A native of Kiev, Russia, Edith moved to Fort Worth and graduated from Central High School. She was a partner with her husband, Leo, at Leo's Jewelry and Loan. Mr. Salzman preceded her in death in 1986.

FORT WORTH -- Sylvia Shilling, 81, a teacher and real estate agent, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Sylvia Shilling was born Dec. 13, 1915, in Fort Worth. She was a member of the Woman's Club of Fort Worth (the 62 Club). She was a former member of the Bible Study Fellowship and Women's Medical Auxiliary of Fort Worth and a member of North Fort Worth Baptist Church and Broadway Baptist Church. She was a Texas Christian University alumnae and a Fort Worth Opera Guild member.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Rodrigs- Shilling, and her parents, John and Myrtle Flippen.
Survivors: Former husband, Harold Shilling, M.D.; son, Jon Shilling and his wife, Connie, of Fort Worth; daughter, Sharon Shilling Rodrigs of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Luther Shilling and Lacey Shilling.

Benny Bob "Big Ben" Stone was born July 5, 1934, in Bowie, but was raised in Fort Worth most of his life. Benny was owner and operator of Big Ben's Pawn Shop in Fort Worth for many years.
His kindness and generosity touched many people. He was a man of character and never met a person he didn't make friends with. He helped so many people in his life, all too numerous to mention. Benny loved life to the fullest and enjoyed his family so much and the many friends he shared with. His Christian heart touched all of us.
The family wishes to thank sincerely the doctors and staff of John Peter Smith Hospital and MICU for the devotion and care Benny received. Mrs. Stone extends a very special appreciation to Dr. Michael Casa Grande for his relentless and caring treatments for her husband.
