MADISONVILLE — Services for Jessie Merle Risinger, 88, of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel.
The Rev. Dean Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be in the Bedias Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday with the family present at J.M. Day Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. Risinger died Tuesday in Madisonville.
She was born in Bedias.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, James Coyle and Willis Risinger.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Bessie and Leonard Dill of Arizona, Leona and Al Sanders of Madisonville and Patsy Risinger of Oyster Creek; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Diane Coyle of Bryan; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Norma Meschwitz

BRENHAM — Services for Norma Meschwitz, 77, of Brenham are set for 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Phillipsburg.
The Rev. Jennifer Grant will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mrs. Meschwitz died Tuesday in Houston.
She was born in Washington County and was a homemaker. She belonged to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Phillipsburg, Texas, where she was a member of the Altar Guild.
Survivors include her husband, Louis Meschwitz of Brenham; a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Glenn Dallmeyer of Brenham; two sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Meschwitz of Houston and Jerry and Kim Meschwitz of Sparta, N.J.; a daughter-in-law, Virginia Meschwitz of Brenham; seven sisters and four brothers-in-law, Elsie Tegeler, Hilda and Roy Lorenz, Alma Kenjura and Selma and Robert Wellmann, all of Brenham, Rose Lee and Clarence Lohmeyer and Edna Schroeder, all of Washington, and Ella Nora and Truman Flynt of Iola; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandsons.

Lois Ann Munnerlyn

HILLTOP LAKES — A private memorial service will be held for Lois Ann Munnerlyn, 75, of Hilltop Lakes.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mrs. Munnerlyn died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Amarillo. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray D. Munnerlyn.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Shuri Geeslin of Austin and Beth and Dave Oates of Dallas; a brother and sister-in-law, John Albert Jr. and Billie Jean Cavin of Houston; a sister and brother-in-law, Immy Cousland and John Phillip of Tulsa, Okla.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Roger C. Holcomb

BREMOND — Services for Roger C. Holcomb, 76, of Bremond are set for 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Bremond.
The Rev. Stan Ortner will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the Brigham Cemetery in Campbell.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bremond Funeral Home.
Mr. Holcomb died Monday at Conroe Regional Hospital.
He was born in Snyder, Texas. He was a businessowner and served in the U.S. Army in Korea during World War II. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Stinnett, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Holcomb.
Survivors include two sons, Roger L. Holcomb of Calvert and Jeffrey L. Holcomb of Conroe; a daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Dennis Greer of Conroe; three brothers, James A. Holcomb of Pampa, Texas, Billy John Holcomb of Norfolk, Va., and Kenneth L. Holcomb of Trinity, Texas; and three grandchildren.

NAVASOTA — Services for June Routt Greenleaf, 80, of Navasota are set for 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Lacy Largent will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mrs. Greenleaf died Wednesday at Grimes St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born in Navasota, moved to Houston and later returned to Navasota. She was a retired secretary with the Southern States Life Insurance Company, attended Houston Business College and was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Altar Guild, the Daughters of the King and Navasota Music Study Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morton Greenleaf.
Survivors include her sister, Mary Agnes Goodwin of Alvin.

Lula Grace Brisby Hunter

Services for Lula Grace Brisby Hunter, 89, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at G.W. William Tabernacle Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. M.D. Morgan of Greater Salem Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at People’s Mortuary, and a wake service will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hunter died Monday at Bryton Health Center in College Station.
She was born in Ennis, Texas, and was a member of Greater Salem Baptist Church and the president of the church choir. She was the president of Mission No. 1, secretary of her church and taught Sunday school.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter C. Hunter Sr.
Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, Peter L. Virginia L. Smith

A private graveside service will be held for Virginia L. Smith, 77, of College Station.
Mrs. Smith died Wednesday at College Station Medical Center.
She was born in San Antonio and lived in College Station for the past three years. She was a retired executive secretary with Whataburger’s main office in Corpus Christi.
Arrangements were under the direction of Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
Survivors include her husband, Merrell G. Smith of College Station; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William C. and Paula Lonquist Jr. of Houston and Jack C. and Margaret Lonquist of Clearwater, Fla.
Gloria Jean Thomas

NAVASOTA — Services for Gloria Jean Thomas, 61, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Melvin Travis will officiate. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Navasota.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and a wake service will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.
Ms. Thomas died Tuesday at West Houston Medical Center.
She was born in Navasota and was a nurse.
Survivors include a son, Alfred Williams of Vernon, Texas; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Cheryl Irving of Houston, Natalie and Jazell Lyles of Spring, Texas, and Chandra and Donnell Jones of Stafford; a brother, James L. Meredith of Los Angeles; a sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie Jewell and James Grisby; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Oliver Emmit Smith

Services for Oliver Emmit Smith, 80, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the Johnson-Phillip All Faiths Chapel at Prairie View A&M University. Burial will be in the Lincoln Memorial Cemetery in Dallas.
Wake service will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in College Station.
Arrangements are under the direction of Singleton & Sons Funeral Home in Hempstead.
Mr. Smith died Saturday.
He was born in Elysian Fields and taught for 28 years at Prairie View A&M University and 10 years at Texas A&M University. He retired from the Texas A&M System in 1986.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Oliver E. Jr. and D. Elizabeth Smith of Milford, Conn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathy Jo and Larry Watson of San Diego; a stepdaughter, Marydith Ann Lawson Tanksley of Dallas; a sister, Vivian Smith of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Oz Owens

Mr. Owens died Monday at College Station Medical Center.
He was a longtime resident of Gause and retired from Alcoa. He was a member of the Zion Missionary Baptist Church. Mr. Owens served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jettie Mae Owens.
Survivors include five sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Pamela Owens of Hearne, Willie Sr. and Susan Owens and Freddie and Lillie Owens, all of Bryan, Eddie and Josephine Owens of Cleveland, Ohio, and Larry and Faye Swain of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Bettye and Leroy Jackson of Cedar Hills, Texas; three brothers, A.J. Norwood of Louisiana, Oliver Norwood of Cedar Hills and Tony Norwood of Miami, Fla.; three sisters, Velma Belch Norwood of Maypearl, Texas, Annie B. Williams of Waco and Mildred Lee of Rockdale; 19 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
