Reba Jackson

Reba Fae Morehead Jackson completed a lifetime of service to God, her family and her friends April 2 in San Antonio, Texas after a long illness.

She was born in Limestone County Sept. 12, 1926 to Floyd and Eunice Morehead and married Loyd E. Jackson in Mexia on Dec. 13, 1946. She was born again in 1947.

The couple lived in Pasadena and Deer Park, Texas most of their adult lives where she spent 35 years as a nurse for Dr. R.C. Davis, Jr. She was a member of Pasadena Memorial Baptist Church for 45 years and Pasadena South Main Baptist Church for five years and served in numerous positions, especially working with young adults and youth. Memorial honored her as Mother of the Year in 1987.

They moved to San Antonio seven years ago.

All services will be held at Grand View Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 8513 Spencer, in Pasadena with Rev. Loyd Jackson Jr. and Rev. Craig Bird officiating. Viewing will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday, April 5 and the funeral at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 6 with the graveside service immediately following.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years of San Antonio; daughter Melissa Bird and her husband, Craig, of San Antonio, and son Loyd E. Jackson Jr. and his wife, Candace, of Lee's Summit, Mo.; also four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Coby Bird and daughter Aza of Fort Worth; Brant Bird and his wife Keri, daughter Madelyn, and son Toby of Pleasanton, TX; Courtney Stolfus and her husband K.R. and son Kole of Lee's Summit, MO., and Amanda Jackson of Lee's Summit.

The family would like to thank VITAS Hospice Care for exceptional care.

Donations to the South Texas Alzheimer's Association, 7400 Louis Pasteur, Ste 200, San Antonio, Tx 78229 would be appreciated.

Tabatha Jane Dawson

Tabatha Jane Dawson, at the age of 25, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2009 in Cleveland Texas. She was born Saturday, April 23, 1983, in Houston, Texas, to Michael Allen Perdue and Evelyn Jane Manes, who survive her. Tabatha is also survived by her husband, Timothy Dawson, daughter, Evelyn Jane Dawson; son, Clinton Preston Dawson; brothers, Paul Allen Perdue, Joshua Perdue; sisters, Crystal Perdue, Amanda Parker; grandmothers, Gertha Perdue and Donna Manes; nieces and nephews, Tyler Parker, Logan Parker, Austin Perdue, Breanna Perdue; Godfather, Rickie Watson. Services for Tabatha were held at Neal Funeral Home, Friday, March 27, 2009 at 2:00 p.m.. Interment followed in Ryan Cemetery. Officiating Reverend Larry Jones. All services were handled under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.

Sanches, Sandra

Sharon Yevone Sanches, 43, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2009 in Houston, Texas.

Sharon was always a giver in life, as well as in her passing, Sharon chose to donate her organs so that others might have life. Sharon was an awesome person and she will be missed. Sharon was born Monday, September 27, 1965 in Rosenberg, Texas to the late Clyde Adams, Jr. and her mother JoAnn Randall Adams Shigley. She is preceded in death by her grandparents Clyde Adams, Sr. and Minnie Kay Adams; brothers Jerry Lynn Adams and Michael DeWayne Adams; nephew Charles Adams. Sharon is survived by her husband Donald Sanches; children Amber Marie Lucas and husband Matthew, Kelly Nichol Scroggins, Travis Glenn Scroggins, Donald Sanches, Jr. and wife Tyme, Kishia Sanches, Denise Sanches; brothers Clyde Adams III, Randy and Danny Adams; sisters Vickie Lilley-Whittaker, Nancy Kay Mayton, Tina Verdell Monteaux; grandchildren Karmen and Ethan Lucas, Devin and Kiley Sanches, Tatum Sanches, Jasmine Peralez; numerous other family and friends. Visitation for Sharon was held Friday March 27, 2009 at Neal Funeral Home. Services for Sharon were held Saturday March 28, 2009 at 10:00 AM at Neal Funeral Home Chapel, Reverend Robert Brown officiating. Interment followed at Darby Holhosea Cemetery, Moscow, Texas. All services were under the trusted care of Neal Funeral Home.

