VICTORIA — Services for Ira “Judge” Galbreath, 74, of Victoria and formerly of Rockdale are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Rockdale.
Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Rev. Doug Springer of Rockdale Full Gospel Church will officiate.
Mr. Galbreath died Wednesday in the Detar Hospital in Victoria. Born in Milano, he was an attendant and mechanic at a Texas Service Station in Rockdale. He had been an independent carpenter contractor and later helped at Midway Grocery in Rockdale.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Alford Galbreath.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Lilly Ann and Clifford Noey of Lubbock, Judy Kay and John Wayne Wells of Dermott, Ark., and Mary Francis and Ricky Ortiz of Victoria; his sister, Maudie Eledge of Irving; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Oscar Leon Wade Sr.

HEARNE— Services for Oscar Leon Wade Sr., 31, of Hearne are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Old Elam Baptist Church in Hearne.
The Rev. H.R. Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in the Greater Riverside Cemetery in Hearne.
Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Funeral Home in Marlin.
Mr. Wade died Sunday.
He was born in Gary, Ind., and was employed by Texas A&M University.
Survivors include his wife, Julie Wade of Gary; two sons, Arlen R. Wade of Gary, Ind., and Oscar Wade Jr. of Franklin; a daughter, JaTerika A. Wade-Owens of Bryan; a brother, Jimmie Wade IV of Hearne; a sister, Felicia Wade Flowers of Hearne; his parents, Jimmie III and Ruby Wade of Hearne; his mother-in-law, Arlene Taliaferro of Gary; grandparents, Jimmie Ruth and Roosevelt Fuller of Hearne and Jimmie Jr. and Iris Wade of Houston; and a host of relatives and friends.
Theresa M. ‘Pat’ Opersteny

Services for Theresa M. “Pat” Opersteny, 83, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Monsignor John McCaffrey will officiate. Entombment will be at the Monsignor Gleissner Mausoleum.
Visitation will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Mrs. Opersteny died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Barling, Ark., and lived in Bryan since 1945. She was a homemaker and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter C. Opersteny.
Survivors include a son, Billy Opersteny of Bryan; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Charlene and Eddie Luna of College Station, Kathy and Ron Hathcox of Bryan and Darlene McVey of Madisonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Clara Maledon of Peoria Heights, Ill.; four sisters and a brother-in-law, Frances Weir of Springfield, Pa., Alice LaBrosse of Cumberland, R.I., Anna Turner of Prairie Grove, Ark., and Irma and Shirney Altstatt of Fort Smith, Ark.; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edward and Laura Opersteny of College Station; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

James Leslie Hairston

HEARNE — Memorial services for James Leslie Hairston, 63, of Austin are set for 10 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Hearne.
The Rev. Larry Blackmon of the First Baptist Church will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.
Mr. Hairston died Monday in the South Austin Hospital.
He was born in Milam County and lived in Austin for many years. He was retired from Texaco and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hearne. He was a past member of the Texas National Guard in Bryan and served in the 49th Armored Division at Fort Polk, La., in 1962.
Survivors include his wife, Eva Jewel Pearson of Austin; a son and daughter-in-law, James Timothy and Jenna Hairston of Hearne; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Roger Odell and Marien Pearson of Round Rock, Texas, and Larry Owen and Wanda Pearson of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Hairston and Andrew Faggard of Tyler; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Anita Jewel and Bryan Farr of Liberty Hill, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane Hairston and Jack Mathews of Hearne; his mother, Frankie Loraine Hairston of Hearne; and four grandchildren.

ALBEMARLE, N.C. — Services for Pauline James Howell, 88, of Norwood, N.C., are set for 4 p.m. Monday at the First Presbyterian Church in Norwood.
The Revs. Ladson Brearley and Robert Forward will officiate. Burial will be in Norview Gardens.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood.
Mrs. Howell died Friday in Stanley Memorial Hospital in Albemarle.
She was born in New Baden and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Norwood First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Lowder Howell.
Survivors include a son, Marshall Howell of Norwood; a daughter, Mary Frances McCall of Charlotte, N.C.; a sister, Modell Tacy of Independence, Mo.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Ms. Wade died Tuesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Benchley.

Memorial services for Rebecca L. Dent Lopez, 57, of Bryan are set for 3 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church in Bryan.

Mrs. Lopez died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Colorado Springs, Colo., and lived in Bryan 10 years. She was a student at Blinn College and was a Protestant.
Survivors include her husband, Alberto Lopez Ruiz of Oaxaca, Mexico; a son, Alberto Francisco Lopez Dent of Oaxaca; a daughter, Ana Maria Lopez Dent of Oaxaca; a brother, Skip Dent of Bryan; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Aeria Etta Hassell Dent, Danm Van Houten Kinslow and Lavinia and Mike LaRue Boecker, all of Bryan; and two grandchildren.

Mrs. Mynar died Friday.

She was born in Caldwell and was a housewife and a Baptist.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and John Harlan of Hearne; a brother and sister-in-law, C.D. and Helen Greene of Caldwell; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Irene Greene and F.W. Hordge, Esther Greene Banks and Ernestine Greene Wilkerson, all of Houston; a brother-in-law, T.H. Wilson of Houston; a sister-in-law, Cornelia Greene of Houston; and 14 grandchildren.

Alma Rust Wegner

BRENHAM — Services for Alma Rust Wegner, 92, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill. The Rev. Dr. Sue Beall will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wegner died Saturday at her family’s home.
She was born in the Gay Hill, Texas, community.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Patsy Wegner of Colorado and Alfred and Jo Ella Wegner of Clay; five daughters and two sons-in-law, Ellen and Gus Draeger of Burton, Weda and Phillip Campbell of Huntsville, Edna McElvey of Austin, Esther Webb of Lytton Spring, Texas, and Jean Wegner of Brenham; a brother, Herbert Rust of Brenham; 16 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
