BRENHAM Services for Elma Jahnke Jaster, 88, of Brenham are set for 4 p.m. Sunday at Salem Lutheran Church in Salem.
The Rev. Bill Derrick will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
Arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mrs. Jaster died Thursday in Brenham.
She was born in the Salem community of Washington County and was the retired co-owner of Ottos Cafι in Brenham. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Otto Jaster.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and Beverly Jaster of Brenham and Glenn and Vinnie Rene Jaster of Independence; a sister, Norma Schaefer of Cleburne, Texas; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Salem Lutheran Church or to a charity of choice.

Mr. Johnson died Sunday.

CALDWELL Services for Else Rosas, 64, of Caldwell are set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Marys Catholic Church in Caldwell.
Monsignor Emilian Foltyn and the Rev. Dimitrij Colankin will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mrs. Rosas died Friday at her home.
She was born in Germany and lived in Texas for many years. She was a homemaker and was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
Survivors include her husband, Lupe Rosas of Caldwell; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Peter and Marie Wemmert of Whitehouse and Gene Love of Caldwell; a daughter and son-in-law, Bernice and Herbert Lerche Jr. of Lexington; two brothers, Willie Wemmert and Franz Wemmert, both of Germany; a sister, Leoni Najar of Germany; and seven grandchildren.

CALDWELL Memorial services for Keith S. Strickland, 27, of Caldwell are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at the First Assembly of God Church in Caldwell.

Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mr. Strickland died Wednesday in Houston as the result of an auto accident.
He was born in Coos Bay, Ore., and was an industrial painter. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Nicole Strickland and Brooke Strickland, both of Bryan; his parents, Tim and Beverly Strickland of Coos Bay; his grandmothers, Addie Strickland of Caldwell and Jenny Abbott of Coos Bay; a sister, Angie Johnson of Coquille, Ore.; a nephew; and numerous other relatives.
Orval N. Thompson

Private memorial services for Orval N. Thompson, 87, of College Station will be held at a later date.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mr. Thompson died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Oregon and lived in College Station for four years, where he was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. A retired attorney, he was a past senator and representative from Oregon and was a partner in the Weatherford-Thompson law firm. He was also a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Thompson of College Station; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Dena Thompson of Portland, Ore.; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Jan and Dr. Fred Brossart of Bryan, Marion Wells of Portland, Perry and Richard Kneedler of Madison, Wis., and Kathleen and Norman Persons of Albany, Ore.; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Dorothy and Milton Chase and Eunice Arthur, all of Portland, and Alice Schlegel of Redding, Calif.; and 13 grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in his name to a charity of choice.

Services for Evelyn Mosley Cain, 60, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. David Murphy of Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Bryan City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. to noon Monday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan and from 1 p.m. to the time of the services Monday at the church.
Mrs. Cain died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Bryan and was a longtime resident of Athens. She was employed as office manager for Mutual of Omaha in Bryan. She served as past city manager of Athens and was an Athens reserve police officer. She was a member of the Texas Peace Officers Association in Athens and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Cain.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Renee Cain of College Station; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Duane Hill of Bryan; a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Bill Mosley of College Station; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Roy Marion of Bryan; and four grandchildren.

Sidney died Friday.

Survivors include his mother, Jacqueline Whitaker of Normangee; two sons, Michael Todd Whitaker of Bryan and Elias Whitaker of Rusk; a daughter, Heidi Whitaker of Rusk; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Rhonda Whitaker of Flynn; and a sister and brother-in-law, Sherry and Dewey Gibson of Hitchcock.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mr. Conner died Saturday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Bloomington, Ill., and was a retired machinist and warehouse manager for Keystone Valve Co. in Houston. He was a member of Fairbanks Lodge No. 1363.
Survivors include a son, Hank Conner of Houston; three daughters, Belinda Box of Lake Cypress Springs, Texas, Connie Conner of Gainesville, Fla., and Norma Reynolds of Caldwell; a brother, George Albert Conner of Houston; two sisters, Myra Fitzwater of Houston and Norma Pregent of Phoenix; and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Phillips died Sunday.
She was born in Huntington, Ind., and was a member of the Asbury Methodist Church in Jackson Township.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Claire Walter Jackson and Herchel G. Phillips; and a daughter, Marianna Strunk.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Jack Sullins of the Keith community; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a nephew.
