CAMERON — Services for Fred Joseph Heinz Jr., 62, of Copperas Cove are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Monica’s Catholic Church in Cameron.
The Rev. Tom Hanus will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Marek-Burns-Laywell Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mr. Heinz died Thursday in a Killeen hospital.
He was born in Cameron.
Survivors include three sisters, Marie Garrard of Cameron, Betty Davis of Bryan and Ann Susik of Corpus Christi.
Fred William Whiteacre
Feb. 9, 1916 — Nov. 28, 2001
FRANKLIN — Services for Fred William Whiteacre, 85, of Franklin are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.
The Rev. Chuck Weber of Franklin United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Wheelock Cemetery in Wheelock.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. until the time of services Saturday.
Mr. Whiteacre died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Denison, Texas, was a retired welder and lived in Franklin for seven years. He was a World War II veteran, a member of the Franklin United Methodist Church and the Knights of Phyias, Texas.
He was preceded in death by a son, Fred W. Whiteacre Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Jane Whiteacre of Franklin; a sister-in-law, Barbara Bolton of Franklin; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; and a nephew.
Robert Louis Gibbs
March 22, 1919 — Nov. 29, 2001
BRENHAM — Services for Robert Louis Gibbs, 82, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
The Rev. E. Glynn Ferguson will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Mr. Gibbs died Thursday in Brenham.
He was born in Malvern, Ark., and was a retired machinist for Reynolds Metals Co.
He attended the Malvern schools and served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Marion Dae Scott Gibbs and Eola Hill Gibbs.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Jo Martin of Brenham; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Chappell Hill.
Dolores Joines Lancaster

CAMERON — Memorial services for Dolores Joines Lancaster, 70, of Jones Prairie are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Little River Baptist Church in Jones Prairie.
Arrangements are under the direction of Green-Patterson Funeral Home in Cameron.
Mrs. Lancaster died Thursday at her home.
She was born in Houston and lived there until her retirement. She had lived in Jones Prairie since 1994. She was a member of the Little River Baptist Church, where she was church hostess. She was also a member of the Jones Prairie 42 Club and the Cameron Fleur-de-lis Garden Club.
Survivors include her husband, Earl R. Lancaster Jr.; three daughters and a son-in-law, Debra R. Hatcher of Cameron, Jackie L. and Bob Smith of Houston and Kathryn E. Guidry of Deer Park, Texas; a brother, John Richard Pangarakis of Clear Lake, Texas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Little River Baptist Church New Building Fund.
Charles Eugene Lewis

Services for Charles Eugene Lewis, 32, of Somerville are set for 11 a.m. Monday at the Somerville Church of Christ.
Bro. Robert Lee Moore of the Church of Christ will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Peoples Mortuary in Bryan.
Mr. Lewis died Thursday.
He was born in Brenham and was a longtime resident of Somerville. He was a traffic flagger and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Vester Thomas and Raymond Waston, both of Somerville; a brother, Wallace Lewis of Somerville; and two sisters, Thelma Lewis and Mary Lewis, both of Somerville.
Glen Lumpkins
June 18, 1913 — Nov. 29, 2001
ROCKDALE — Memorial services for Glen Lumpkins, 88, of Temple are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rockdale.
The Rev. Robert Herald of St. Joseph Catholic Church will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mrs. Lumpkins died Thursday at the Temple Meridian Retirement Community.
She was born in Guys Store and lived in Temple for 10 years. She lived most of her life in Rockdale, teaching 38 years in the Rockdale and Milano areas. She was associated with St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Temple and was a member for more than 50 years at the First Christian Church in Rockdale.
She was a former member of the Rockdale American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George B. Lumpkins.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Joe Slusher of Rockdale; a sister, Bonnie Belle Fleming of Canyon Lake, Texas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Lucy Hill Patterson Memorial Library in Rockdale, the American Heart Association or to a charity of choice.
Ola Catherine Murchison

HEARNE — Graveside services for Ola Catherine Murchison, 80, of Killeen are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Norwood Cemetery in Hearne.
Paul McAnaly of the Church of Christ in Hearne will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.
Ms. Murchison died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Bremond and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include a sister, Bea Bishaw of Georgia; an aunt, Alva Griffin of Hearne; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the general fund of the Hearne Church of Christ.
Hubert F. Schroeder

NAVASOTA — Services for Hubert F. Schroeder, 78, of Navasota are set for 10:30 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Navasota.
The Rev. Donald Kasper of Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 5 to 8 p.m., at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
A prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Schroeder died Friday in Grimes-St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born in Anderson and was retired from Trinity Industries as a steel burner. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was a member of VFW Post 4006. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Alvina Schroeder of Navasota; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Jodie Schroeder and Wilburn and Ann Schroeder, all of Houston, and Charles and Denise Schroeder of Brenham; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lois and Peter Kozak of Houston and Marilyn Cunningham of Sachse, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Ann Schroeder of Roswell, Ga.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gladys Coleman of Houston and Nora Lee and A.B. Foote of Alvin; and 11 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Concordia University in Austin or Trinity Lutheran Church.
Russell A. ‘Rusty’ White Jr.

SOMERVILLE —Services for Russell A. “Rusty” White Jr., 52, of Lyons are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville.
Darrin Holub will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Holhausen-Darby Cemetery in Moscow, Texas.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. White died Friday at his home.
He was born in Houston, attended schools in Katy and was a truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis White of Lyons; his mother, Gertrude White of Katy; two daughters, Temptation White of Lyons and Misty White of Sugar Land; three sons and daughters-in-law, Russell A. III and Deidra White of College Station, Spencer and Elaina White of Brenham and Justin and Amanda White of Daingerfield, Texas; three sisters, Dawn Rejsek of Katy, Karen Carter of Houston and Laura Patton of Freeport, Texas; and two grandchildren.
