several bands. Jazz was one of his favorite styles of music. Later, gospel music became another of his favorites.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Melba Bass.

FORT WORTH -- Arthur Lee Denmon, 86, owner and operator of a tire service company who retired in 1970, died Monday, May 26, 1997, at a local hospital.

Arthur Denmon was born April 25, 1911, in Mansfield. The son of J.C. and Amanda Denmon, he grew up and graduated from public schools in Mansfield. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served in the Pacific Theater until his honorable discharge.
Mr. Denmon was an experienced tire man for large commercial truck rigs. He contracted major fleets and provided maintenance and service. "Buck," as he was affectionately known, was an avid baseball fan and enjoyed easy-listening music.
Survivors: Wife, Frances Warren Denmon of Fort Worth; daughter, Audrey D. Hester and her husband, Jim; one niece; several cousins; and other family members and many friends.
