ROCKDALE Graveside services for C.C. Pounders, 72, of Springfield, Fla., are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Hugh Wilson Cemetery in Tanglewood, Texas.
The Rev. Calvin Springer of the Rockdale Full Gospel Church will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mr. Pounders died Sunday in a Panama City, Fla., hospital.
He was born in Tanglewood and lived in Florida for 10 months. He was retired after 45 years as a truck driver and formerly lived in Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Pounders of Panama City; two sons and daughters-in-law, Claude C. Jr. and Sonja Pounders of Panama City and William D. and Judith Pounders of Fairfield, Texas; two daughters, Wanda Sue Young Pounders of Groesbeck and Cynthia Kay Starkey of Abilene; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Doris L. Matthews

NAVASOTA Services for Doris L. Matthews, 68, of Richards are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
The Rev. Emily Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Richards.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Matthews died Thursday in Richards.
She was born in Groveton, Texas, and was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Matthews.
Survivors include a son, James Matthews of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Johanna and Johnny Youngblood of Richards; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Patti Vickery of Richards, a sister and brother-in-law, Dimple and Kenneth Roberts of Atascocita, Texas; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Stakes died Wednesday in Memorial Medical Center in Livingston.
She was born in Iola and was a member of the Livingston Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juel Stakes, and a stepdaughter, Wanda Adams.
Survivors include three sons and two daughters-in-law, Thomas Stakes of Houston, Robert and Dorothy Stakes of Centerville and Charles and Jan Stakes of Livingston; three daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and James Hickey of Houston, Diane and Robert Kimberlin of Livingston and Lisa and Eric Gaspard of Pineville, La.; a stepdaughter, Linda Pelham of Fort Worth; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

MALVERN, Ark. Services for Lisa Kay Brewer, 39, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern.
The Rev. Roy Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Rockport Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Miss Brewer died Friday.
She was born in Houston and was a 1994 graduate of Sam Houston State University. She was a teacher and attended Christ United Methodist Church in College Station.
Survivors include her mother, Billie Jean Brewer; a brother, David McKenzie Brewer of College Station; and numerous cousins.
J.W. Cook Sr.

MADISONVILLE Services for J.W. Cook Sr., 80, of North Zulch are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Willowhole Chapel in North Zulch.
The Revs. Paul Dickson and Joe Brady will officiate. Burial will be in the Willowhole Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Madisonville Funeral Home.
Mr. Cook died Friday at the Riverwood Healthcare Center in Madisonville.
He was born in Madison County and lived in North Zulch since 1983. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in North Zulch, where he was a deacon. He worked for Reed Roller Bit Company for 42 years and was on the board of directors of the Reed Employees Credit Union for 26 years before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Navy during World II and was a Mason since 1947. He raised cattle at his ranch.
Survivors include his wife, Ellouise Cook of North Zulch; a son, J.W. Cook Jr. of Austin; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Dr. Dennis Jones of Deer Park, Texas; a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and William Mitchell of Houston; his mother-in-law, Emilee Boswell; a brother-in-law, Pike Dyer; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Frances and Bill Cooley; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Carl Eugene Crider

NORMANGEE Private graveside services for Carl Eugene Crider, 77, of Rolla, Mo., are set for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee.
Bro. Bob Kristensen of Hilltop Lakes Chapel will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee.
Mr. Crider died Wednesday in Rolla.
He was born in Bland, Mo., and lived in Hilltop Lakes for several years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Crider.
Survivors include a son, David Crider of Pennsylvania; a sister, Ruth Schell of Rolla; three nieces; and three nephews.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Verna Stewart Dillingham

Services for Verna Stewart Dillingham, 92, of San Antonio are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
The Rev. Bill Wiman of the First Baptist Church in Bryan will officiate. Burial will be in the Bryan City Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dillingham died Saturday in San Antonio.
She was born in Pearl River County, Miss., and lived in Bryan from 1937 to 1997. She retired as a secretary in the Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. She was a member of the Social Order of the Beauceants, Masonic Order, in Bryan. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H.C. Dutch Dillingham.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Sara Martha and William Sheldon of San Antonio and Kay and James Shotwell of Colmesneil, Texas; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mike and Georgia Dillingham of Alice, Texas; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Heber T. Stewart of Temple; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
