MARGARET TILTON WILLIAMS
Margaret Tilton Williams, 72, of Old River, passed away, Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at a local hospital after a courageous battle with cancer.
Margaret was born on August 10, 1930 in Old River. She lived in Old River all her life, she was a homemaker and she owned and operated the D & L Grocery Store in Old River and later retired from Shelby Gas and was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, J.B. Williams and a granddaughter, Melanie Shay Barrow.
She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, Elaine and Robert Robinson of Baytown Bonita Triplett of Round Rock; Karen Williams of Atascocita; brother and sister-in-law, D.A. and Donella Tilton of Old River; long time companion, Herschel Badgett of Old River; grandchildren, Lori and Tommy Welch, Brian and Mandi Cross, Amy Solis, Drew Cross and Megan Williams, great-grandchildren, Taylor and Maddie Welch, special friends, Donnie and Dorothy Badgett, Larry and Barbie Barrow, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. today, September 18, 2002 at Navarre Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 19, 2002 at Navarre Chapel.
Interment will be at The Palms Cemetery in Dayton.
Pallbearers will be Robert Robinson, Tommy Welch, Larry Barrow, Vernon Cross, Brian Cross and Drew Cross.

MIKI PATRICIA BARTON
Miki Patricia Barton, 27, of Crosby, passed away, Thursday, September 12, 2002.
She was a former resident of Baytown for 4 1/2 years, a loving wife, mother, daughter and best friend and will be missed by everyone.
In lieu of flowers a Children’s Trust Fund has been established at Bank One, in Baytown.
She was preceded in death by two grandfathers.
She is survived by her husband, David Barton of Crosby; son, Kyle David Myers of Crosby; daughters, Kassandra Dawn Daly and Kyra Danielle Daley of Crosby; parents, Kenneth and Dawn Daly of Baytown; parents-in-law, Jim and Lois Barton of Crosby; brothers, Michael Daley and wife Yvonne of Germany and Matthew Daly and wife Machelle of Baytown; grandmother, Marlene Shoup of Quincy, Ill. and grandmother Mariam Roberts of Elsberry, Missouri.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m.. today, September 17, 2002 at Earthman Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at Earthman Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Weatherly officiating.

JUAN ALBERTO BARAHONA
Juan Alberto Barahona, 55, of Highlands went to rest, waiting for his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Sunday, September 15, 2002.
He was born June 24, 1947 in San Vicente, El Salvador, to Juan and Petrona Barahona. Juan worked for Southwest Shipyard for the past 14 years as a foreman in the barge-cleaning department. He was well respected and looked up to by his fellow employee’s. Juan was a member of the Baytown Spanish 7th Day Adventist Church, and a past Elder of the Church. Juan enjoyed horticulture growing small fruit trees, different plants and spending time in the outdoors. His biggest joy came from spending time with his family.
Juan is preceded in death by his father, Juan Zenon Barahona and one sister, Adela Stringer.
Juan is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Manuela Barahona of Highlands; children, Juan Barahona, Jr., Marvin Barahona, Patricia Barahona, Eulises Barahona all of Highlands; mother, Petrona Bonilla Barahona, one sister, Orbelina Mejia and husband Jorge of Highlands, many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be from 5 - 9 p.m. today, September 17, 2002 at Sterling White Chapel.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at Sterling White Chapel in Highlands with Rev. Fidel Merchan officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery.

MICAH DEAN JOHNSON
Micah Dean Johnson, 40, of Highlands went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 14, 2002.
He was born April 22, 1962 in Baytown to Jim and Billie Johnson. Micah worked for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 14 years and was a process technician. Micah enjoyed drag racing and going to Nascar races, golfing, collecting racing hats, shirts and jackets with autographs, he enjoyed his work and the fellowship he felt with his co-workers. His biggest joy came from spending time with his wife, family and his three Boston Terrier, John, Julia and Missy.
Micah is survived by his loving wife of five years, Colinda Johnson of Highlands; two children, Megan Johnson of Baytown; Eric Johnson of St. Louis, Mo.; parents, Jim and Billie Johnson of Highlands; sister, Vicki Mullins and husband Ray of Highlands; two brothers, Jimmy Ray Johnson and wife Darlene of Highlands; Leslie Johnson and wife Rhonda of Highlands; mother-in-law, Sue Hedges and husband Bob of Seiling, Okla.; brother-in-law, Kevin Davis of Weinert, Tx., many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

