GRAND PRAIRIE -- Kenneth W. Dickey, 76, a retired machinist with LTV, died Sunday, May 11, 1997, in Grand Prairie.

Kenneth Dickey was born March 26, 1921. He was a member of First Christian Church and V.F.W. Post No. 6111. He served in the Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Shawn Dickey, in 1993.

Waynell Everett was born April 8, 1937, in Stephenville. She attended Tarleton State University, Abilene Christian University and Texas Christian University. She taught many years with the Kindercare Kindergarden Program at Graham Street Church of Christ. She was a faithful member of the Graham Street Church of Christ. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to "all" her children. She married Charlie Everett on May 30, 1959, in Stephenville.

EULESS -- Emidio Joseph Lima, 88, retired chief mechanic for American Airlines from 1937 through 1950 and a maintenance engineer for Central/Frontier Airlines from 1959 through 1973, died Sunday, May 11, 1997, at a Bedford hospital.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Merle Elizabeth East Lima.

Michael Looper was born March 4, 1962, in Fort Worth. Mike was a 1980 graduate of Arlington Heights High School. He had many talents and skills. He especially enjoyed working on cars and repairing anything that needed to be fixed. These were skills he shared with friends and family. Mike spent his life serving others. His generous and giving spirit touched many lives and he will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.

Joe W. Lydick
FORT WORTH -- Joe W. Lydick, 79, retired president and chairman of Lydick Roofing Co., Butcher & Sweeney Construction Co., and a local civic leader, died Sunday, May 11, 1997, in Fort Worth.

Joe Willis Lydick was born March 16, 1918, to Ned and Maud Lydick in Fort Worth. Following his father's and grandfather's footsteps, he began working summers on a roofing crew at age 14. Continuing summer work in roofing, he attended Washington and Lee University, Rice University and the University of Texas. He returned to Fort Worth in 1938 to marry Tallie Teas and assume full time work responsibilities as foreman for Lydick Roofing.
He served as an Air Force lieutenant during World War II, instructing bomber pilots, and returned to become president of Lydick Roofing in 1946. During that time, Lydick Roofing operated numerous offices in north central and west Texas. Construction of Casa Manana Geodesic Dome enabled Lydick Roofing to extend its operations overseas to the USSR and Argentina. In 1965, Joe Lydick married Maurine Cartwright and became president of Butcher & Sweeney Construction Co. Under his direction, Butcher & Sweeney was responsible for such local projects as the Criminal Courts and the new Mrs. Baird's Bakery, to name a few. He retired from the construction business in 1996.
Throughout his business career he has been active in countless charities and organizations, serving as president of The Exchange Club, a director of Texas Commerce Bank, chairman of the Carter Blood Center, president of River Crest Country Club and president of the Associated General Contractors. He also served as president of Cook Children's Hospital and as chairman of the Cook-Fort Worth Children's Medical Center building committee. Joe Lydick was largely responsible for the existence of the current Children's Medical Center.
Survivors: Wife, Maurine Lydick; daughter, Talia Lydick; grandson, Jordan Johnson; granddaughter, Teal Johnson; and sisters, Betty Deen and Mary Smith.
