Thomas Walter Miller was born March 5, 1911, in DeRoche, Ark.
He was a member of Gospel Tabernacle and a past member of the sheriff's posse.

BENBROOK -- Ruth E. Norwood, 77, a retiree of Penland Distributors, died Monday, May 12, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial service: 4 p.m. Thursday at Christ the King Episcopal Church, 3290 Lackland Rd. Father Dee Bright and Father Gayland Pool will officiate, with a reception following at the church.
Memorials: in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tarrant County Cancer Society or Christ the King Episcopal Church.
Ruth E. Norwood was born Nov. 11, 1919, in New York, N.Y., and had been a Fort Worth resident since 1951.
She was an avid bridge player and belonged to the following bridge groups: Finesse at the Womans Club of Fort Worth, Lake Worth Senior Citizens Center and the Friday Bridge Group.
She was also a member of the Rejebian Book Club, Sorosis Study Group and Christ the King Episcopal Church for the past 45 years. Mrs. Norwood was active and supported various little theater groups.
Survivors: Husband of 56 years, Robert E. Norwood; daughters, Barbara A. Baxter and Pam Coburn; son, Robert E. Norwood Jr. and their spouses; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and sister, Doris Kent of Phoenix. Ariz.

She was a dietitian and retired in 1983. She attended Texas State College for Women in Denton, East Central State College and graduated from Oklahoma A&M. She was a member of the Murray County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She was also an active church member and Sunday school teacher, She was employed by the Fort Worth Osteopathic Hospital, where she retired. She was also formerly employed in civil service with the Federal government in L.A., Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry Jennings and Cecil Douthitt.
Survivors: Husband, Woodrow Amos Pomykal of Port O'Connor; sons, Dr. Ray C. Pomykal of Clear Lake and Forrest A. Pomykal of Port O'Connor.; sister, Bernice J. Williamsen of Alexandria, Va.; brother, John Jefferson Jennings II of Norman, Okla.; and two grandsons.

Charles Ryan was born Dec. 4, 1916, in West Union, Ohio. He was very active with his family. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the European Theater, 216th Armored Engineer Battalion. He was employed by General Dynamics ockheed for 45 years as a supervisor in logistics.
