MARLIN — Services for Adolphus Quinion Hollins, 82, of San Antonio are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Elam Missionary Baptist Church in Hearne.
The Rev. O.W. Mack of New Elam Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Greater Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday at the Paul Funeral Home in Marlin and from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Saturday at the church.
Mr. Hollins died Friday in Methodist Hospital in San Antonio.
He was born in Hearne and was retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Technical Sergeant. He attended Blackshear High School, Prairie View A&M University and military college. He was a member of the United Supreme Council 33rd Degree, Sublime of the Royal Secret 32nd Degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church in San Antonio.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara F. Hollins.
Survivors include a son, B. Leon Hollins of San Antonio; two daughters and a son-in-law, Jacqueline and Edward Sommers III and Gale Y. Thomas, all of San Antonio; a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Doris Hollins of Houston; a sister, Dorothy Kelly of Hearne; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Nancy B. James
Sept. 23, 1898 — Dec. 22, 2001
NAVASOTA — Services for Nancy B. James, 103, of Stoneham are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Friendship Baptist Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Wilbert H. Sargent of High Point Baptist Church in Stoneham will officiate. Burial will be in High Point Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mrs. James died Saturday in Grimes St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born in Grimes County and was a retired teacher. She was a member of High Point Baptist Church and held a bachelor of science degree from Prairie View A&M University and a masters degree from Huston-Tillotson University. She was a member of the Christian Home Workers.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Annie Mae Brown, three nieces and a great-niece.
Elsie Johanson

Services for Elsie Johanson, 85, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.
The Rev. Neil Bockelmann of Bethel Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in College Station Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to the time of the services Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Johanson died Thursday in Bluebonnet House.
She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was a retired bookkeeper from the Mechanical Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Johanson.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and George McIlhaney of College Station and Cyndi and John Scruggs of Johnstown, Colo.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Roy Allen Johnson

Graveside services for Roy Allen Johnson, 57, of College Station are set for 11 a.m. Friday at the College Station City Cemetery.
The Rev. Chick Harring will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.
Mr. Johnson died Tuesday in the College Station Medical Center.
He was born in Merced, Calif., and lived in College Station for 20 years. He was employed in the oil industry.
Survivors include his wife, Otilia Johnson of College Station; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Donny and Amy Parker and Roy Johnson Jr., all of College Station, and Terry and Natalie Johnson of Bryan; a daughter, Pam Parker of College Station; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elton and Adrian Johnson of Odessa and Merlin and Loretta Johnson of Bay City, Texas; two sisters, Lois Johnson and Brenda Johnson; and three grandchildren.
Rose M. Restivo

Services for Rose M. Restivo, 98, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan.
The Rev. John Kelley of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Monsignor Gleissner Mausoleum at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
An Altar Society rosary will be recited at 4 p.m. Friday with an additional rosary at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Restivo died Wednesday in Sherwood Health Care in Bryan.
She was born in Palmetta, La., and lived in Bryan most of her life. She was a homemaker and was owner and operator of a grocery store with her husband from 1937 to 1971. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, where she was an honorary member of the Altar Society and the Holy Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dominic Restivo.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Paul Ponzio of Bryan and Lucille and Gene Beger of Houston; a brother, Tony Morrell of Vidor, Texas; two sisters, Laura Williamson of Houston and Roselee Zinante of Texas City; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Homer Hugh Ware Jr.

NAVASOTA — Graveside memorial services for Homer Hugh Ware Jr., 81, of Navasota are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
The Rev. Ross Poteet of the First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mr. Ware died Sunday at his home.
He was born in Brooklyn, Texas, and was a special agent for Southern Pacific Railroad. He served as a corporal in the U.S. Air Force and was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Nathan Ware.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret S. Ware of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Larry Cichon of Spring; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Norma Ware of Conroe; a sister, Margie Miller of Navasota; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jack and Bet Sommers of Washington; a granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mr. Woods died Sunday in Sherwood Health Care.
He was born in Yuma, Texas, and was a longtime resident of Bryan. He was retired.
Survivors include his wife, Daisy Mae Woods of Trinity; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Forrest Jr. and Marie Woods and Leland Woods, all of Fort Worth; a stepson, Ronald Edward Greeno of Trinity; two daughters and a son-in-law, Maxine Woods and Johnny Ray Johnson of Fort Worth and Joyce Woods Price of Los Angeles; a step-daughter, Joyce Mae Greeno of Trinity; a brother and sister-in-law, Lemon James and Bernice Woods of Bryan; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Savannah W. and Elder Jeremiah Smith Sr. of Bryan and Estella and Leroy White of Copperas Cove; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Bryan McPhail Clarke

Services for Bryan McPhail Clarke, 47, of College Station are set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in College Station.
The Rev. Ben Aurand of St. Thomas Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be in College Station Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.
Mr. Clarke died Thursday in the College Station Medical Center.
He was born in Corpus Christi and graduated from Tulosa-Midway High School in 1972. In 1978, he graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a degree in education. He was a member and past president of both the Kappa Sigma fraternity and the SWT Alumni Association and received the Key of Excellence Award as Distinguished SWT Alumnus in 1993. He was president of Bryan M. Clarke, Inc., an independent oil and gas company. He was a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen and St. Thomas Episcopal Church. He served as assistant coach for his sons’ soccer teams and was treasurer of the Brazos Magic soccer club.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Font Clarke of College Station; two sons, Brandon Clarke and Travis Clarke, both of College Station; his mother, Pauline Clarke of Corpus Christi; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Stephanie Clarke of Ingleside and Gary and Ann Clarke of Corpus Christi; his in-laws, Jules and Milady Font of College Station; a niece and a nephew.

Helen Lee Evans Dix

Services for Helen Lee Evans Dix, 91, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Craig Anderson of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mrs. Dix died Tuesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Brazos County and lived in Bryan for 27 years. She was retired after 47 years as a teacher. She held a bachelor’s degree from Samuel Huston in Austin and a masters degree from Prairie View A&M University. She was nominated by former students for Who’s Who Among American Teachers in 1976. She was a member of the Brazos County Retired School Personnel, the Texas Retired Teachers Association, the Huston-Tillotson College Alumni Association, the AJ Moore High School Alumni Association and Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Gregg Dix, and a daughter, Barbara Dix Martin.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Hiawatha Dix and James Godine of College Station; a sister, Earlena Evans Vance of Fort Washington, Md.; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
