FORT WORTH -- Marcus Clayton Richardson, 84, a retired Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company district manager, died Wednesday, April 30, 1997, at a Fort Worth hospital.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Friday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth.
Marcus Richardson was born Oct. 29, 1912, in Magnolia, Ark.
He graduated from Pine Bluff High School in Pine Bluff, Ark., in June 1930 and moved to Fort Worth in 1937. He retired from Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company where he served as manager and district manager.
He was a member of Hemphill Heights Masonic Lodge for 51 years and was a Master Mason.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel Clara Richardson, and his twin brother, Clarence E. Richardson.
He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Survivors: Son, Bob Richardson of Benbrook; daughters, Jo Ann Beatty of Fort Worth and Judy Lynn Griffin of Granbury; five grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Clyde Webb was born July 1, 1917, in Krum. He was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church. He served as a deacon at Friendship and Henderson Street Baptist churches. He retired after 33 years with the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed delivering Meals On Wheels and livestock farming. He was a veteran of World War II and received the Purple Heart while serving in France.

Mary Ellen Daugherty Wilson was born Sept. 17, 1902, in Yoakum. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was a longtime member of University Christian Church, where she enjoyed sewing with The Needlers and making things for the church bazaars. When she lived in St. Louis for 14 years with her daughter and son-in-law, she was active with the Goodwill Auxiliary and sewing projects for the Ladue Chapel bazaars in Ladue.

Hans J. "John" Adam was born May 30, 1939, in Saarbruecken, Germany. John emigrated to the United States with his family in October 1951. He became a naturalized citizen in 1955.
John attended Texas A&M University. He served in the Army and Air Force and was a Vietnam War veteran. After his military career, John was involved in the automotive industry. He served on the board of directors of Texas World Speedway in College Station and had a high-performance machine shop there. He was an avid drag racer, winning numerous titles from 1968-1972. He worked for Walker Mufflers for 14 years. He formed Matthew Adam Discount Distributing Inc. (MAD Distributing Inc.), an automotive parts wholesale warehouse, along with his partner, Darrell Matthew, in August 1987. After John became ill, he sold his interest to his partner.
John married Ghronda Tarpley on March 12, 1994, in Stith, Jones County. He was a member of Hillcrest Country Club and Sunset Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Hans Nikolaus Adam, and a son-in- law and grandson, J.R. and Willi Johnson.
