MILLICAN Services for Melvin Butch Carey, 67, of Millican are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at A&M Church of Christ in College Station.
The Rev. Dan Bates will officiate. Burial will be in the Wheat Cemetery in Millican.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lindley-Robertson-Holt Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mr. Carey died Tuesday in Las Vegas.
He was born in Harris County and lived in Millican most of his life. He was a truck driver for Alenco and a member of the Adam Royer Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Ma Carey of Millican; three sons and daughters-in-law, Donald and LeAnne Carey, Dennis and Andy Carey and Gary and Desiree Carey, all of Millican; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Lindra and Ricky Blum of College Station, Arlene and Mike Townsend of Pineville, Mo., and Marilyn and Jeff McWhorter and Melissa Carey, all of Millican; three brothers, Clyde Carey of Glen St. Mary, Fla., James Carey of Millican and Lonie Carey of Madisonville; three sisters, Ruby Joy of Roosevelt and Juanita Jones and Mary Martin, both of Bryan; 19 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Opal Beatrice Hillin McCoy

FOREST GROVE Services for Opal Beatrice Hillin McCoy, 97, of Forest Grove are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Forest Grove Christian Church. Burial will be in the Forest Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home.
The Rev. Chuck Salmon will officiate.
Mrs. McCoy died Sunday at the Richards Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Cameron and was a homemaker. Mrs. McCoy was a member of the Forest Grove Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Edward McCoy.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Nell McCoy and Scott Carson, of Middleton, Tenn., and Billie Jean McCoy Kornegay of Fort Worth; a daughter-in-law, Melinda McCoy of Naches, Wash.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

John Greenberg

PLANTERSVILLE A memorial service for John Greenberg, 79, of Plantersville is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mr. Greenberg died Wednesday in Bryan.
He was born in Port Arthur. Mr. Greenberg was a retired plumber for the Navasota Independent School District and a member of the VFW Post #4006 in Navasota. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Marty Greenberg of Plantersville; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick and Lena Hughes of Lampasas and Bob Greenberg of Houston; five daughters and three sons-in-law, Kathy and Marshall Jackson of Bryan, Tina and Mike Keathley of Bremond, Vera and Johnny Williams of Huntsville, Carol Crow of Houston and Linda Evans of Anderson; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives.

Lewis Lew Irwin

ROCKDALE Services for Lewis Lew Irwin, 79, of Rockdale are set for 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale. Burial will be in the Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Brother Russell Briley of Murray Street Church of Christ will officiate.
Mr. Irwin died Wednesday at the V.A. Hospital in Temple.
He was born in Jersey Shore, Pa. and lived in Rockdale for the past 17 years. He was a railroad engineer for Sharon Steel in Farrell, Pa.
Mr. Irwin was a member of the Murray Street Church of Christ in Rockdale and was a veteran of World War II, serving in the 254th Field Artillery Battalion of the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Opal Irwin of Rockdale; two sons, Douglas W. Irwin of Indiana, Pa., and Robert D. Irwin of Missoula, Mont.; a brother, Edward Irwin of Haliday, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Mrs. Mallard died Wednesday at Grimes-St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born in Madison County. She was a retired school teacher and member of First Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Otis Fuqua and Hammond Mallard.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Jean LeFevre of Navasota; and a sister, Mary L. Jenkins of Houston.
