MADISONVILLE — Services for Darrell Frank McMurrough, 35, of Houston are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Elwood Baptist Church in Midway.
The Rev. Glenn Connor will officiate. Burial will be in Allphin Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Madisonville Funeral Home.
Mr. McMurrough died Saturday in Houston.
He was born in Galena Park, Texas, and attended the Southwest Collegiate Institute for the Deaf in Big Spring. He worked as an instructor/interpreter at Nightingale Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of Maxey Road Baptist Church in Houston and also attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Houston.
Survivors include his parents, Bill and Maxine McMurrough of Midway; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Jo Ellen McMurrough of Crosby, Texas, and Richard and Denise McMurrough of Houston; two sisters, Mary McMurrough of Dayton, Texas, and Bobbie McMurrough of Huffman, Texas; 12 nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and nephews; and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
Helen Jean Williams

NAVASOTA — Services for Helen Jean Williams, 52, of Navasota are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Truevine Baptist Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Charles Thompkins of Salem House of Blessings will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota and from noon to the time of the services Wednesday at the church.
Mrs. Williams died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Grimes County and was a member of Salem House of Blessings.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Colodios and Brenda Williams of Houston; a daughter, Chantel Williams of Navasota; five brothers and three sisters-in-law, John W. Jr. and Helen Lattimore, James and Ora Lee Lattimore, Andrew Lattimore, Arthur and Gloria Lattimore and Kenneth Morris, all of Houston; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lillian Baldwin and Daisy and Leo Henderson, all of Houston; her parents, Myrtle Hatchett of Navasota and John W. Lattimore Sr. of Anderson; and two grandchildren.
Mary Lee Stephens

ROCKDALE — Graveside services for Mary Lee Stephens, 79, of Rockdale are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Salty Cemetery in the Salty community. The Rev. Ronnie Dyer will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mrs. Stephens died Saturday at Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale.
She was born in Sevier County, Tenn., and lived in Rockdale since 1956. She was a gas station operator.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elbert Lay “Buddy” Stephens.
Survivors include a son, Hubert Spencer Stephens of Rockdale; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John R. and Doris Maples of Greenville, S.C., and Tom and Stella Maples of Knoxville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
Richard Kenneth Morrison

ALAMOGORDO, N.M. — Services were recently held for Richard Kenneth Morrison, 69, of La Luz, N.M.
Mr. Morrison died Wednesday in Alamogordo.
Arrangements were under the direction of Hamilton-O’Dell Funeral Home in Alamogordo.
He was born in Ajo, Ariz., and attended Tucson public schools. He graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor of science degree in entomology. He moved to New Mexico in 1993 after living in College Station for 24 years.
Mr. Morrison was a former USDA-ARS entomologist specializing in biological control. He worked for Beneficial Insectary of Redding, Calif., as its research and development adviser for the past eight years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Morrison.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Richard K. “Ken” Morrison II and his wife, Denise, of Ft. Collins, Colo.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Ellen M. “Emmy” Morrison and her husband, Christian “Chris” Robbian of Ithaca, N.Y., and Andrine A. Morrison of Las Cruces, N.M.; two grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.
Alan Louis Stacell
March 20, 1933 — Dec. 9, 2001
Services for Alan Louis Stacell, 68, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Covenant Presbyterian Church in College Station. There will be a private burial.
Arrangements were under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mr. Stacell died Sunday.
He was born in Streator, Ill. He was a professor in the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University, where he taught from 1960 to 2000. During his career he served as head of the Department of Environmental Design. Honors and awards he received included the Texas Society of Architects Award for Excellence in Architectural Education, the Texas A&M Alumni Distinguished Teaching Award and the Texas A&M Faculty Distinguished Achievement Award.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen Stacell of College Station; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Tamara Stacell of Missouri City, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Lauren Stacell and J. Robert Randall of Austin; a brother, Glen Stacell; his mother, Beulah Stacell of Streator, Ill; and four grandchildren.

ROSEBUD, Texas — Services for Annie Lorenz Stock, 92, of Rosebud are set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the Salem Lutheran Church in Barclay, Texas. The Rev. Paul Dirksmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Barclay Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cook-Gerngross-Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Rosebud.
Mrs. Stock died Monday in a Rosebud nursing center.
She was born in Vogelsang, Texas. She was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church for many years and served more than 25 years in voluntary services for Heritage House Nursing Center in Rosebud. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Stock.
Survivors include two sons, Bill Stock of Rosebud and Herald Stock of Bryan; a daughter, Joycelyn Litzman of Pearland; two brothers, Ed Lorenz of Temple and Milton Lorenz of Baytown, Texas; a sister, Hilda Schmidt of Temple; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Millie Ozell Mowdy Laurence

CAMERON — Graveside services for Millie Ozell Mowdy Laurence, 82, of Cameron are set for 10 a.m. Thursday in the Lawrence Cemetery near Taylor. The Rev. James E. Lafferty will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mrs. Laurence died Tuesday in a Rosebud nursing facility.
She was born in Cameron and was a nurse’s aide at the Cameron Nursing Home for many years. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a son, Curtis Gill of Maysfield, Texas; and a sister, Opal Young of Cameron.
Eunice Nichols

Mrs. Nichols died Monday.
She was born in Pelly, Texas, and lived in the Tabor community for 50 years. She was a lab technician for Brazos County and a member of the Cottonwood Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jim A. Nichols of the Tabor community; a son and daughter-in-law, Quentin and Beverly Nichols of Mansfield, Texas; a daughter, Susan Nichols of Arlington; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Brenham Memorial Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Howell died Monday in Trinity Medical Center.
She was born in Austin. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Sam Houston State University and was a home economics teacher at Brenham High School and Blinn College. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church and the Friendship Quilt Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mack Davis Howell.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Donna and Trace Fricke of Brenham and Brenda Howell of Austin; a sister, Judy Williams of Willis; her mother-in-law, Kate Howell of Jasper; three grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
