AUSTIN -- Clara Belle Braswell, 80, a homemaker, died Thursday, May 15, 1997, in Austin.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday at Blessing Funeral Home in Mansfield. Burial: Rendon Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Clara Belle Braswell was born Oct. 4, 1916, in Hamlin and she was touched by an angel on May 15, 1997. She died after a lengthy illness.
She graduated from Emporia High School in Emporia, Kan. She was a resident at Regency Village Care Center where she was voted Miss Valentine because of her love and kindness to others. Special thanks to the Regency Staff for their care and concern. She will be remembered by all who knew her as a shining example of love, generosity and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Audie May Renchler, daughter, Belva Karen Rippetoe of Bangs, and her husband, Rudy A. "Red" Braswell of Fort Worth.
Survivors: Sons, Randy Braswell of Austin; daughters, Nona Gayl Carnes and her husband, Bennie, of Bangs; brothers, Fred Renchler of Topeka, Kan., and Bob Renchler of Breckenridge; sister, Alma Hurst of Gresham, Ore.; grandchildren, Carmen and B.J. Lola Jane Chester was born May 7, 1936, in Sunbury, Pa., then raised her family in New Jersey. She later moved to Fort Worth to be with her family. She was a member of St. Peter's Orthodox Church. She was also very active and supportive of the arts and letters. She was a member of the International Association of Business Communicators. She enjoyed several careers, including art gallery owner and newspaper work. She was very active in the church and leaves behind an extended group of family and friends across the country.

Garnett Fred Davis was born Aug. 4, 1927, in Chilhowie, Va.
He lived in Lynchburg until coming to Texas in 1945 to attend Bible Baptist Seminary.
He graduated from the School of Music, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Mr. Davis' career experience included sales for Armstrong Packing Co. and executive vice president for National Photographers Album Co. of Fort Worth.
He began his own billing/collection service in 1978 and was still active in the business.
Mr. Davis was a Baptist and served in many capacities of music, church organization and Bible teaching throughout the years.
Survivors: Wife of 49 years, Margaret Davis of Arlington; daughter, Dixie and her husband, Richard Berman, of Potomac, Md.; sister-in-law, Lila and her husband, Max Carlton, of Arlington; three grandsons, Tripp Huey of Dallas, Russ Huey of Arlington and Seth Berman of Potomac, Md.; niece, Sandra Manley of Arlington; nephew, David L. Walter E. Eckert was born March 14, 1910, in Mason County. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW. He was also a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Oddfellows and the National Association of Federal Retirees. Mr. Eckert was a former resident of Granbury before moving to Benbrook in 1992.
