HILLTOP LAKES A memorial service for Paul Bryan Schroeter, 66, of Hilltop Lakes is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hilltop Lakes Chapel.
The Rev. Chuck Isbell of Hilltop Lakes Inter-Denominational Chapel will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Mr. Schroeter died Friday.
He was born in Hereford, Texas, and lived in Hilltop Lakes the past four years and previously lived in Lubbock. He worked at Stewart Title. He was a member of J.C.s Hereford and the Kickapoo Club at Hilltop Lakes.
Survivors include a daughter, Julie Kidwill of Richland Hills, Texas; two brothers, Alex Schroeter of Hilltop Lakes and Ed Schroeter of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

MADISONVILLE Graveside services for Devin Devontra Wheaton, 1 month, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the West End Cemetery in Madisonville.
The Rev. Jessie Sandles will officiate. Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to the time of services at Madisonville Funeral Home.
Devin was born on Jan. 10 in Bryan and died on Saturday in Madisonville.
Survivors include his father, Jerry Wheaton, and mother, Catina Tolliver, both of Madisonville; three sisters, Cadeshia Tolliver, and Martajaih and Ebony James, all of Madisonville; grandparents, Rena Tolliver of Madisonville, Joe Lotts of Houston, and Jerry and Kay Wheaton of Midway; great-grandparents, Helen Ray and Tut Wheaton of Madisonville and O.B. Tolliver of Los Angeles; eight aunts; seven uncles; and one cousin.
Mary Etta Robinson

Services for Mary Etta Robinson, 80, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. David Green will officiate. Burial will be in the Restever Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mrs. Robinson died Sunday at her home.
She was born in Sweetwater, Texas, and lived in Bryan since 1951. She served as rodeo secretary at the many rodeos produced by her late husband. She was very active in 4-H and FFA projects and programs. Mrs. Robinson was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cullen A. Robinson.Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Wesley and Betty Robinson of Bryan and Bobby and Ann Robinson of Jewett; a daughter, Nancy Robinson McCann of Bryan; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Wesley United Methodist Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
Joyce Moore Frede

NAVASOTA Services for Joyce Moore Frede, 71, of Navasota are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
The Rev. Ross Poteet of First United Methodist Church of Navasota and the Rev. Bob Shields of Trinity Methodist Church of Beaumont will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Frede died Sunday in Navasota.
She was born in Navasota and was a homemaker. Mrs. Frede was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry H. and Louise Moore; and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Geraldine Moore.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Marcy Frede of Navasota; a daughter and son-in-law, Lou and Ronnie Podraza of Navasota; two aunts, Ruth Moore and Bernadine Moore, both of Navasota; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Maurine Kelsey Wiese

CALVERT Services for Maurine Kelsey Wiese, 89, of Calvert and Rosebud are set for 3 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Calvert.
The Revs. Jerry Bawcom, Brent Eaton, John Wood and Joe Weldon Bailey will officiate. Burial will be in the Calvert City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church of Rosebud.
Mrs. Wiese died Sunday at her home in Rosebud.
She was born in Blooming Grove, Texas. She graduated from Baylor University in 1933, where she met her husband of 54 years, Walter Clifford Wiese Jr. She was an organist and Sunday school teacher at First Baptist Church of Calvert. She was also involved in various womens and civic organizations.
Mrs. Wiese served on the Alumni Board of Baylor University and was past president of the Baylor University Heritage Club. She and her husband alternated serving on the board of trustees at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor from 1964 until 2000.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Clifford Wiese; a brother, Sidney Kelsey; and a brother-in-law, Cooper Wiese.
Survivors include two daughters, Anne Halbert of Rosebud and Maurina Corley of Cameron; two sons and daughters-in-law, Calvin and Becky Wiese of Robinson and Walter Clifford III and Sheila Wiese of Calvert; two sisters-in-law, Frances Wiese of Calvert and Mary Beth Holt and her husband, Hulen, of Baytown; 12 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Maj. Gen. James L. Brown

SAN MARCOS Services for Maj. Gen. James L. Brown (U.S.A.F. Ret.), 73, of San Marcos are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Johns Catholic Church in San Marcos.
The Revs. Ignacio Blanco and Daryl Olds will officiate. Burial will be at 1:15 p.m. at Fort Sam Houston Cemetery in San Antonio.
A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pennington Funeral Home in San Marcos.
Gen. Brown died Tuesday in San Marcos.
He was born in Huntsville and attended Paschal High School in Fort Worth. He graduated from the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (now Texas A&M University) in 1950 with a bachelor of science degree in geology. He received a master of science degree in public administration from George Washington University. He was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force and graduated from Air Command and Staff College as well as Air War College.
Gen. Brown served in the Korean War as an F-80 fighter pilot with the 8th Fighter Bomber Group and flew more than 100 combat missions. He was a flight instructor for several years before being assigned to intelligence duties for Strategic Air Command Headquarters in Omaha, Neb. He transferred to Andersen Air Base, Guam, as deputy chief of staff for intelligence, and flew bombing missions over Vietnam during the war.
He returned to the United States in 1971 and served as director of intelligence applications in Washington, D.C. He was assigned to serve as deputy chief of staff for intelligence at SAC headquarters until becoming director of intelligence for Headquarters U.S. European Command, Stuggart-Vaihingen, Germany. He then served as assistant chief of staff for U.S. Air Force Intelligence until a 1980 promotion to assistant director for the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Defense Intelligence Agency, Washington, D.C.
Gen. Brown, a command pilot, received numerous decorations and awards, including the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal and Air Force Outstanding Unit Award ribbon.
Gen. Brown retired to San Marcos in 1982. He volunteered for at least ten years as the business manager at St. Johns Catholic Church, where he was a member. He also volunteered with Meals on Wheels.
Gen. Brown was preceded in death by his daughter, Ann Brown.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Diane Brown; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Julie Brown of Austin and Tom and Susan Brown of San Marcos; three daughters, Shawn Saunders of New Braunfels, Mary Brown of Austin and Kelly Brown of Bryan; a sister, Joan Ledbetter of Atlanta; eight grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Karen Binford Boring

She was born in California and was a homemaker and a member of Easterly Baptist Church in Franklin.
Survivors include her husband, Arlee Boring of Bryan; two sons, Christopher and Seth Boring, both of Bryan; four daughters and a son-in-law, Misty Keefer, Melanie Keefer and Shawna Boring, all of Bryan, and Reanna and Eddie Berry of Bastrop; two sisters, Sheri and Dee Bynam of Bryan; four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ronnie Binford of Bryan, Fred and Patty Lockwood of California, Jerry and Ginger Lockwood of Houston and Brad Binford of Bryan; her father, Ross Binford of Bryan; and two grandchildren.

NAVASOTA Graveside services were Tuesday for Talbert Lee Meadows, 83, of Navasota at the East Mount Cemetery in Greenville under the auspices of The Greenville Masonic Lodge 335 A.F.&A.M. Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Meadows died Sunday at College Station Medical Center.
He was born in Bronson, Texas, and lived in Navasota for six years. He was a retired pipeline pumper.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sallie LaVerne Meadows.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and George Hall of Navasota; a brother, Sammy Meadows of Longview; and one grandchild.

Mrs. Wright died Monday at Regent Center in San Antonio.
She was born in Brazos County, and was a retired insurance clerk for Texas Utilities and a member of Alexander United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, William P. Wright Jr.

She was born in the Shiloh community in Williamson County and was a dietitian at the Austin State Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Hudson Harris.
