Helen Holmes was born Jan. 25, 1949, in Fort Worth. She was a former member of Love Sanctuary Church of God in Christ. She was a graduate of I.M. Terrell High School.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Lenzy, on March 31, 1996, and uncle, Dr. E.L. Battle, on Dec. 11, 1996.

Grace B. Tibbetts Jackson was born June 28, 1918, in Sycamore, Ala.
She had been a resident of Arlington for five years and was a former resident of Port Neches, Texas. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, for the Port Arthur Chapter, and she was a member for 50 years. She was also a member of the Social Order of Beauchant.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Clara Grace Phillips.
Survivors: Husband, Wilburn Jackson of Arlington; sons, Dr. Leonard Tibbetts and his wife, Mary Jane, of Arlington and Claude N. Tibbetts and his wife, Gwen, of Baton Rouge, La.; eight grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Leona Mae Kinder
HALTOM CITY -- Leona Mae Kinder, 85, beloved mother, housewife and business woman, died Monday, May 19, 1997, at a North Richland Hills hospital following a series of strokes.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home. Graveside service: 1 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery in Weatherford. The Rev. Ronnie Williams will officiate.
Leona Mae Kinder was born May 8, 1912, in Prairie Hill in Limestone County.
Mrs. Kinder was a graduate of Groesbeck High School and attended Baylor University in Waco. She was the oldest of two daughters of A.B. "Boss" McKenzie and Lillie, former sheriff of Limestone County, 1926-1932, and chief of police in Mexia, 1932-1945.
Mrs. Kinder served as district clerk of Limestone County from 1940 through 1944. She married Virgil L. Kinder in 1945 and spent the remainder of her life in the Fort Worth area, working several years in the circulation department of All Church Press on Berry Street.
She was a saintly Christian woman and wonderful mother who loved her God, her son, her church and her Bible. She was a longtime valued member of Grace Baptist Church, Las Vegas Trail at Loop 820, since 1967.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil L. Kinder, in 1989. He was a cost accountant with Harry B. Friedman Construction Company of Fort Worth. She had been cared for in her home since 1989 by her son during incapacities after heart surgery and ultimate dementia.
Survivors: include her only child, her son, Jack Stanley Barefield of Fort Worth; sister, Cleo Ferguson of Mount Pleasant; niece, Margaret Jane Burrows of Mount Pleasant; and nephew, Dr. Williams A. Ferguson of Mount Pleasant.
