Services for Crystal Lynn Hall, 19, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. W.C. Davis of Munger Avenue Baptist Church in Dallas will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Ms. Hall died Friday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was a lifelong resident of Bryan and graduated from Bryan High School in 2002. She was a student at Blinn College and was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, where she was director of the youth choir. She was former president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was former president of Blinn Ethics Student Organization.
Survivors include her parents, Edward Sr. and Marsha Hall of Bryan; a brother, Edward Hall Jr. of Bryan; a sister, Tanisha Hall of Bryan; and her grandmothers, Frances Collins and Rosa Hall, both of Bryan.
Memorials may be made to the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church Youth Department.
Billie J. Popham Mable

Services for Billie J. Popham Mable, 55, of Allen Farm are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
The Revs. Mable and Murphy of Navasota will officiate. Burial will be in Wheat Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to the time of services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mable died Saturday in the College Station Medical Center.
She was born in Bryan and was a lifelong resident of the Brazos Valley. She was a commercial and residential cleaner. She was a Protestant.
Survivors include her husband, Stanley Mable of Allen Farm; four sons, Michael Martin Gilchrest and Timothy Martin Gilchrest, both of Waco, Hugh Richard “Ricky” Stewart Jr. of Bryan and Eric Jason Stewart of Somerville; a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Martin and Daniel Flores of Bryan; a daughter-in-law, Tia Stewart of Bryan; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Carlie and Cleo Bice of Anchor Point, Alaska, Charlie C. Jr. and Karen Bice, and Earl and Carla Bice, all of Bryan, and Richard Bice of Mason City, Iowa; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ruby Massingill of Sparaway, Wash., Joyce and Dale Pointer of Longview, Gloria and Nicolas “Stacio” Lara of Navasota, Geri Hahn and Mark Symons, and Tami Harmel, all of Millican; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Douglas Wayne Fischer

BRENHAM — Services for Douglas Wayne Fischer, 57, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
The Rev. Theresa Davis will officiate. Burial will be in the Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church Cemetery in Berlin.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Fischer died Sunday in Brenham.
He was born in Burton and was assistant manager of Tootsie’s Buy-N-Bye. He was a graduate of Brenham High School and was the former owner of Brenham Bowlerama.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, B.J. and Diane Fischer, and Bradley Fischer, all of Brenham.

Gary Lee Goad

BRENHAM — Services for Gary Lee Goad, 51, of Burton are set for 11 a.m. Thursday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mr. Goad died Friday in Brenham.
He was born in Flat River, Mo., and was employed at Blinn College. He served in the U.S. Army and Navy and was a member of the Burton Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Muryel Jo Coble Goad of Burton; two sons, Kevin and Kris Goad; three daughters, Kandy, Amanda and Ann; his father, John Goad of Dark Hills, Mo.; a brother, Clifford Goad; five sisters, Linda, Jeannie, Angie, Vickie and Sue; and his mothers-in-law, Pauline Thorn of Houston and Marie Pettus of Bacliff.
Claude William Miller

HILLTOP LAKES — Graveside services for Claude William Miller, 87, of Hilltop Lakes are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hopewell Cemetery in Normangee.
Bro. Bob Kristensen will officiate. Memorial services will follow at the Hilltop Lakes Chapel.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Little Funeral Home in Newcastle, Okla.
Mr. Miller died Friday at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma.
He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and was retired from Prudential Insurance.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Pat Miller of Bridgecreek, Okla., and Larry and Maggie Miller of Houston; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Phillip Miller of Ferndale, Wash., and William and Carol Miller of Cape May, N.J.; two sisters, Ethel Waring of Hillsboro, N.J., and Florence Lucas of San Jose, Calif.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Earl Schaffer

Earl Schaffer, 51, of Bryan died Saturday in Bryan.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home and no services are planned. His body was donated for medical study.
Mr. Schaffer was born in Mart and lived in Bryan 35 years.
Survivors include a son, Ricky Nelson Schaffer; two sisters, Enid Jimenez of Bryan and Becky Scott of Brownfield; and his mother, Eula Mae Schaffer of Bryan.
William H. ‘Buck’ Gilliland
March 30, 1924 — Dec. 16, 2002
LIBERTY COMMUNITY — Graveside services for William H. “Buck” Gilliland, 78, of the Liberty community are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Liberty Community Cemetery near Milano.
The Rev. Calvin Springer will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Mr. Gilliland died Monday at Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
He was born in Bell County. He retired in 1980 after 35 years as a terminal delivery man with the Texas Pipeline in Fort Worth. He then became a rancher.
Mr. Gilliland was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving as a sergeant. He belonged to Masonic Lodge No. 1331 in Fort Worth, V.F.W. Post No. 6525 in Rockdale and the Liberty Community Cemetery Association.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Gilliland of the Liberty community; three daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly and Bruce Frantz of Fort Worth, Kathy and Scott Avery of Scurry and Sherri and Mark Brantley of Milano; a brother, Troy Gilliland of the Liberty community; three sisters, Faye Davidson of Rockdale, Kaye Hairston of Houston and Estelle Hartley of Houston; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Melvin R. ‘Shorty’ Sheffield

Services for Melvin R. “Shorty” Sheffield, 74, of Bryan are set 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Deanville.
The Rev. Terry Bage will officiate.
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Vogelsang Cemetery in Milam County.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hillier Funeral Home and from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the church.
Mr. Sheffield died Monday at his home.
He was born in Normangee and had been a carpenter foreman for Brown & Root in Houston. He was retired from the MSC Bookstore.
He had served in the U.S. Army and was a corporal. Mr. Sheffield was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Sheffield of Bryan; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Mary Ann Sheffield of Austin; a brother and sister-in-law, Vivian C. “Skip” and Lucille L. Sheffield of Houston; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Glynora and Pete Pachal of Bryan and Maurine West of Bryan; a sister-in-law, Corena Sheffield of Bryan; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonita ‘Bonnie’ G. Horn

Services for Bonita “Bonnie” G. Horn, 82, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Friday at the A&M United Methodist Church.
Associate Pastor Lawrence Smith of A&M United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the College Station Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Hillier Funeral Home and from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the church.
Mrs. Horn died Monday at College Station Medical Center.
She was born in Sapulpa, Okla., and lived in Bryan since 1948. She was a retired registered nurse.
Mrs. Horn served on several committees at A&M United Methodist Church. She was a past president of the local Registered Nurses “R.N.” Club and the Campus Study Club, a former docent for the Fine Arts Group and a member of the A&M Women’s Club and OPAS Guild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis John Horn.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Colonel Louis and Margaret Horn of Virginia Beach, Va.; a daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Ronald Barnes of Houston; a brother and sister-in-law, Kestner and Myrle Graham of Winchester, Ky.; and two grandchildren.
