Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Greenoaks Mausoleum Chapel of Baton Rouge. Burial: Greenoaks Mausoleum. Visitation: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at White's Funeral Home in Azle with family present from 4 to 6 p.m.
Gene Friedman was born Sept. 17, 1934, in Baton Rouge. He was preceded in death by his father, Isidore H. Friedman Sr., in 1970.
He was a resident of Euless since 1986 and most recently of Azle. He was an accountant for the Louisiana state government in Baton Rouge and was a member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors: Son, Paul Frederick Friedman of Azle; mother, Bessie Friedman of Athens Ala; brother, Isidore H. Friedman Jr. of Toney, Ala.; sister, Elizabeth Shay of Azle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James Goree was born March 17, 1934, in Weatherford.

Dwight Edward Lambert
ARLINGTON -- Dwight Edward Lambert, 77, a retired ground equipment engineer, died Wednesday, June 11, 1997, in Arlington.

Dwight Edward Lambert was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Johnstown, Pa.
He grew up in Johnstown and Greensburg, Pa. He moved to Miami, Fla., in 1950 and worked for Eastern Air Lines from 1950 throught 1985. He retired and became a consultant to Continental Air Lines in Gainesville, Ga., in 1987. He moved to Arlington in 1988 and worked part time at Arlington Hardware in 1989. He was a volunteer for the Arlington Memorial Hospital Auxiliary from 1994-96.
Survivors: Wife, Evelyn Lambert of Arlington; children, Frances Berkheimer of North Lauderdale, Fla., and Joy Ellen Lambert of Phoenix, Ariz.; brother, Donald Elwood Lambert of Melbourne, Fla.; and nephews, Dwight Lambert and Donald Lambert.

IRVING -- William Wallace Murdoch III, 65, died Thursday, June 12, 1997, at his residence.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Father Gus Melito will officiate.
William Wallace Murdoch III was born June 4, 1932, in the Bronx, N.Y. He was employed more than 30 years by Bell Helicopter, where he was a chief engineer in tool cutting. He was a decorated Army veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Murdoch was preceded in death by his father, William W. Murdoch Jr., and a sister, Joan.

Robert Valentine Noel Sr. was born April 22, 1916, in Danville, Ky.
He was a charter member of Trinity Presbyterian Church of Mansfield. He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a lieutenant in the Navy. He was a member of Walnut Creek Country Club, an avid tennis player and a member of the Mansfield Kiwanis Club. He was a graduate of Murray State University in Murray, Ky. He taught school in Tennessee before going to work for General Motors, where he worked for 38 years before retiring in April of 1976.
He married Virginia Catherine Reed, Nov. 27, 1952, in Fort Worth.
Survivors: Wife, Virginia Noel of Mansfield; son, Robert Valentine Noel Jr. and his wife, Cindy, of Denver, Colo.; brothers, John D. Noel of Boca Raton, Fla., and William C. Noel of Coral Springs, Fla.; one grandson, Zachary Noel of Denver, Colo.; brother-in-law, Bobby L. Reed and his wife, Betty, of Fort Worth; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Karen Ferguson Romer was born May 23, 1918, in Granger.
She was the valedictorian of the graduating class of 1936 from Sinton High School. She was an executive secretary from 1960-1983 with Almar-York Air Conditioning and a sales service supervisor at Jefferson Standard Life Insurance Co. She was an executive secretary from 1939-1945 at Plymouth Oil Co. in Sinton and a legal secretary from 1945-1949 at an Austin law firm.
Survivors: Son, Dr. John Romer and his wife, Stefani, of Rockport; daughters, Kris Potts and her husband, Jeff, of Fort Worth.; and grandchildren, Sean, Cameron and Alyson.
