Willie Maxfield was born Sept. 20, 1931, in Lexington. He retired from Ranch Style Beans in 1995 after 40 years with the company.

Clytie V. Miles was born Sept. 15, 1912, in Glen Rose. She was a member of Bethel Temple Assembly of God Church, the Silver Thimble Club and the Hobby Club. She had a host of friends and her grandchildren belovedly called her Gran. She was preceded in death by her huband, Harold S. Miles.

Claire Nies was born Aug. 3, 1917, in Fort Worth. She was a beautiful, strong independent woman. She had a mind of her own and a way of always making you laugh. Her strong will and indomitable spirit will be sadly missed.
She was preceded in death by son, Charles Earl Scarle and grandson, Shane Scarle.

Bennie Legett Tinsley was born April 17, 1903, in Portales, N.M. She was a member of University Christian Church, Glen Garden Country Club and North Fort Worth Woman's Club. She was an avid golfer.
She was the widow of Arthur B. Tinsley Sr.

John Milton Tippett
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- John Milton Tippett, 88, a retired, sheep/cattle rancher and farmer, died Tuesday, May 6, 1997, in Anchorage, Alaska.
Memorial service: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel of the Chimes, Laurel Land Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Burial: Ashes to be interred in Laurel Land Memorial Park. Rev. Mike Young will officiate the service.
John Tippett was born Jan. 9, 1909, in Abilene. He attended Texas A&M University. During World War II he served as an officer in the Army Air Corps in the Philippines.
He moved to Anchorage in November of 1994. He was self-employed as a sheep/cattle rancher and farmer until he retired in 1973. He was a member of Westcliff Methodist Church in Fort Worth, and a member of Grace Brethren Church in Anchorage. His hobbies included fishing, gardening and enjoying Alaska's wildlife.
His family said, "J.M. was a strong, quiet man with simple tastes in life who greatly missed his wife Grace to whom he was married 50 years. He will be missed by friends and family in both Texas and Alaska."
He was preceded in death by wife, Grace, in 1993.
Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Susan Tippett; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Bob Comolli; grandsons, John and Steven Tippett; granddaughters, Jane Tippett, Anne Commoli and Amy Commoli; and sister, Rebecca Hemphill.

Roylyn Kay Tyra was born Nov. 3, 1943, in Altus, Okla., to Roy and Bessie Lucas. She was married to Guy J. Tyra, Aug. 4, 1961, and had two children, Timmy and Tammy. She was a graduate of Eastern New Mexico University and was a Certified Public Accountant. Roylyn was active in the life insurance accounting industry and was past president of Insurance Accounting Systems Association (IASA). She was a member of the Edgepark Methodist Church and an avid golfing member of Woodhaven Country Club's Women's Golf Association.
Survivors: Husband of 35 years, Guy Tyra; her daughter, Tammy and son-in- law, Tim Haggard; her son, Timmy and his wife Jennifer Tyra; three grandchildren, Cody, 7, Ethan, 5, and Rachel Tyra, 1; her parents, Roy and Bessie Lucas of Altus; one brother, Jerry and his wife, Eva Letha Lucas of Elmer, Okla.; several nieces and nephews; and her two best friends, Laura McCook and Cynthia Davis.
