Mrs. Felio Tsumpis was born Sept. 29, 1905, in Turkey and came to Fort Worth when she was 19 years old. She was the last immigrant from the first generation that came to Fort Worth. She was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church for 72 years and was a member of the Philoptohos Greek Ladies Society.

Elsie B. Ayers Wiss was born July 31, 1917, in Albany, Okla.
Elsie B. Ayres Wiss passed from this earth to be with her angels on May 8, 1997. She joined her parents, John and Nola Brewer of Durant, Okla.; her husband, Larry Wiss; and two sons-in-law, John K. Adams and Bill Porter, husbands of her only daughter. She was a former resident of Fort Worth until moving to Tulsa two years ago. Elsie was extremely talented on the piano and taught young children the joy of music in Oklahoma, New Mexico, and Texas. She will forever be remembered as one who brought a song to all our hearts. Burgundy Place of Tulsa will miss her and so will all who knew her.

Fred L. Beckman
FORT WORTH -- Fred L. Beckman, an optometrist, died Sunday, May 11, 1997, at home.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Entombment: Greenwood Mausoleum.
Mr. Beckman was born in Kitzmiller, Md.
He had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1950. He served in the Meadowbrook area for 42 years as an optometrist.
He was a highly decorated veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He was awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 925 in Poly, AOA and TOA Optometric Associations. He was a member of the Retired Officers Association and a longtime member of the Eastside Lion's Club.
He was preceded in death by his brother Bob, in 1995.
Survivors: Wife, Betty J. Beckman; daughters, Mona Lee Beckman Royder and her husband, Dr. Clayton R. Royder of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Ralph Beckman of Cincinnati, Ohio, Claude Beckman of Oakland, Md., Walter Beckman of Camarillo, Calif; sister, Alva Jane Cole of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren, Alexandra Royder, Katarina Royder; and nephews and their wives, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Beckman and Mr. and Mrs. Randy Beckman.
