FORT WORTH -- Raymond A. Miller, 88, a manual arts therapist who retired in 1975, died Friday, May 16, 1997, at a local hospital.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Chapel of the Chimes at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.
Raymond Miller was born May 13, 1909, in Chattanooga, Tenn. He had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1925. He was a member of West Berry Church of Christ and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was with the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital 20 years. He also served in the Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by ten siblings.
Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Vernetta Miller of Fort Worth; daughter and son- in-law, Donna and Tom Carter of Dallas; sister, Wilma Dryden of Fort Worth; and grandchildren, Blake Carter of Dallas, Derek Carter of Princeton, N.J., and Wendy Carter of Dallas.

FORT WORTH -- Carole Anne O'Brien, 59, a pharmaceutical researcher, died Thursday, May 15, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Carole O'Brien was born Aug. 2, 1937, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Carole was a self-directed student of world history. She ardently studied the cultures of ancient Egypt, Israel, Russia and Europe. She had a strong curiosity about the world in general. She longed to travel the world to learn more about the diversity of its peoples.
Although she knew a great deal of "trivia," her concern was not for trivial matters, but for the more serious issues of social interaction. Her compassion for learning was known to all who made her acquaintance. She referred to her grandson as her "one perfect grandchild."

He married Wilma Louise Storie, May 25, 1946, in Tate Springs and was a member of Burleson Masonic Lodge 649.

She was a member of Cornerstone Community Church and had moved from Quinlan to New York.
Mrs. Romano moved to Arlington in 1954.

Mr. Roseberry was born July 12, 1927, in Breckenridge. He served one tour of duty in the Army in the military police. Following his discharge, he flew a crop- dusting plane in West Texas and worked in cotton gins. After marrying Wilma Kenney in 1951, he began cotton farming near Plains. In 1964, Charles and his family moved to Paul, Idaho, where he farmed until 1980. In 1981, Charles and Wilma moved to Hurst. Since 1983, they have owned their own specialty advertising business. He was a faithful member of Richland Hills Church of Christ.
He leaves behind a legacy of people who have been touched by his words of encouragement, his infectious sense of humor, his kind words and his great faith in God.

Mr. Stone was born March 24, 1908, in Mississippi County, Mo. He was a lifelong member of River Oaks United Methodist Church. He served in World War II and received the Purple Heart while in action in Okinawa. He served as Fort Worth Regional Sales Manager for Kraft Foods Co. from 1947 to retirement in 1973.
