CALDWELL — A Mass for Vita Maldonado, 79, of Caldwell is set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Caldwell. Monsignor Emilian Foltyn will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
A wake is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Maldonado died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Rockdale and was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Genaro Maldonado.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Lupe and Linda Maldonado of Missouri City, Texas, and Mac and Sylvia Maldonado of Plano, Texas; two daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Rick Meyer of Ellington, Conn., and Bernadette and Frank Bruns of Medfield, Mass.; four brothers, Manuel Olivarez of Littlefield, Texas, Julian Olivarez and Martin Olivarez, both of Caldwell, and Ezekiel Olivarez of Waxahachie, Texas; three sisters, Refugia “Cuca” Rodriguez of Chicago, Aurelia Orozco and Carmen Rosas, both of Bryan; and nine grandchildren.
Maria Trinidad Rodriquez

GALVESTON — Graveside services for Maria Trinidad Rodriquez, 62, of Galveston are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Jose Cemetery in Hearne. The Rev. Scott Mikkelson of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hearne will officiate.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Rodriquez died Monday at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.
She was born in Ennis, Texas, and was a Catholic.
Survivors include three sons, Benito Vallejo of Houston, Robert Rodriquez of Norfolk, Va., and Rudy Rodriquez of Galveston; two daughters, Elizabeth Kleins of College Station and Rebecca Rodriquez of Houston; a brother, Joe Contreras of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Lupe C. Ayala of Chesapeake; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Billy Scott Gorney

WILLIAM PENN — Services for Billy Scott Gorney, 31, of William Penn are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Salem Lutheran Church in Whitehall, Texas. The Rev. Wayne Schumpe will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mr. Gorney died Monday in Navasota.
He was born in Brenham and was a mechanic for Camp Allen. Mr. Gorney was a member of Salem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie Gorney of William Penn; and his parents, Leon and Barbara Gorney of Navasota.
Memorials may be made to the Salem Lutheran Church.
Jim Edge
Feb. 21, 1907 — April 23, 2002
Services for Jim Edge, 95, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Hillier Funeral Home.
The Rev. Tim Owens of First Baptist Church in Bryan will officiate. Burial will be in the Bryan City Cemetery.
Mr. Edge died Tuesday at Crestview Retirement Community.
He was a lifelong resident of Brazos County and was a retired auto dealership owner and a member of the First Baptist Church in Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Edge.
Survivors include a brother, Drummond Edge of Temple; and two sisters, Gladys Landry of Bryan and Dorothy Moore of Temple.

CENTERVILLE — Memorial services for Pamela Ann Meadows, 45, her daughter, Lacey Ann Ammerman, 19, and her son, Brady Meadows Ammerman, 14, all of Leander are set for noon Saturday at the Leander High School Little Theater, 3301 S. Baghdad (off F.M. 1431) in Cedar Park, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walters Funeral Home in Centerville.
Pam Meadows, a middle school teacher in Leander, and her two children died Saturday as a result of an auto accident.
Survivors include Mrs. Meadows’ parents and her children’s grandparents, Tillman and Rene Meadows of Buffalo; and the children’s father, Mark Ammerman of Leander.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of their children and grandchildren to a worthy charity or church of the donor’s choice.

Lance died Wednesday.

Mrs. Edwards died Tuesday in Hillsboro.
She was born in West, Texas, and was a member of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joe E. Whortham. and her second husband, Earl Frederick Edward.
Survivors include a brother, W.W. Humphries of Bryan; sisters-in-law, Mrs. Aubry “Jessie” Humphries of Whitney, Texas, and Mrs. Morris “Claudia” Humphries of Wolf City, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 7:30 a.m. to the time of services Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Blazek died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was a lifelong resident of Burleson County and was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church and SPJST New Tabor Lodge #17.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Peggy Brinkman of Austin and Patsy and Jamie Langham of Caldwell; two brothers, Walter Green of Brenham and Alvin Green of McKinney, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass for Mary Lynn Schumann-George-Thompson, 56, of Bryan is set for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 12627 W. Bellfort, in Sugar Land. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at the Schulenburg City Cemetery in Schulenberg.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Brookside Funeral Home Cypress Creek at 9149 Hwy 6 North, in Houston.
Ms. Thompson died Tuesday.
She was born in Sugar Land and was a land surveyor for an oil and gas corporation. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, the Association of Former Students of Texas A&M, Amnesty International and the Democratic League of Women Voters.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen George Pariseau of Cypress; four sisters, Margaret Keith and Martha Kemp, both of Houston, Leigh McRae of Daytona Beach, Fla., and Karen Turner of Oegstgesst, the Netherlands; two brothers, Mark Schumann of Houston and Paul Schumann of Sugar Land; and two grandchildren.
