Lois is survived by her daughters Wanda Duke and husband Gary of Little Rock, Arkansas; Diane Miller and husband Bubba of Baytown, Texas; Donna White and husband Larry of Highlands, Texas; son Ronnie Holmes and wife Brenda of El Dorado, Arkansas; her grandchildren Shunia Kelley, James Hill, Bryan Duke, Brad Hill, Joey Holmes, Steven Duke, Kyle White, Laura White, Amanda Broyles, and Ricky Miller; 13 great grandchildren; her brother Richard O'Barr; and sisters Betty Jo Williams, and Lelia Patterson.

Martin “Marty” Carpenter, 46 of Baytown, Texas went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 10, 2006 surrounded by his loved ones. He entered this life on August 24, 1959 in Shreveport, LA to Edwin and Dorothy Carpenter. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He was an operator for BP Amoco for 21 years. He was a loving, devoted husband, son, brother, dad, uncle and paw-paw. His greatest joys in life were spending time with his grandchildren, love for Nascar, and especially volunteering with his grandson Gabriel’s Cardinal T-Ball Team.
Leola P. (York) Singleton
Leola P. (York) Singleton, 91, born November 8, 1914 to parents Alphan and Delphene Arceneaux. She died on June 10, 2006 at her residence in Baytown, Texas. She and her late husband, Paul had two sons, Paul Jr. (deceased) and Joseph.
York spent her formative years in Leonville, Louisiana. She moved to McNair in 1942 and was a founding member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She was a life member of the Altar Society and attended Mass regularly until her health prevented her from doing so. York worked as a Housekeeper at Gulf Coast Hospital for twenty five years until she retired.

Duane Smith, 40, of Baytown, TX was born April 14, 1966 in Baytown and passed away Saturday, June 10, 2006 in a Houston hospital after being involved in a motorcycle accident. He was an operator at Dow Chemical for 16 years and was a NASCAR fan, but his passion was music; listening to it and following both well known rock bands and discovering lesser known bands. He attended Ross S. Sterling High School and was a 1985 graduate of Barbers Hill High School.

Mary and her husband, J.D. were painting contractors in the Baytown/Houston area for over 15 years. They retired to the Broaddus Lake area for 13 years and she returned to Baytown after J.D.’s death in 1985 for her last 20 years.

She was a member of The Wednesday Club and Delta Kappa Gamma.

Brian Keith Saunders, Jr. “Mike” 26, of Baytown, Texas passed away Sunday, May 21, 2006, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas.
A graduate of Dayton High School 1998, he enjoyed spending time at his computer keyboard with a creative flair for making others laugh. He attempted to lead a normal life, working as he was able, at various jobs in the community. He was admired as an employee and enjoyed staying active. His weakened condition slowed him down as his heart and lungs gave out from an undiagnosed rare condition know as Primary Pulmonary Hypertension.
