BURTON — Services for Alvina Louise Ella Bertha Finke Wickel, 90, of Burton are set for 2 p.m. Monday at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Burton.
The Rev. Glen Schoeneberg will officiate. Burial will be in the LaBahia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton.
Mrs. Wickel died Friday at her home.
She was born in Washington County and attended Boundary School in Washington County. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ and the Church Sewing Circle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert John Wickel; and a son, Duwayne Wickel.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Dotty Wickel and Jerry and Jolene Wickel, all of Burton; a daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Willie Schnell of Burton; 18 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the St. John’s United Church of Christ Building Fund.
Edna Matejowsky
March 4, 1905 — Nov. 15, 2002
ROCKDALE — Services for Edna Matejowsky, 97, of Little Rock, Ark., are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
The Rev. Paul Kethley of St. John’s United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Somerville.
Visitation will be from noon to the time of the services Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Matejowsky died Friday in Little Rock.
She was born in Milano and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore A. Matejowsky.
Survivors include a daughter, Billie Bridges of Little Rock; three sisters, Ila Mae Lee of San Antonio, Lillian Zarnicki and Martha Newman, both of Milano; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Jannette Godfrey
June 9, 1911 — Nov. 17, 2002
Services for Jannette Godfrey, 91, of College Station are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the A&M Methodist Church in College Station.
The Revs. Jerry Neff and Bob Waters of A&M United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the College Station Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station and from 1 p.m. to the time of services Tuesday at the church.
Mrs. Godfrey died Sunday at her home.
She was born in Osceola, Texas, and lived in College Station since 1950. She taught school for 22 years, starting at a three-room schoolhouse in Woodrow, Texas, and retired from the College Station school district. She was a member of A&M United Methodist Church and was a volunteer with the Sunshine Ladies at the College Station Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis L. Godfrey.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy Godfrey of Abilene; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary Francis Moss

FRANKLIN — Services for Mary Francis Moss, 78, of Wheelock are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin.
Dale Wells of Elliott Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Wheelock Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Mrs. Moss died Monday at her home.
She was a lifelong resident of Robertson County and attended Franklin schools, McKenzie Baldwin Business School and LVN school. She was retired as a nurse after 40 years of service. She was a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Moss.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Dolly and James Deal and Billie Moss, all of Wheelock; two sisters, Ruby Timmons of Colorado and Betty Sue Lee of Franklin; two brothers, Claude Ramsey of Calvert and Archie Lee Ramsey of Hearne; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
William Ervin ‘Bluey’ Harrison Jr.

Services for William Ervin “Bluey” Harrison Jr., 56, of Arlington are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the G.W. Tabernacle building in Bryan.
The Rev. Hershel Goodman of Morning Star Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mr. Harrison died Friday in San Antonio.
He was born in Bryan and lived in Arlington three years. He was a driver for Greyhound Bus Co. He received an associate’s degree from Los Angeles City College and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his fiancée, Patricia Gadson of Arlington; two daughters, Angela Champagne Harrison and Tiffany Lorraine Harrison, both of Fontana, Calif.; three brothers, Scott Harrison of Bryan, Winston Harrison of Inglewood, Calif., and Homer Harrison of Long Beach, Calif.; a sister, Lyndee Boyland of North Richland Hills, Texas; his mother, Josephine Harrison of Bryan; a grandson; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mary E. Friedrick
October 22, 1920 – November 17, 2002
Mary E. Friedrick, 80, of Cedar Park, died Sunday night at a local hospital.
She was born in Pittsburgh PA on October 22, 1920. After graduating high school, she went into nursing school and served in the Army Nurse Corps in the Philippines during WWII with the rank of 1st Lieutenant. After WWII, on May 21, 1947, she married John Friedrick. They went on to have 8 children. She worked as a nurse at St. Francis and John J. Kane hospitals between the years of 1946 -1979.
They moved to Snook TX in 1979 and she worked as a lab technician at Texas A&M University. She retired while living in Snook. They moved to Cedar Park in 2001 where she resided until her death on November 17, 2002.
She was a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, sister and aunt.
She has survived by her husband, 8 children, 22 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, 2 brothers and 1 sister. The viewing will be held from 12 pm to 8 pm, Wednesday, November 20, at All Faiths Funeral Home, 8507 N. IH 35 in Austin Texas. The service will be held at 10 am, Thursday, November 21, at Church of The Hills, 3502 Hatch Rd., in Cedar Park.
Robert Franklin Scott Jr.

A memorial service for Robert Franklin Scott Jr., 60, of College Station is set for 1 p.m. Friday at Peace Lutheran Church.
The Rev. Craig Borchart will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Callaway-Jones Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mr. Scott died Friday at College Station Medical Center.
He was born in Buras, La., and lived in the Bryan-College Station area since 1953. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin High School in Bryan and attended Blinn College and Texas A&M University.
Survivors include his wife, Helen B. Scott of College Station; a sister, Gail Corbin of Las Vegas; and numerous nephews.
Florine L. Glowski
June 9, 1915 — Nov. 19, 2002
BREMOND — Services for Florine L. Glowski, 87, of Bremond are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond.
The Rev. Celso Yu will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bremond.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bremond Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:15 p.m.
Mrs. Glowski died Tuesday at Falls Community Hospital in Marlin.
She was a lifelong resident of Bremond. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bremond.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Angeline Czajkoski of Bremond and Bruno and Verna Czajkoski of Houston; and a sister, Gertrude Colgin of St. Helena, Calif.
B.J. ‘Buck’ Zubik
Aug. 14, 1905 — Nov. 18, 2002
Services for B.J. “Buck” Zubik, 97, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan.
Monsignor John McCaffrey of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan and the Rev. Michael Sis of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in College Station will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery in Bryan.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Mr. Zubik died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in La Grange and lived in Bryan for 92 years. He was retired from the firm of Zubik and Sons Military Tailors and Suppliers of Northgate in College Station. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan and the K.J.T.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances A. Zubik.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Jerry Dusek of Bryan; a brother, Jerome “Jack” Zubik of Bryan; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; one stepgreat-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph School Trust Fund or to the St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund.
