HEARNE — Services for Lula Lawrence, 85, of Hearne are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Old Elam Baptist Church in Hearne.
The Rev. Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Callaway Cemetery in Sutton.
Arrangements are under the direction of Robertson Funeral Chapel in Hearne.
Mrs. Lawrence died March 1.
She was born in Robertson County and was a member of the Old Elam Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Georgia Lee Denmark of Hearne; and two granddaughters.
Ida Marie Niemann

FRANKLIN — Services for Ida Marie Niemann, 102, of Franklin are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in New Baden.
The Revs. Brent Ballew of New Baden and Britt Farmer of Franklin will officiate. Burial will be in the Franklin Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the time of services Saturday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
Mrs. Niemann died Thursday in Franklin.
She was born in Williamson County, attended Taylor School and was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Adolph Niemann; and a son, Alvin Niemann.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Rosalie and Earl Cazey of Franklin; two sons and three daughters-in-law, Arnold and Dorothy Niemann of Montgomery, Clarence and Annita Niemann of East Bernard and Sue Niemann of Franklin; 18 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

Charles Carroll Russell
March 19, 1930 — March 7, 2002
JACKSONVILLE, Texas — Graveside services for Charles Carroll Russell, 71, of Jacksonville are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the College Station Cemetery.
The Rev. Ted Eaton will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Boren-Conner Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
Mr. Russell died Thursday in the Tyler Hospital.
He was born in College Station and lived in Jacksonville since 1971. He graduated from Corpus Christi High School and Texas A&M University. He was a member of the Forest Park Baptist Church in Corpus Christi and served in the U.S. Navy as a submarine officer during the Korean War. He was retired from Cherokee Precinct. No. 4.
He was preceded in death by a son, Andy Russell.
Survivors include his wife, LaNelle Russell of Jacksonville; a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Angela Russell of Jacksonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Roxanne and Roy Starr of Flint; a sister, Ethel Roberts of Laneville; and three grandchildren.
Ben Salas

BAY CITY, Texas — Services for Ben Salas, 89, of Pledger are set for 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bay City.
The Rev. Casey Jarzombek will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.
A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Sunday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.
Mr. Salas died Thursday.
He was born in Schulenburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosie Salas; and a son, Carl Salas.
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Rosemary Prochaska, Sandra and Allen Stavinoha and Elaine and Willie Broll, all of Wharton; four sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Wayne and Carolyn Salas of Lufkin, Paul and Joyce Salas of Bryan, Mike and Lynette Salas of Pledger and Ray and Peggy Salas of Boling; 21 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Lillie Stark Sanders

BURTON — Services for Lillie Stark Sanders, 82, of Burton are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton.
The Rev. Glen Schoeneberg will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
Mrs. Sanders died Friday in Brenham.
She was born in Burton and was a retired homemaker. She was educated in the Burton schools and was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Curtis Sanders.
Survivors include a nephew, Ronnie Gunn of Groves; and two nieces, Ginger Puckett of Kountz and Rosetta Stark Musick of Tomball.
Memorials may be made to St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton.
Rosie Jakubik Spriggs

TEXAS CITY — Services for Rosie Jakubik Spriggs, 86, of Texas City are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Snook Brethren Church.
The Rev. Joseph Polasek will officiate. Burial will be in the Snook Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque.
Mrs. Spriggs died Thursday in Texas City.
She was born in Snook and lived in Texas City since 1998. She retired in 1977 as supervisor in the policy department of the American National Insurance Company. She was a member of the S.P.J.S.T.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, William J. Sebesta and Hiram Spriggs; and a son, Jody Sebesta.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Lorene and Sherwood Rollish of Temple, Anita and Jim Hunt of Fort Worth and Rosalee and Mac McGaffey of La Marque; a son, Willie T. Sebesta of Anzac, Alberta, Canada; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Lillian Virginia Sword

BEDIAS — Services for Lillian Virginia Sword, 82, of Bedias were held Friday at the Bedias Baptist Church.
The Rev. Jerald Brown of the Bedias Baptist Church officiated. Burial was in the Baptist Cemetery.
Arrangements were under the direction of Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Bedias.
Ms. Sword died Wednesday.
She was born in Avery and was a member of the Bedias Baptist Church and the Dizzie-Dozen 42 Domino Club.
Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Bobby Dorian Nevill of Taft, Texas, Billy and Ruth Nevill of Houston and Kenneth Wesley Nevill of Huntsville; a daughter, Barbara Love of Bedias; a brother and sister-in-law, Willis Dan and Glenda Goodrich of Riverside, Texas; a sister, Edna Ruth McNeill of Riverside; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dolores E. Venegas

Memorial services for Dolores E. Venegas, 65, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Daniel & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Bryan.
Mrs. Venegas died Wednesday in the College Station Medical Center.
She was born in Dallas and was a longtime resident of Bryan. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters-in-law, Gilbert Dwayne Venegas and Raymond L. and Linda Venegas, all of Houston, and Dennis Michael Venegas and Jesse A. Jr. and Alice Venegas, all of Bryan.
