AZLE -- Tommie Jo Ramey, 91, a retired nurse, died Wednesday, June 4, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.

Graveside service: 2 p.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Tommie Jo Ramey was born Feb. 7, 1906, in Wolfe City. She had been a resident of the Fort Worth area for 50 years. She was an LVN at All Saints Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1970. She was a member of North Fort Worth Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Ramey Sr., in 1978.

Survivors: Son, James Bryant Ramey Jr. of Azle; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Permelia F. Grant Scott
FORT WORTH -- Permelia Frances Grant Scott, 74, a registered nurse, died Wednesday, June 4, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 3 p.m. Sunday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home. Dr. Michael Dean will officiate. Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday in Pinecrest Memorial Park in Little Rock, Ark.

Memorials: American Cancer Society or a charity of choice.

Permelia Scott was born Aug. 6, 1922, in Leola, Ark.

She had been a Fort Worth resident since 1960 and was a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church and the Double Faith Class. She was a graduate of the Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Memphis, Tenn., and was a nursing supervisor at St. Joseph Hospital and All Saints Hospital.

Survivors: Husband of 52 years, Wallace W. Scott; daughter, Frances L. Smith of Menominee, Mich.; sister, Wanda G. Harrison of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Karon L. Wright, Joseph D. Smith and Margaret Smith; and nieces and nephews.

GRANBURY -- Joy Slatten, 75, a dry cleaning industry presser, died Wednesday, June 4, 1997, at a Granbury nursing home.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial: Georges Creek Cemetery in Somervell County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Joy Slatten was born June 17, 1921, in Acton. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a Church of Christ member.

Survivors: Sons and daughter-in-law, Ernest and Mary Slatten and Danny Slatten, all of Granbury; daughter and son- in-law, Robbie and B.J. Allmon of Granbury; seven grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; sister-in-law, Roxie Cheek of Granbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Duane R. Souhrada was born Jan. 19, 1944, in Lime Springs, Iowa.

Survivors: Wife, Debbie Souhrada of Joshua; sons, Todd Souhrada of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Troy Souhrada of Muscatine, Iowa, and Chris Souhrada of Inola, Okla.; sisters, Janice Crawley of Indianapolis, Ind., and Erma Souhrada of Joshua; and two grandchildren.

Mildred G. Williams was born Oct. 25, 1912, in Britton.

Via Hogan was born Dec. 11, 1907, in Osage County, Okla., to John B. and Lucy Anne Myers Anderson. She graduated from Sand Springs High School in 1925. She married Tom Hogan in Pawnee, Okla. She lived in the Fort Worth area for over 57 years. She was a member of the Church of God and was a life member of the VFW post in Saginaw.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two children, Betty Jean and Bobbie Joan.

Survivors: Brother, John M. Anderson; and nieces, Patricia Anderson and Sandra Anderson Bokovoy.

Edith Lefevre was born Feb. 27, 1918, in Walnut Springs and had lived in Fort Worth since 1943. She was a nurse for Dr. Melvin Johnson for 37 years before retiring. She was a member of Arlington Heights Church of Christ.

Survivors: Sister, Ethel Atchison and her husband, Elwood, of Clifton; nieces, Bernice Fisher of San Antonio, Ethelene Roye of Cleburne and Laverne Williams of Long Beach, Calif.; nephew, Thomas Lefevre of Long Beach, Calif.; and numerous great-nieces and great- nephews.

Rebah A. Lindsay was born Jan. 27, 1903, in Cryer Creek, Texas. She was a former Fort Worth resident and had lived in Tulsa for three years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hague L. Lindsay Sr., a former principal of Carter-Riverside High School of Fort Worth.

Mrs. Lindsay was a member of West Berry Church of Christ and enjoyed sewing.

Survivors: Son, Hague L. Lindsay Jr. of Tulsa; daughters, LaFaun Morgan of Park Hill, Okla., and Lenore Springer of New Caney, Texas; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nephews, Athol Edmondson and Cloyd Edmondson; and nieces, Azalee Tatum, Aneece Allan and Mary Lu Throckmorton.

Anna Belle Manley was born May 3, 1910, in Waldrip. She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Manley. She was a high school basketball star player at Salt Gap.

Survivors: Sons, William Ray Manley, Teddy Manley and Gary Manley, all of Fort Worth; daughters, Marthella McDowell of Rhome and Pat Carroll of Fort Worth; brother, Short Herd of Bend; sisters, Rita Baker of Coahoma and Frances Elliott of Bakersfield, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Hubert R. McBride Sr. was born Jan. 23, 1911, in Salem, Ark., and lived in the Veal Station community for 50 years. He was a Mason 62 years and a member of Lodge No. 92. He owned and operated Papco Construction for a number of years and worked for Swift & Co. for 37 years. He was married 651/2 years.

Survivors: Wife of 651/2 years, Rosa Nell McBride; sons, Richard McBride and his wife, Doris, Barry McBride and his wife, La Wanah, and Kenneth McBride and his wife, Linda, all of Fort Worth; daughters, Patsy Springfield and her husband, Kenneth, of Azle, and Vicki Newman of Irving; brothers, Glen McBride of Mesquite and C.B. Capps of Denton; 11 grandchildren; 17 great- grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