Steve Wheeler

Beloved Husband, Father, Son and Brother has passed on to the arms of even a greater Father, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Born in Louisiana and raised in Cleveland, Texas known to everyone that loved him as a very sharing and caring person. Through his life he always set his first priority to care for the needs of others and his family. "Steve" or "Chief" or "Dad" it made no difference what you called him he was always there. With his grin and an arm around you or a handshake he loved everyone.

In the early 70's he joined the Cleveland Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter and continued to dedicate his time and service till this date. Rising from Volunteer Firefighter to Chief of the Cleveland Fire Dept. Steve also served as Director of Emergency Management representing Liberty County for the Cleveland area. In his many years of service Steve served the community of Cleveland in many different areas of responsibilities. These many roles included Fire Chief, EMS Director, Fire Marshall, Arson Investigator, Director of Emergency Services and any other job the Mayor or City Manager needed filled that week. Steve had a great love for the Cleveland Community and Liberty County and shown this through his many acts of courage and commitment he gave. Especially during the devastation of Hurricane Rita and Katrina he spent countless hours without sleep seeing that everyone had shelter and food to eat. It is hard to express the sadness that we all feel at this time with his lost.

Steve is survived by his wife of 26 years Angie and three loving daughters, Tiffany, Camille and Nicole wife of Michael Dickerson and their son Brett of Tarkington Prairie; Parents: Ed and Bernice Wheeler of Cleveland, Father and Mother-in-Law: Dewey Thomas Peluso And Evelyn Mary Peluso; Sisters, Mary and husband Glen Morris of Crosby, Texas, Dorothy and husband Don Thomas of Houston; Brothers: Thom Wheeler of Taos, New Mexico, Jack Wheeler Sr. and wife Laryssa of Kingfisher Oklahoma, Robert Wheeler and Bunny of Houston, TX, Ron Wheeler and wife Jeanne of Flower Mound, TX; Nieces and Nephews, Monty Wheeler, Jack Wheeler Jr., Kris Wheeler, Donald Thomas, Scott Morris, Lori Sennebogen, Danielle Hurnt, Janet Morris, Aaren Wheeler, Bailey Wheeler.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2009, 11:00 a.m., Cornerstone Church, 27453 Hwy. 105 W, Cleveland, Texas with interment at Pace-Stancil Memorial Rest Gardens, Cleveland, Texas.

In lieu of Flowers the Family asks that donations be made to Cleveland Fire-Rescue In care of the Cleveland Fire Department.

Ella Inez Yates Snider, 71, passed away March 28, 2009. She is preceded in death by her son Buddy Miller. Inez is survived by her loved one, Richard Osteen.

James Crumpler

JAMES MICHAEL CRUMPLER WENT TO BE WITH GOD ON WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8, 2009. MIKE PASSED IN HIS SLEEP PEACEFULLY WITH HIS FAMILY AT HIS SIDE. UNFORTUNATELY, HE HAD MANY HEALTH ISSUES, HEART, KIDNEYS, JUST TO MENTION A FEW. MIKE WAS 63 YEARS OLD THIS PAST 2/15/2009. MIKE WILL BE buried AT THE VETERANS CEMETERY, AS HE WISHED. HE WAS A Navy TORPEDO MAN ON A SUBMARINE, A VERY SPECIALIZED FIELD THAT WAS UNIQUE ONLY TO A CERTAIN TYPE OF MILITARY SERVICEMAN. MIKE HAD BEEN WORKING IN COMMERCIAL FIRE ALARM ENGINEERING AND DESIGN FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND WAS OF LATE EMPLOYED BY TEKPLAN SOLUTION IN HOUSTON, TEXAS, A COMPANY HE HAD GROWN TO RESPECT AND LOVE. HE HAD FOUND A WORKPLACE THAT NEEDED HIM AND HE NEEDED THEM, THANK YOU TEKPLAN FOR HELPING WITH A DREAM COME TRUE IN HIS WORK. MIKE GRADUATED FROM PASADENA HIGH SCHOOL IN 1964. HE PARTICIPATED IN VARSITY SPORTS. HE TOLD ME THAT "BASEBALL WAS HIS BEST SPORT". MIKE HAS LEFT BEHIND AN EXTREMELY LOVING FAMILY. WIFE, JANET CRUMPLER OF PASADENA, 39 YEARS OF MARRIAGE. SON, RONALD CRUMPLER AND WIFE KATHY CRUMPLER AND THEIR SON SKYE.
