Services for Clara Beth Wade, 92, of Bryan are set for 3 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church. Rev. David Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the Bryan City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home.
Mrs. Wade died Wednesday at her residence. Born in Limestone County, she attended Mary Hardin Baylor University and was the bookkeeper for Singer Sewing Machine in Bryan for many years prior to her retirement. She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church and had been the caretaker for the nursery for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwain Wade.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, William and Sara Wade of Bryan; her brother, Marvin Pete Mills of Groesbeck; her two sisters, Turzie Howell and Barbara Miller, both of Longview; eight grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mary Jones Pachall

Services for Mary Jones Pachall, 82, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church in San Diego, Texas. Rev. Benito will officiate. Burial will be in the San Diego Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Mauro Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Mauro Garcia Funeral Home in San Diego.
Mrs. Pachall died Wednesday in Bryan.
She was born in Dryer and lived in Normangee until 1998, when she moved to Bryan. She was a member of the St. Francis De Paula Catholic Church and of the Rosary Society.
Survivors include her husband, Helmuth Pachall of Bryan; her daughter and son-in-law, Dorsey and Arch Wiese of Normangee; her sister, Eva Jones of Alice; and three grandchildren.
Minnie Bell “Mama Minnie” Thomas
Jan. 29, 1891 - Dec. 11, 2001
Services for Minnie Bell “Mama Minnie” Thomas, 110, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at United Full Gospel Baptist Church. Rev. E.E. Garvin of Washington Chapel Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturday at Daniel & Son Funeral Home.
A wake service will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas died Tuesday at Bryton Inn Health Center in Bryan.
She was a lifetime resident of Bryan and member of Salem Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Thomas, and her daughter, Dessie Smith.
Survivors include ten grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, 48 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to Salem Missionary Baptist Church.
Omega Neal

PLANO — Services for Omega (Gasper) Neal, 80, of Plano and formerly of Caldwell are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Caldwell. Rev. Cecil Lang will officiate. Burial will be in Chriesman Cemetery with military honors under the auspices of VFW Post 4458 of Caldwell.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mrs. Neal died Wednesday at Life Care Center in Plano. She was born in Chriesman. She was a graduate of Methodist Hospital School of Nursing in Houston. During World War II, she served with the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant and was awarded the World War II Victory Medal, the American Campaign Medal and the European African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. She was employed as a nurse by Children’s Medical Center in Dallas for 32 years prior to her retirement. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and VFW Post #4458 of Caldwell.
Survivors include her husband of almost 54 years, Cameron Neal of Plano; her son, Dr. Cameron Neal Jr. of Temple; her two daughters, Elizabeth Neal Branigan of Austin and Helen Neal Copeland of Dallas; three sisters, Alice Jo McElroy and Clara Gasper, both of Arlington, and Laura Harbin of College Station; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Werner C. Wendt
July 23, 1921 - Dec. 10, 2001
EL CAMPO — Services were held Thursday in Wharton for Werner C. Wendt, 80, of El Campo and formerly of Wharton.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home in Wharton.
Mr. Wendt died Monday in an El Campo hospital.
He was born in Weimar.
He had been a resident of El Campo for 45 years and lived in Wharton for 10 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wharton, the American Legion and VFW in El Campo and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Wendt was active in Little League baseball for many years and also served as an umpire.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Goessler Wendt, and his second wife, Gracia Bassett Haby.
Survivors include his three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Glenda Wendt of El Campo, Charles and Kathie Wendt of Iola and Ernen and Cheri Haby Jr. of Richardson; his daughter and son-in-law, Gracia Diane and David Smaistrla of Pearland; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Edwin Lee ‘Ed’ Gramberg

Graveside services for Edwin Lee “Ed” Gramberg, 49, of College Station are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the College Station Cemetery.
The Rev. Michael Sis of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mr. Gramberg died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Bryan and was a lifelong resident of the Bryan-College Station area. He was a computer equipment supervisor at Texas A&M University and was a 1971 graduate of Stephen F. Austin High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and held an associate degree in Digital Electronics.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Gorizycki Gramberg.
Survivors include his mother, Eva Maria Gramberg of Rockdale; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Eva Maddox of Bryan and Elaine and Robert Barr of Fairfax, Va.; four nephews; a niece; four great-nephews; and one great-niece.

Grace Marguerite Guyett Beamer

Services for Grace Marguerite Guyett Beamer, 88, of Houston are set for 11 a.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
The Rev. Bob Waters will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to the time of the services Monday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Beamer died Tuesday in Houston.
She was born in Woodbine, Iowa, and was a former Home Economics teacher at Bryan High School. She received a bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and a master’s degree from Sam Houston State University. She also taught in Iowa. She was a member of TSTA-NEA, Vocational Homemaking Teachers Association of Texas, Bryan Educational Association, Business and Professional Women Educational Association, PEO, and was a 50-year member of the Ladies Association. She was also a member of A&M United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Russell Beamer.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Anne Beamer of College Station; a daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Dr. James Willerson of Houston; a sister, Dorothy Rinne of Bishop, Calif.; two grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Elaine Flanagan

SOMERVILLE — Services for Elaine Flanagan, 80, of Somerville are set for 2 p.m. Monday at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Somerville.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 2 to 8 p.m. and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Flanagan died Wednesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Plant City, Fla., and was a longtime resident of Somerville. She formerly held a seat on the Somerville City Council and served as the volunteer manager of the Senior Citizen’s Center in Somerville for seven years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence “Bill” Flanagan.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Colleen Flanagan and Richard Rundell of Austin; three sons and a daughter-in-law, William “Bill” Flanagan of Somerville, John Flanagan of Abbeville, La., and Patrick and Terri Flanagan of Houston; a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Boots Wiggins of Heber Springs, Ark.; a sister, Amelia “Kitty” Lyons of Houston; five grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Juan Garcia Sr.

NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Juan Garcia Sr., 96, of Navasota are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mr. Garcia died Thursday in Grimes-St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born in Mexico and was a longtime resident of Navasota. He was a retired plumber.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Garcia; two daughters, Donna Abad and Virginia Flores; and a son, John Garcia Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Hope G. Arispe of Houston; a brother, Joe Garcia Sr. of Navasota; 23 grandchildren; 71 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Rau died Thursday in Brenham.
She was born in Cedar Hill and was a homemaker. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville, where she was a member of ALC Women’s organization and Ladies Aid and served as organist for 30 years.
Survivors include her husband, Theodore Rau of Brenham; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth and Kervin Finke and Deanna and Charles Giese, all of Brenham, and Carol and Weyman Leiber of Houston; a brother and six sisters-in-law, Otto and Ella Rau, Geneva Herrmann and Elsie Herrmann, all of Brenham, Cecelie Rau of Taylor, Minnie Moehrig of Yorktown and Rosa Lee Herrmann of Hempstead; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
