BUFFALO — Services for Marie G. Craig, 88, of Buffalo are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo. The Rev. Duncan Graham, Craig Graham, and the Rev. Don White will officiate. Burial will be in the Buffalo Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at Buffalo Funeral Home.
Mrs. Craig died Monday at Palestine Regional Medical Center.
She was born in Texas City and moved to Buffalo from Houston in 1983. She retired from T.J. Bettes Mortgage Co. in 1980 after 20 years of employment. She was a member of Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard H. Craig.Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Martina Martinez

LYONS — Graveside services for Martina Martinez, 66, of Lyons are set for 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville. The Rev. Pedro Garcia will officiate.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home in Somerville.
A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Martinez died Sunday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Gonzales, Texas. She attended school in Somerville and served as a foster parent for more than 20 years.
Survivors include her husband, Victor Martinez of Lyons; a daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Everett Ramirez of Lyons; four sisters, Lorenza Longoria of El Campo, Texas, Jerry Cordova of New Mexico, Janie Gomez of Houston and Frances Posada of Eagle Lake, Texas; three brothers, Steve Cordova of Eagle Lake, Esiquto Cordova of New Mexico and Leon Cordova of Eagle Lake; and one grandchild.

Gregory Mitchell

A memorial service for Gregory Mitchell, 30, of College Station is set for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Hall. Elder John Meloher will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan. A wake service will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Mitchell died Sunday at his home.
Mr. Mitchell was born in Bryan and graduated from Bryan High School. He was a Jehovah’s Witness and worked for Cox Cable.
Survivors include his wife, Denise Mitchell of College Station; two brothers, Elmer Louis Mitchell and Terry Mitchell, both of Bryan; a sister, Cheryl Dannett Mitchell of Bryan; his mother, Mary Mitchell of Bryan; his father and mother-in-law, David and Doris Cooper of Poteet, Texas; and his grandparents, Terrence and Charlie Mae Bazy and Alberta Bailey, all of Bryan.
Lula Mae Parker

CENTERVILLE — Services for Lula Mae Parker, 84, of Centerville are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Walters Funeral Home Chapel in Centerville. The Rev. Billy Gunnels will officiate. Burial will be in the New Salem Cemetery in Leon County.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Parker died Monday.
She was born in Centerville, was a longtime resident of Leon County and was a member of the Church of Christ faith. She attended the Centerview Community Church and New Salem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Parker.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Billie Jay and Wayne Bain of Fort Worth and Shirley Mae and Jack Bain of Lancaster, Texas; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Ross Lee Viola

Services for Ross Lee Viola, 70, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bryan. The Rev. David Williams will officiate. Burial will be at the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. by Monsignor John Malinowski at the funeral home.
Mr. Viola died Monday at his home. He was born in Steele Store, was a records specialist with the civil service and was retired from the Army Reserves. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Jean Viola.
Survivors include his son, Jimmy Viola of Houston; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Katie and Charles Cash of Bryan and Frances and Joe Davis of Katy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald J. Helfrich

A memorial service for Donald J. Helfrich, 84, of College Station is set for 11 a.m. Friday at Wellborn Baptist Church. The Rev. John Boyle will officiate.
Mr. Helfrich died Tuesday at College Station Medical Center.
He was born in Elm Creek, Neb., and resided in College Station for the past year. He was a retired electronic technician with the Federal Aviation Administration and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Helfrich was a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Helfrich of College Station; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis E. and Kathy Squier of Ridge Crest, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Roxanna L. and John Boyle of College Station; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Juan Manuel Gonzalez Sr.

HEARNE — Services for Juan Manuel Gonzalez Sr., 21, of Hearne are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne. The Rev. Scott Mikkelson will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Jose Cemetery in Hearne.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday and a rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. at Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.
Mr. Gonzalez died Sunday in Montgomery, Ala., as a result of an auto accident.
He was born in Monterrey, Mexico, graduated from Hearne High School and was in the construction business. Mr. Gonzalez was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife, Eusebia Gonzalez of Hearne; a son, Juan Manuel Gonzalez Jr. of Hearne; a daughter, Yolanda Marie Gonzalez of Hearne; and his parents, Catarino and Leticia Gonzalez of Hearne.
William O. ‘Woody’ Woodard

BUFFALO — Graveside services for William O. “Woody” Woodard, 87, of Buffalo are set for noon Wednesday at the Wild Song Ranch. Chip Aston, a nephew, will give the eulogy.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.
Mr. Woodard died Sunday in Palestine.
He was born in Wichita Falls, was a resident of Buffalo for the past six years and was formerly of Normangee. He worked as a self-employed construction worker and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Diane and John Langley of Virginia; his brother and sister-in-law, C.W. and Mary Lou Woodard of Azle, Texas; his sister, Yvonne Aston of Azle; and four grandchildren.
Sam S. Cangemi Jr.

HEARNE — Services for Sam S. Cangemi Jr., 83, of Hearne are set for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne. The Rev. Scott Mikkelson will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hearne.

Mr. Cangemi died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
He was born in Bryan and lived in Hearne for 48 years. He was an iceman for PFE Railroad and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne.
Survivors include his wife, Angelina Cangemi of Hearne; a son, Sam S. Cangemi III of College Station; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Marie and John Garcia of Sugar Land, Texas, and Jennifer Ann and James Drew Ilger of Kingwood, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Josephine and Brazos Arcotta of Branchville, Texas, and Dora Fazzino of Steele Store.
John Garcia Jr.

NAVASOTA — Services for John Garcia Jr., 55, of Navasota are set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota. Deacon Peter Sechelski of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate.
Mr. Garcia died Thursday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
A longtime resident of Navasota, he was a retired printer and typesetter with The Navasota Examiner and Precision Printing & Office Supply. He graduated from Navasota High School, was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4054 of Anderson and was instrumental in forming a chess club with the Navasota youth at both Navasota Junior High School and Navasota Intermediate School.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda L. Huffman of Navasota; a son, Christopher Free of Navasota; two daughters, April Lee Free and Crystal Garcia; a sister, Hope Arispe of Houston; and his father, John Garcia Sr. of Navasota.
Annie Mae Kubichek

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m Wednesday and 9 a.m. to the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Kubichek died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Caldwell and was a homemaker and member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bryan. She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Kubichek.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, David and Bessie Walker, Bobby and Ginger Kubichek and Billy and Susan Kubichek, all of Bryan; four daughters and sons-in-law, Edna and Richard Stone, Karen and Billy Morsko and Jimmie Delores and Jimmy Jurischk, all of Bryan, and Debbie and Edward Jameson of Massachusetts; a brother, Richard L. Ryan of Bryan; a sister and brother-in-law, Sally and John Wallace of Garland; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
