Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Maxie Swanner was born Nov. 7, 1899, in Bedias, Texas. She was a member of Eastern Star Southside No. 673.

Elizabeth Dickerson Tout
FORT WORTH -- Elizabeth Dickerson Tout, 76, a homemaker, died Sunday, May 11, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rev. Joseph Pemberton will officiate.

Pallbearers: Jess Roy McMurtray, Michael McMurtray, Roy McMurtray, Walter McMurtray, Joshua Osborn, Bradley Tout, Glenn Tout, Jason Tout and Chris Vickery.

Elizabeth Tout was born Jan. 11, 1921, in Fort Worth.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Fort Worth. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a granddaughter of Collin McKinney, who signed the Texas Declaration of Independence and for whom Collin County and McKinney were named.

She was a graduate of Our Lady of Victory and the first lady timekeeper at Convair. She had over 15,000 hours awarded for volunteering at Osteopathic Medical Center. She was a member of the National Council of Catholic Women and the screening director of Job Corps.

Survivors: Sons, Charles L. Tout and his wife, Linda, Michael A. Tout and his wife, Jennye, and Timothy J. Tout; daughters, Elizabeth Teal, Jeanie McMurtray and her husband, Charlie, Teri Jones and her husband, Ray, and Mary Osborn and her husband, Kelly; brothers, Arthur Dickerson, Leo Dickerson and Clyde Dickerson; sister, Leona Monski; 18 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; three great-great- grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Cecil J. Turner
ARLINGTON -- Cecil J. Turner, M.D., 69, an anesthesiologist, died Monday, May 12, 1997, in Arlington.

Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home. Entombment: Moore Memorial Gardens Mausolem.

Memorials: Winning Walk Ministry, 6400 Woodway, Houston, Texas 77057, or a charity of choice.

Pallbearers: Lowell Emmett, Hines Rogers, O.A. Bankston, Dave Wilson, William Harrell and Rick Turner. Honorary pallbearers: Scott Turner, Mark Turner, Mark Hilton, Rick Roberts and Don Granvold. Cecil J. Turner was born June 10, 1927, in Baton Rouge, La.

He was a member of Fielder Road Baptist Church and a former member and deacon of Second Baptist Church of Houston. He was a graduate of Louisiana State University (class of `49) and graduated from LSU Medical School in New Orleans in 1953. He served in the U.S. Naval Medical Corp during World War II.

Dr. Turner was in a family practice in Mansfield, La., from 1954 to 1966. In 1966, he moved to Houston and began a residency in anesthesiology with Baylor School of Medicine. He was with Houston Anesthesiology Group from 1968 until his retirement in 1987, where he was chief of anesthesia for St. Lukes and Texas Children's Hospital for 15 years. He was a member of the Southern Medical Society, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society, member and past president of the Texas Society of Anesthesiology.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his large family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Cecil Turner and Sadie VanOsdell Turner, and a brother, Leonard Turner, all of Baton Rouge, La.

Survivors: Wife of 48 years, Cathleen Bankston Turner of Arlington; son, Dr. C. Fred Turner and his wife, Sue, of Arlington; daughter, Charlotte Turner of Webster, Texas; brother, Roy W. Turner, M.D., and his wife, Ann, of Bedford; grandchildren, Heather Buswell of Webster, Rick and Kayla Turner of Arlington; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Simon Alderete was born July 3, 1924, in Houston.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors: Wife, Elda Alderete of Arlington, married on April 15, 1950, in Alice, Texas; daughters, Enedina Salinas of Arlington, Linda Tovar of Grand Prairie and Lucinda Hernandez of Arlington; brothers, Lupe Hernandez of Elgin, Ramon Margain of Austin and Raul Margain of Grand Prairie; and grandchildren, Christian Salinas, Gabriel Alderete, Michael Hernandez, Angelica Greer, Laura Hernandez and Vanessa DeLeon, all of Arlington, and Christopher Lopez of Grand Prairie.

Raymond Barnes was born Oct. 11, 1906, in Oklahoma.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, in December 1993.

Survivors: Daughter, Jean Bates of Crowley; grandson and his wife, Raymond and Cindy Boullt of Crowley; great-granddaughters, Courtney Boullt and Casey Boullt, both of Crowley; six nephews; two nieces; and numerous friends.

Dorothy F. Belew was born Jan. 17, 1928, in Dallas.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Thomas N. Belew, in 1985.

Mrs. Belew unselfishly dedicated her life to her husband, daughters and grandchidlren.

The warmth that illuminated from her home was a reflection of her spirit.

Forever she will remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.
