James Edwards Lewis Sr.

Services for the Rev. James Edwards Lewis Sr., 58, of Houston are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Revs. Craig Anderson of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and Billy Ray Murray Sr. of the New Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Wheelock Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Daniel & Son Funeral Home in Bryan, and from noon to the time of the services Wednesday at the church.
The Rev. Lewis died March 25 in St. Luke Hospital in Houston.
He was born in Bryan and lived in Houston for 28 years. He was a professional truck driver for Jetco Delivery Inc. He was a member and trustee of the New Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, where he also sang in the choir, was a deacon, church treasurer and associate pastor.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Rosie Lewis and Brenda Lewis; three sons, Joe Lee Lewis, Christopher Lewis and Baby Lewis.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Gilmore of Houston; three sons, James Lewis Jr., Rodrick Baskins and Jonathan Baskins, all of Houston; four daughters, Christmas Baskins, Theresa Baskins, Marzella Baskins and Donyea Gilmore, all of Houston; a brother, Clinton Lewis Jr. of Lawton, Okla.; two sisters, Mavis Evonne Goosby of Springfield, Ill., and Mavis Lavonne Harris-Hall of Bryan; his parents, Espanola P. Lewis of Bryan and Clinton Lewis Sr. of Los Angeles; 15 grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Bryan or the New Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in Houston.
Emma Lankford
May 11, 1913 — April 1, 2002
HEARNE — Services for Emma Lankford, 88, of Anahuac, Texas, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Heartfield Funeral Home in Hearne.
Deloris Hines will officiate. Burial will be in the Gause Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Lankford died Monday in Anahuac.
She was born in Gause and lived in Anahuac for a few years. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Euell Denson Lankford; and a son, Billy Ray Lankford.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Buell and Ruth Lankford of Baytown, Texas, and Edward and Gracie Lankford of Shepard, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Lankford of Sealy; three brothers, Daniel Mitchell of Hearne, Jessie Mitchell of Gause and Henry Mitchell of Orange, Texas; two sisters, Ida Barnett of Gause and Ella Louise Smith of Hix, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Harry Lowery
Aug. 9, 1952 — March 28, 2002
NAVASOTA — Services for Harry Lowery, 49, of Anderson are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Roans Prairie.
The Rev. Michael Wolfe Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in Kennard Cemetery in Anderson.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Jones Funeral Home in Navasota.
Mr. Lowery died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Grimes County and was a truck driver for an oil company.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann Lowery of Richards; a son, Cedrick Lowery of Navasota; a daughter, Sharrzion Renee Kilpatrick of Navasota; four brothers and a sister-in-law, Charlie Lowery and Norris and Eva Lowery, all of Navasota, Willie Lowery of Roans Prairie and Morris Lowery of Houston; a sister and brother-in-law, Denettee and John Finnie of Navasota.
Albert H. Moore
Aug. 30, 1925 — March 31, 2002
SOMERVILLE — Services for Albert H. Moore, 76, of Somerville and formerly of La Porte, Texas, are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Somerville.
The Rev. Kenneth Klimple will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery with military honors conducted by the members of VFW Post No. 4458 of Caldwell.
Visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m., and from 8:30 a.m. to the time of the services Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Moore died Sunday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Tampa, Fla., and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked for Shell Oil Company as an operations foreman for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Dollie Marie Parker Moore of Somerville; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Susan Moore of Houston; a brother, Raymond R. Moore of Tampa; four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Lonie Fair and Jim Parker, both of Somerville, Cecil and Judy Miller of Tyler, Barbara Parker of Houston and Daniel and Pegee Parker of La Porte; a grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lauren Christine Stacell Randall

Mrs. Randall died Saturday in Seton Medical Center in Austin.
She was born in Urbana, Ill., and was a homemaker and artist. She held a master’s of fine arts degree.

Robert Randall of Austin; a son, Dylan Randall of Austin; a daughter, Marian Randall of Austin; a brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Tamara Stacell of Missouri City, Texas; her mother, Gwen A. MADISONVILLE — Services for Nathal Alene Spillars, 80, of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Madisonville.

Mrs. Spillars died Saturday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Madison County. She was a member of the Miriam Sunday school class at the First Baptist Church and was a member of the AARP.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Spillars; and a son, William Kenneth Spillars.
Survivors include a daughter, Melba Gent of Spring, Texas; a daughter-in-law, Carol Spillars of Madisonville; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services for James “Panhandle” Wilson, 67, of Snook are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Dabney Hill Baptist Church in Snook.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mr. Wilson died Sunday in Brenham.
He was born in Brazos County and was a retired laborer. He was a member of Dabney Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Thomas of Snook; two stepsons and a daughter-in-law, Eddie and Nesbae Thomas of Lyons and the Rev. Hillard Thomas of Snook; two daughters, Mildred Vurns of Houston and Shonta Washington of Snook; two stepdaughters and a son-in-law, Liza and Christopher Jackson of Somerville and Doris Thomas of Snook; three brothers, Robert Wilson of Branding, the Rev. George Wilson and Rudell Wilson, both of Bryan; a grandson; and seven stepgrandchildren.

BRENHAM — Services for Louise Marie Bolcerek, 74, of Brenham are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brenham. The Rev. Kevin Manion will officiate. Burial will be in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mrs. Bolcerek died Monday at Bluebonnet Hills Care Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Brenham. Mrs. Bolcerek attended St. Mary’s Parochial School and retired as a weaver from Brentex Mills.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Bolcerek.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Loewe of Brenham; four brothers-in-law, Isidore Kubeczka and Zike Kominczak, both of Houston, and John Bolcerek and Paul Bolcerek, both of Brenham, and Zike Kominczak; and a sister-in-law, Wanda Kominczak of Houston.
