Robert W. Richmond
ARLINGTON -- Robert W. Richmond, 73, a retired United Methodist minister, died Monday, May 5, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital after a short illness.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at First United Methodist Church of Waxahachie. Burial: Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home and 10 to 10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
The Rev. Robert W. Richmond was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Steubenville, Ohio, and was the son of Mary and Wilbert Richmond of Breckenridge and Olney, Texas, who preceded him in death. Mr. Richmond graduated from Breckenridge High School, North Texas State University and Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Ky. While in seminary, he met and married his wife, Eunice Taylor Richmond of Fort Wayne, Ind.
The Rev. Richmond was a retired United Methodist minister, having served 36 years in the Central Texas Conference. He was pastor of First United Methodist Church in Waxahachie from 1972 to 1980. He had also served churches in Graham, Fort Worth, Gatesville and Brownwood.
During World War II, Mr. Richmond fought in the 99th Infantry Division in the European theater of operation. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge and the early crossing of the Rhine River at the Remagen Bridge before the bridge collapsed. He also fought in other battle campaigns that led to the defeat of Hitler's Germany in 1945. Among the numerous medals he received were the Combat Infantry Badge and the Bronze Star.
Survivors: His wife, Eunice of Arlington; son, Perry of Plano; two daughters, Debra of Waxahachie and Vicki of Austin; six grandchildren; sister, Ruth Bowen of Fort Worth; and brother, Donald Richmond of Dallas.

David Rowland was born Jan. 9, 1935, in Fort Worth.
He was a graduate of Polytechnic High School and an Army veteran.

Mark Edward Tinius was born July 18, 1956, in Pratt, Kan. He was a 1974 graduate of Arlington Heights High School. He graduated from Abilene Christian University and received his master's degree in 1996 from Texas Woman's University. He was a member of West Freeway Church of Christ and a deacon and was also a member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.
A devoted lifelong Christian, he was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He loved his God, his family and friends and the church.
