NAVASOTA — Services for Roy Lee Kolbasinski, 55, of Anderson are set for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Anderson.
The Rev. Louis S. Sikorski of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mr. Kolbasinski died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Navasota and was a longtime resident of Anderson. He was a 1965 graduate of Anderson High School and was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. He was employed in inside sales at a building materials company.
Survivors include his wife, Dianne Wehmeyer Kolbasinski of Anderson; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kari Lynn and Brandon Eisenman, Marti and Kevin Stephens and Kaci Kolbasinski, all of Anderson; a brother and sister-in-law, Frankie and Vickie Kolbasinski of Washington; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Joanice Wehmeyer of Anderson; two stepsisters, Ruth Orlando and Marcella Matnanga, both of Houston; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law, Carolyn and Marshall Ashorn and Maxine Wehmeyer, all of Anderson; his in-laws, Harvey and Margaret Wehmeyer of Anderson; and two grandchildren.
Gertie Geneva Lane

Graveside services for Gertie Geneva Lane, 72, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the Smetana Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mrs. Lane died Friday at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Bryan and was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Otis and Wanda Lane and Louis and Connie Lane, all of Bryan; three daughters and sons-in-law, Iona and Alton Hyvl of Dayton, Texas, Carolann and James Hyvl of Caldwell and Linda and Rudolph Schultz of Bryan; three brothers, Richard McGough of Cleveland, Texas, Louis McGough of Bryan and Jake McGough of Gatesville, Texas; three sisters, Betty Purl of Willis, Texas, and Mary Lois Inman and Ruth Pruiett, both of Bryan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
McDade ‘Mac’ H. Meyers

CENTERVILLE — Services for McDade “Mac” H. Meyers, 79, of Centerville are set for 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church in Centerville.
The Rev. Larry Ashley of the First Baptist Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville, and from 1:30 p.m. to the time of the services Sunday at the church.
Mr. Meyers died Thursday in Bryan.
He was born in McDade and had lived in Leon County near Centerville since 1988. He formerly lived in Houston and worked as an electrical engineer in the petroleum industry. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centerville and the Centerville Masonic Lodge No. 1291, where he served as secretary for many years and received the Masonic Golden Trowel award. He was also a Shriner and was secretary of the Texas Shrine Bowlers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Meyers of Centerville; two sons, Charles Franklin Meyers of Austin and Steven Mark Meyers of Centerville; two brothers, Keeper H. Meyers of Conroe and Poindexter H. Meyers of Bastrop, Texas; and a sister, Martha Helen Pearson of Concord, Calif.

Mrs. Pevehouse died Thursday at her home.
She was born in Rockdale and was a homemaker.

FRANKLIN — Services for Mary Grace Helm McReynolds, 83, of Franklin are set for 11 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Franklin.
The Rev. Jim Manning will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
Mrs. McReynolds died Saturday at her home.
She was born in Houston and lived in Franklin for 20 years. She formerly lived in Bellaire, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Franklin and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, F.L. McReynolds of Franklin; three daughters, Grace Bugg of El Paso and Kay Helm and Aby Brown Smith, both of Charlotte, N.C.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack and Trisha Helm of Cleburne, Jim and Teresa Helm of Franklin, John and Leah Helm of San Antonio and Jordan and Shawn Helm of La Porte; three sisters, Maxine Walker of Houston, Frances Menasco of Somerville and Joan Dudley of La Porte; 30 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

John Richard Symank Sr.

CALDWELL — Services for John Richard Symank Sr., 66, of Dauphin Island, Ala., are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
The Rev. Steve Stigler will officiate. Burial will be in Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.
Mr. Symank died Wednesday at his home.
He was born in LaGrange and was a 1953 graduate of Caldwell High School, where he was an athlete. He received an associate of science degree from Arlington State College and a bachelor of science degree from the University of Florida. He was named to the Junior College All-American football team in 1954 and was named to the University of Florida Hall of Fame in 1956. He served as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves.
He began playing professional football in 1957 with the Green Bay Packers and ended his playing career in 1963 with the St. Louis Cardinals. He holds the record for most interceptions by a rookie and led his team in interceptions from 1957 to 1961. In 1964 he began his coaching career with Tulane University and continued with the University of Virginia, the Atlanta Falcons, Northern Arizona University, the University of Texas at Arlington, the New York Giants, the Baltimore Colts and Louisiana State University, where he coached and served as assistant athletic director until his retirement in 1998. Since his retirement, he served as a volunteer at Belingrath Gardens.
Survivors include his wife, Sarianne Bowers Symank of Dauphin Island; a son and daughter-in-law, John Richard Jr. and Carla Symank of Newman, Ga.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Timothy Wright of Chapel Hill, N.C., Cindy and David Pervola of Danville, Pa., and Susan and Jeffery Hartman of Morgantown, W. Va.; his mother-in-law, Lorraine Collins Bowers of Caldwell; two aunts and nine grandchildren.

Clarence R. Theiss

MADISONVILLE — Services for Clarence R. Theiss, 73, of North Zulch and formerly of Westfield are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North Zulch.
The Rev. A.J. Loeschman will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Madisonville Funeral Home.
Mr. Theiss died Saturday at his home.
He was born in Westfield and lived in Madison County since 1979. He was a rancher and was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Theiss of North Zulch; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Nina Theiss of Hilltop Lakes; two daughters and sons-in-law, Glynda and Mike Murphy of North Zulch and Kathy and Edward Otter of Conroe; four brothers, Edwin Theiss and Earl Theiss, both of North Zulch, Herbert Theiss of Waller and Kenneth Theiss of Normangee; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Miss Dodd died Saturday in Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale.
She was a lifelong resident of Milam County and was a member of the Sandy Creek Church of Christ. She was a nurses’ aid at the Rockdale Nursing Home for many years.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Woody and Carrie Dodd of Rockdale; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Jack Mason of Azle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eula B. Lathrop

CENTERVILLE — Services for Eula B. Lathrop, 70, of Buffalo are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Flo Community Baptist Church.

Mrs. Lathrop died Saturday in a Palestine hospital.
She was born in Crockett and lived in the Flo community near Buffalo 25 years. She was a member of the Flo Community Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Don Lathrop of Buffalo; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pam Lathrop and Dona Lathrop and Mark Eitson, all of Buffalo; and five grandchildren.
Maria ‘Niny’ Stelly
Aug. 29, 1914 — Jan. 26, 2002
Services for Maria “Niny” Stelly, 87, of College Station are set for 3 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station.
The Rev. Michael Sis of St. Mary’s Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in the College Station Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan. A rosary will be recited by the Rev. Dean Wilhelm following the vigil service.
Mrs. Stelly died Saturday in St. Joseph Manor.
She was born in Naples, Italy, and was a resident of College Station since 1956. She volunteered at the “Incurables Hospital” in Naples in the 1930s and finished first in her class at the Italian Red Cross Nursing School. She was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant during World War II and attended wounded soldiers.
She taught French and Italian out of her home upon her move to College Station and taught on campus at Texas A&M University for 40 years. She was a charter member of the Brazos Valley League of Women Voters, serving as vice president many years and heading its foreign affairs committee. She counseled young women at the Brazos Valley Good Samaritan and was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the St. Mary’s Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Randall Stelly; and a daughter, Louise Paula Stelly.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence and Stela Stelly of Clear Lake; a daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth “Betty” and Doug Cook of Hurst; a brother and sister-in-law, Admiral Giuseppe and Mutzi Martucci of Rome, Italy; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or to St. Joseph Manor.
