Graveside services for Douglas Duwayne Hudspeth, 69, of College Station are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the College Station City Cemetery.
The Rev. Jerry Neff will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station.
Mr. Hudspeth died Saturday in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Temple.
He was born in Huntsville and lived in College Station for 35 years. He was a retired U.S. Postal Service clerk and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife, Joanne Hudspeth of College Station; two sons and daughters-in-law, David and Jennifer Hudspeth of College Station and 1st Sgt. (Ret.) Robert A. and Trixie Hudspeth of Florissant, Colo.; a daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Chris Seaman of Bryan; a sister, LaNita Nell Pope of Somerville; and six grandchildren.
Topaz Harrell Hughes

Graveside services for Topaz Harrell Hughes, 88, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bryan City Cemetery.
The Rev. J.W. Kornegay of the First Baptist Church in Bryan will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Mrs. Hughes died Wednesday in San Jose, Calif.
She was born in Groom, Texas, and lived in Bryan since 1946. She volunteered with the Boy and Girl Scouts, P.T.A., and operated the “Clothes Closet” for 25 years. She served on the boards of many local agencies, including Planned Parenthood, MHMR and Salvation Army, served as board president of the Girls Club, Child Welfare and the State Child Welfare Board and served as secretary to the Twin City Mission Board. She was a charter member of the Brazos Valley Rehab Center and was involved with the Brazos Valley Development Council.
She directed bingo for the residents of Sherwood while serving as president of volunteers and served as chairwoman of the Advisory Committee of the Area Agency on Aging and was appointed to the Citizens Advisory Council Committee at the state level. She was retired as executive director emeritus from the Brazos Valley Community Council after serving 30 years and was named Brazos County’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year in 1982. She was also a two-time recipient of the Paul Harris Fellowship Award. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryan and was a member of the Luis Sunday school class.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Frank Hughes.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Mary Hughes of Houston, John and Cynthia Hughes of Bryan and Donald Hughes and Linda Sleeper of Dallas; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ed Nefflen of San Jose, Calif.; a brother and sister-in-law, Glynn D. and Sybil Harrell of Groom; a brother-in-law, Don Hughes of Amarillo; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Daniel Lee Pugh Ellis

BEDIAS — Services for Daniel Lee Pugh Ellis, 20, of Pollok, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pine Prairie Free Will Baptist Church in Huntsville.
Bro. Cloyce Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Prairie Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Bedias.
Mr. Ellis died Friday.
He was born in Houston.

Mary Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Harris

ROCKDALE — Private family services for Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Harris, 74, of Rockdale will be at a later date.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mrs. Harris died Saturday at the Manor Oaks Nursing Home in Rockdale.
She was born in Fort Worth and lived in Rockdale since 1976. She formerly lived in Houston and was a bookkeeper and made craft frogs. She attended school in Rockdale.
She was preceded in death by a son, Tim Harris.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Betty Harris of Dallas and Mike and Lorrie Harris of Rockdale; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Buzz Juarez of Fort Worth and Janette and Skip Cross of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a daughter-in-law, Judy Harris of Houston; a sister, Dr. Lucile Estell of Rockdale; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was born in Bryan and was a member of Old Elam Baptist Church.
Survivors include his parents, Harold Huffman and Melanie Thompson, both of Hearne, a brother, Rakeznick Huffman of Hearne; a sister, Alexis Huffman of Hearne; grandparents, Harold and Ophelia Dunn of Hearne and Raymond and Betty Thompson of Bryan; and great-grandmother, Elnora Huffman of Calvert.

Mrs. Willis died Thursday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Dallas and lived in Bryan for 32 years. She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles F. “Butch” and Kathy Willis and Garry L. and Jan Willis, all of Bryan; a daughter, Cheryl D. Willis of Bryan; a brother and sister-in-law, John W. and Blanca Vercher of El Paso; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Nola Louise Sneed of Bryan and Kathryn and Charles Dorsz of Spring, Texas; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Services for Doug Vice, 45, of Rogers, Ark., were Saturday at the Fellowship Bible Church Family Center in Lowell, Ark.
The Rev. Robert Cupp, Mickey Rapier and Russell Dorch officiated. Burial was in the Upper Clifty Cemetery in Clifty, Ark.
Arrangements were under the direction of Stockdale Funeral Services of Bentonville.
Mr. Vice died Tuesday in a Bentonville health care facility.
He was born in Bryan and was a member of Fellowship Bible Church. He was a pawn broker and owned a business in Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Hudgins Vice; three sons, Kelby Vice, Dustin Vice and Robert Hudgins, all of Rogers; a daughter, Brandie Ferguson of Rogers; a brother, David Stephens of San Francisco; two sisters, Debra McGinty of North Zulch and Linda Collins of Liberty Hill; his parents, John and Irma Williams Vice of North Zulch; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blackmon died Saturday at her home.
She was born in McKenzle, Ala., and lived in Bryan for two years. She was a retired C.P.A. and was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary in Mobile, Ala.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, John and Mari Jo Blackmon of Crosby, Texas, James and Marsha Blackmon of San Antonio and Dennis and Gail Blackmon of Greenville, Ala.; a daughter, Delilah “Dee” Blackmon of Bryan; three brothers, Henry Gilmore, Malvin Gilmore and Carl Gilmore, all of Alabama; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary and Massey Mosley, Myrtle Hensley, Jeanette Bennett and Sue Parker, all of Alabama; her foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Woodridge; and eight grandchildren.