MANUEL G. RODRIQUEZ
Manuel G. Rodriguez was surrounded by his loving family when he departed this life, on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at his home in Baytown. He was born in Los Fresnos, Texas on March 26, 1936 to Alfonso and Estela Rodriguez. He married his sweetheart Jesusa “Susie” Garcia in 1962. They moved to Baytown in 1966 shortly after the birth of their daughter Eva. He was a pipe fitter for Tenneco and a reserve peace officer for the city of Lomax, Texas and the Harris County Sheriff Department. More recently he worked for the Akzo Plant in Deer Park. His passion were hunting and fishing with his family and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and his daughter Eva. His surviving family members include his wife of 40 years Susie G. Rodriguez of Baytown; daughters, Elena Gonzalez & husband Arturo of Los Fresno, Estela Martin & husband William of Dayton; sons, Manuel Rodriguez, Jr. and David Rodriguez of Baytown; mother, Estela Rodriguez of Los Fresnos; brother, Raul Rodriguez & wife Erlinda of Baytown; sisters, Ninfa Cardenas of Los Fresnos and Maria Segura & husband Juan of Los Fresnos and Lydia Arabelo of Carrollton, Texas; sister-in-law Benita Rodriguez; and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral service will be Tuesday September 17, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of L.A. Crespo Funeral Directors, Rev. Armando Rodriguez. Interment will follow at Hill of Rest Cemetery, Baytown.
Visitation will begin Monday at 4:00 p.m. at L.A.Crespo Funeral Directors.

EDWARD S. CATHRINER JR.
Edward S. Cathriner, Jr. went to be with the Lord on February 06, 2003 at the age of 74 in San Jacinto Methodist Hospital after suffering from a heart attack in his home on Saturday, January 18, 2003. In the later years of his life he endured a courageous battle with Alzheimer, Lewy Bodies and Parkinson diseases.
Edward was born on March 28, 1928 in the home of his parents at 503 W Pearce and lived in Baytown for his entire life. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1946 and attended Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas but graduated from Lee College in Baytown, Texas. Edward retired from Exxon Chemicals as a lab technician after working thirty-eight and one half years.
After retirement Edward enjoyed gardening in his back yard, playing softball with the Baytown senior citizen league, participating in the Senior Olympics, fishing, traveling as well as playing 42 with his closest friends and family.
Edward was a member of the Church of Christ located at the corner of Pruett and Lobit and the Exxon Annuitants. In his early years Edward was a member of the Baytown Civil Air Patrol and served as President of the Graywood subdivision homeowners association and was a reserve Deputy Constable for Precinct 3-2.
His father Edward Stephen Cathriner and his mother Mattie Ophelia Cathriner and his former wife Angie Lee Cathriner have preceded him in death.
His caring and loving wife of 36 years Melva Arlene Cathriner and their five children survive him with 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; Delane Maddux and husband Terry Lynn Maddux of Porter, TX and their five children; Kimberlyn Delane Loving and husband Cheston Burl Loving and their daughter Kailee Grace Loving of Porter, Texas

Zavodny of Baytown, Texas survive him as well as his mother-in-law Cleo McCarty of Baytown, Texas and two sisterñin-laws Charlene Bittick and husband Bruce Bittick of Ryan, Oklahoma and Edna Lou Green of Baytown, Texas as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation is set for Friday evening February 7 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and services will be on Saturday February 8 at 2:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Edward Cathriner III, Stephen Cathriner, James Cathriner, Rocky Roquemore, Don Baker and Jere Showalter. Services will be officiated by Ministers Jesse Flowers and Larry Hafley and are under the direction of Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas 281-422-8111.
