FORT WORTH -- Robert E. Crouch, 83, a retired government warehouse employee, died Friday, May 23, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gambrell Street Baptist Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Robert Crouch was born March 2, 1914, in Barstow. He was a member of Gambrell Street Baptist Church and an Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors: Wife, Ila Crouch of Fort Worth; brother, G.B. Crouch of Barstow; niece, Madeline Perkins of Vidor; and other nieces and nephews.

Margarette Myrick Dalton

FORT WORTH -- Margarette Myrick Dalton, 87, a homemaker, died Friday, May 23, 1997, at a local care center.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park.

Honorary pallbearers: William E. Francis Jr., Walter "Lee" Lacy III, Troy Nokes and James E. Sharp Jr.

Memorials: Family Hospice of Fort Worth, 4040 Fossil Creek Blvd., Suite 204, Fort Worth, 76137.

Margarette Dalton was born April 30, 1910, in Fort Worth and was a lifelong area resident. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church 70 years. She was a volunteer for All Saints Episcopal Auxiliary and contributed more than 4,000 hours in devoted service to the hospital.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patsy Myrick DeForest, and sons, Arch L. "Bud" Myrick Jr. and Lawrence H. Dalton.

Special gratitude to the staff of Renaissance Park for providing a "home away from home."

Appreciation to Dr. David P. Capper and staff of Family Hospice of Fort Worth, for believing in the total care of a person, which includes body, mind and soul.

Survivors: Grandson, James L. Myrick Sr. and his wife, Margaret; and brothers, Bobby Brown of Oregon and Fred Brown of California.

Rick Herbert Efflandt

DALLAS -- Rick Herbert Efflandt, 37, a church chaplain, died Friday, May 23, 1997, in Lewisville.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Lakeland Baptist Church, Lewisville. Visitation: 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.

Rick Efflandt was born March 1, 1960, in Dallas. He was a student at Texas Christian University, where he was one year from attaining his Master's Degree of Divinity. He was an assistant chaplain at the Cathedral of Hope in Dallas.

Survivors: Parents, Fred and Betty Efflandt of Lewisville; brother, Randy Efflandt and his wife, Dona, of Rhome; sister, Lee Ann Porter and her husband, Allan Porter, of Flower Mound; three nieces; and one nephew.

Edward A. Fish

FORT WORTH -- Edward A. Fish, 74, a retired supervisor for General Dynamics, died Friday, May 23, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: Pending.

Edward Fish was born March 28, 1923, in Moriah, N.Y. He retired from General Dynamics after 34 years. He was a decorated Navy veteran of World War II who served from 1941 to 1947 aboard the USS Long Island and USS Bennington.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Sandy Leist, and father, Augustus.

Survivors: Wife, Jackie P. Fish; daughters, Jana Hartnett and husband, Jerry, of Lenexa, Kan., and Beverly Wyatt and husband, Royce, of Crowley; mother, Mildred Pepper Cook of Lancaster, Calif.; mother-in-law, Lorraine Phillips of Sayre, Okla.; sister, Joyce White and husband, Jack, of Lancaster, Calif; and eight grandchildren.

Alberta Thomas Ford

FORT WORTH -- Alberta Thomas Ford, 90, a retired domestic worker, died Wednesday, May 21, 1997, at a local hospital.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Christ Way Baptist Church, 3931 Ave. J. Burial: Skyvue Memorial Gardens. Visitation: Noon to 5 p.m. Monday at Gregory W. Spencer Funeral Directors.

Alberta Ford was born Sept. 6, 1906, in LaGrange. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Tom Clemmons and Rev. Luther Ford.

Survivors: Daughter, Ruby Jones and her husband, W.B., of Fort Worth; brothers, Charles A. Thomas of Waco and Floyd Thomas and Baby Ray Thomas, both of Dallas; sister, Laurean Russell of Dallas; grandson, Lehman Jones (Kalie); great-grandson, Edwin Kent Jones; and nieces and nephews.

James Francis

BURLESON -- James Francis, 60, a retired Air Force technical sergeant and security guard, died Saturday, May 24, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Graveside service: 11 a.m. Tuesday in Greenacres Memorial Park. Military Graveside rites: Held by Dyess Air Force Base Honor Guard.

Mr. Francis was born Dec. 16, 1936, in Cranfills Gap.

He was an accomplished line drawing artist and a Methodist.

ARLINGTON -- Erasmo Garcia, 26, a restaurant cook, died Friday, May 23, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Mr. Garcia was born Nov. 25, 1970, in San Juan Del Rio, Durango, Mexico.

He was a resident of Arlington and a cook for Ninfas Restaurant. He will be taken to Mexico for burial.

Vera Hopper was born May 24, 1906, in Plano. She was a charter member of River Oaks Baptist Church.

Anna Laura Humphreys

FORT WORTH -- Anna "Polly" Laura Humphreys, 85, a secretary, died Friday, May 23, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral: Pending. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum.

Anna Humphreys was born Nov. 5, 1911, in Louisville, Ky. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth. Her many interests included serving as president of Texas Insurance Women, Garden Club projects, Girls Service League and Duplicate Bridge & Womans Club. Cornbread dressing and African violets were her specialities, as well as a good game of cards. She loved her red-headed boys, "Billy & Bubby." She was and always will be "Our Gran Polly."

Mrs. Humphreys was preceded in death by her husband, W.R. Humphreys Sr. and by her son, W.E. Humphreys Jr.

Darwin T. Johnson

ARLINGTON -- Darwin T. Johnson, 42, a retired Marine Corps master sergeant, died Friday, May 23, 1997, in Dallas.

Funeral:10 a.m. Tuesday at New York Avenue Church of Christ in Arlington. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Arlington Funeral Home.

Mr. Johnson was born May 2, 1955, in Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and had been an Arlington resident since July 1989. He was a former resident of Yuma, Calif. He retired from the Marine Corps after 21 years of service. He had been employed by Texas Instruments since June 1996. Mr. Johnson was a member of the New York Avenue Church of Christ.

Survivors: Wife, Janell Johnson of Arlington; sons, Nathan Johnson, James Johnson and Scott Johnson; father, Lee Roy Johnson of Alexandra, La.; brothers, Glenn Johnson of Pollock, La., Calvin Johnson of Colfax, La.; sisters, Kimmie Bernard of Tioga, La., and Glenda Beebe of Colfax, La.
