CAMERON — Services for Donald Ray Simmons, 74, of Milano are set for 2 p.m. Friday at Kathryn W. Green Chapel of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron. The Rev. Mike O’Neil and Dr. Joe Weldon Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in the Gause Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.Mr. Simmons died Monday.
He was born in Rockdale. He was a Baptist and retired from Alcoa in Rockdale. He served in the Army during World War II in Japan.
Survivors include a son, Steven Simmons of Milano; two daughters, Donna Gilbert of Cameron and Marilyn Woods of Copperas Cove, Texas; two brothers, Eddie Simmons of Cameron and Horace Simmons of Buckholts; a sister, Reba Sain of Waco; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Tina Marie Vitale

FORT WORTH — Graveside services for Tina Marie Vitale, 34, of Fort Worth and formerly of Somerville are set for 3 p.m. Friday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. The Rev. Cecil Lang Jr. will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
Miss Vitale died Monday in a Fort Worth hospital.
She was born in Hanover, Mich., and attended school in Somerville. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her father and brother.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Frances Peek and Joe Putz of Fort Worth; a daughter, Kristina Nicole Neyland of Fort Worth; two sons, John Keith Vitale and Anthony Louis Neyland; two sisters, Robie Harris and Theresa Reader; and a brother, Robert Vitale.
Edna Lee Powell Cole

Graveside services for Edna Lee Powell Cole, 91, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Bryan City Cemetery. The Rev. Philip McLarty of First Presbyterian Church in Bryan will officiate.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cole died Wednesday in Baytown, Texas.
She was born in Marlin and was a homemaker and member of the Daughters of American Revolution, the Manakin Hugenot Society and the First Presbyterian Church in Bryan.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Putnam Cole of Bryan; a son, Donald Powell Cole of Cairo, Egypt; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Juanita Savannah Foster

Mrs. Foster died Wednesday in a Weatherford nursing center.
She was born in Rockdale and was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Cameron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Lee Foster.
Survivors include a stepson, James Foster of Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas; a stepdaughter, Dorothy Fulkerson of Lubbock; two sisters, Ethel Medline and Vivian Pinkert, both of Lubbock; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Richard Allen Ray

Nolan E. Hueske

BRENHAM — Services for Nolan E. Hueske, 82, of Brenham are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Peters Lutheran Church of Gay Hill. The Rev. Virgil Pecht will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mr. Hueske died Tuesday.
He was born in the Gay Hill community in Washington County. He was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, the Buddy Wright Post #48 of the American Legion, James F. Dillon Post 7104 of the VFW, the Retired Teachers Association, the Gay Hill Fire Department and his morning coffee bunch.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 486th Bombers Group.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jeanette Schoenemann.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne Dannhaus Hueske of Brenham; a daughter, Jacquelyn Hueske of Alvin, Texas; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Geraldine and Marvin Thielemann and Patricia and James Rogers, all of Houston; his brother, Gus Hueske of Houston; four stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Anna Mary Woerz Smith

Services for Anna Mary Woerz Smith, 85, of Bryan and formerly of Stillwater, Okla., are set for 10:30 a.m. Friday at Countryside Baptist Church in Stillwater. The Rev. J.B. Bond and Dr. Maynard Seaman will officiate. Burial will be in the Covington Cemetery in Covington, Okla.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Strode Funeral Home in Stillwater.
Mrs. Smith died Monday in Bryan.
She was born near Douglas, Okla., and attended school in Enid, Covington and Douglas, Okla. She taught Sunday School and was a member of Countryside Baptist Church in Stillwater. She was a housewife.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, the Rev. Victor Woerz and Gordon Smith.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Everett Watkins of Olate, Kan., Dorothy and Maynard Seamon of Nemo, S.D., and Mary and Fred Ayers of Ravenna, Texas; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Sharon Woerz of Bryan; a sister and brother-in-law, Roberta and Howard Dobson of Tulsa, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Jerry Robert Throckmorton

ROCKDALE — Services for Jerry Robert Throckmorton, 46, of Rockdale are set for 1:30 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in the Giddings Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Craver of Grace Lutheran Church of Rockdale will officiate.
Mr. Throckmorton died Wednesday.
He was born in Giddings, Texas, and lived in Rockdale most of his life. He worked at the Rockdale Independent School District as a cafeteria worker for more than 20 years and was a 1977 graduate of Rockdale High School. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rockdale for more than 40 years and was a longtime usher. He was a member of Rockdale Athletic Booster Club and was the grand marshal for the 1995 Christmas parade.
Survivors include his parents, James and Ethel Throckmorton of Rockdale; a brother, James Throckmorton of El Paso; and a sister, Judy Melcher of Fairfield.

A memorial service for Karen Keatts Cedillo, 35, of Bryan is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Monsignor John Malinowski will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cedillo died Sunday in Bryan.
She was born in Irving and lived in Bryan for 12 years. She worked for Brazos County for a number of years, most recently as the receptionist in the Brazos County Courthouse.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Cedillo of Bryan; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Benny and Mary Cedillo of College Station; her sister, Theresa Madera of White Settlement, Texas; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Darryl and Lori Bruffett of College Station, Jackie DuPree of Kurten and Michael Cedillo of Austin; and one nephew.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Daniel & Son Funeral Home in Bryan. Mr. Garner died Sunday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
A lifetime resident of Bryan, he attended Bryan High School and worked as a supervisor for Texcon Utilities Construction. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church, where he was a deacon and superintendent of Sunday School.
Survivors include his wife, Teresa Garner of Bryan; his sons, Curtis Garner Jr. and Michael Garner, both of Bryan; his six daughters, Veronica Garner of Oakwood, Calif., and Tonya Garner, LaTasha Henderson, Michelle Henderson, Renee Henderson and Victoria Thompson, all of Bryan; his two brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Avia Garner of Calvert and Luther and Angela Garner of San Diego, Calif.; seven sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy Johnson of Bryan, Linda and C.H. Mrs. Wright died Sunday at her residence.
She was born in Brenham. She was a housewife. She was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Victor Wright.
