Walter Edward Willis
Funeral services for Walter Edward Willis, age 69 of Navasota, will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday at Nobles Funeral Chapel. The Dr. J. W. L. Adams will officiate. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel.
Mr. Willis died at 9:45 p.m. Thursday in College Station. He was born April 6, 1933 in Iola, the son of W. C. and Ila Faye (Upchurch) Willis. He was a Life Member of the Houston Livestock & Rodeo Association, a Life member of the Grimes County Fair Association and a member of the Grimes County Poor Boys.
Walter is survived by his wife of 29 years: Marie Rosales Willis of Navasota; daughter and son-in-law: Patricia and Randy Haynie of Richards; sons and daughter-in-law: Larry Willis, Barry and Donna Willis of Iola; sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruby and John Whitley of Navasota, Toni and Jack Sonora of League City, Lupe and Mike Romano of Katy, Maggie and LoLis Munos of Nuevo Laredo; brothers and sisters-in-law: W. C., Jr. and Helen Willis of Durant, Ok, Willie and Al Munos of Hempstead, Rafael & Nell Rosales of Brenham; grandchildren: Shauna Harrington of College Station, Patrick Willis of Anauac, Angie and Paul Fleener of Iola, Tracy Willis of Iola, Stephen Willis of Anauac, Stephen Keen of Iola, Shannon Haynie of Huntsville, Timothy Willis of Iola, Jimmy Keen of Iola, Jeromy and Brandi Keen of Amarillo, Jamie Dahman of Abilene, Eric Dahman of Tyler, Randy Ray of Iola; great grandchildren: Tristan Fleener and Slaydor Feener; the mother of his children: Margie Murchison Dressel of Iola, his 4 legged companion: Mikey; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Ollie V. Bell

CALDWELL — Services for Ollie V. Bell, 62, of Hearne are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Paul AME Church near Caldwell.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mrs. Bell died Wednesday at Hearne Health Care Center.
She was a native of Burleson County and lived in Belltown most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul AME Church.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Hamton and Mary Bell of Fort Worth, Frankie and Patricia Bell and Albert and Mary Ann Bell, all of Bryan, and Johnnie and Renee Bell of Caldwell; 32 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Ruby Mae Schlechte

Services for Ruby Mae Schlechte, 94, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Brethren Church of Bryan-College Station.
The Rev. Joseph Polasek of the Brethren Church of Bryan-College Station will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
Visitation will be from 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel College Station and from 10 a.m. to the time of the services Saturday at the church.
Mrs. Schlechte died Thursday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Sempronius in Austin County and attended Kenney schools. She worked in the school cafeteria at Cypress Fairbanks and was a charter member of the Cypress United Methodist Church, where she was a communion steward for many years.
Upon her retirement from the school system, she moved to Bellville, where she worked at a nursing home and was a former member of the Bellville United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women, the Bellville Garden Club and the AARP. She was also a member of Concordia Auxiliary, a German singing group. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Brethren Church of Bryan-College Station.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin G. Schlechte.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert E. and Iris Ann Schlechte of Bryan and J. LeRoy and Joyce Schlechte of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and the Rev. Dr. L.C. “Buddy” Johnson of Burnet; a sister-in-law, Fern Uechert of Austin; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the Brethren Church of Bryan-College Station, Crestview Retirement Community or to a charity of choice.
Roy T. Seymour

NAVASOTA — Graveside services for Roy T. Seymour, 78, of Navasota are set for 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Oakland Cemetery in Navasota.
The Rev. Ross Poteet will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mr. Seymour died Friday in Grimes St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born in Silver City, N.M., and was a welder for Cameron Iron Works. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, receiving a Purple Heart, and was a member of the World War II Memorial Foundation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Seymour.
Survivors include his companion, Julia Dickschat.
Alvin O. Thielemann

Services for Alvin O. Thielemann, 84, of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Sunday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in College Station.
The Rev. Eric Schaeffer of Our Saviors Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Rest-Ever Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan and from 1 p.m. to the time of the services Sunday at the church.
Mr. Thielemann died Wednesday in St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Welcome and lived in Bryan since 1946. He served in the European Theater with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He retired in 1983 after 37 years of service as an automobile mechanic for Tom Light Chevrolet. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Thielemann of Bryan; a brother, Leslie Thielemann of Bryan; and two sisters, Levirna Winkelmann of Cleveland, Texas, and Lillie Mae Aschenbeck of Columbus.
Memorials may be made to the Our Saviors Lutheran Church Building Fund.
Jason Adam Tilotta

ROCKDALE — Services for Jason Adam Tilotta, 18, of Rockdale are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Rockdale.
Adelfa Davis of New Life in Christ Church will officiate. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Jason died Thursday in the Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
He was born in Cameron and lived most of his life in Rockdale. He lived four years in Greensboro, N.C. He was a student at New Life in Christ in Rockdale and was a member of New Life in Christ Church.
Survivors include a brother, Dustin H. Zanders of Belton; his grandparents, Howard E. and Joyce Maxine Ryan of Rockdale; his stepfather, Eleuterio Yanez of Wilkesboro, N.C.; his father, Joe Tilotta of Temple; an aunt; two uncles; and two cousins.
Christine Chambless Wagner

MADISONVILLE — Memorial services for Christine Chambless Wagner, 82, formerly of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church in Madisonville.
A reception for family and friends will follow at the Baker House, 702 East Main Street.
Arrangements are under the direction of J.M. Day Funeral Home in Madisonville.
Mrs. Wagner died Oct. 30 in Albuquerque, N.M.
She was a Madisonville native and lived in Albuquerque since 1988. She graduated from Madisonville High School and from Southwestern University and Sam Houston State Teachers College with degrees in English. She taught high school English for almost 30 years in Texas, California and New Mexico, retiring in 1978. She served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
She was preceded in death by husband, Sidney Wagner.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Wagner of Denton; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Nancy Wagner of Sacramento, Calif.; three grandsons; a great-grandson and numerous other relatives.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Lena Faye Connell

FRANKLIN — Graveside services for Lena Faye Connell, 75, of Marlin are set for 10 a.m. Monday at the Ebenezer Cemetery near Franklin.

Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday at McCauley Funeral Home in Franklin.
Ms. Connell died Thursday.
She was born in Franklin and lived in Marlin 26 years. She also lived in Kosse. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include Lucille Williams of Marlin.
Hazel Dilbeck

BRENHAM — Private graveside services for Hazel Dilbeck, 88, of Brenham are set for Sunday at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.

Mrs. Dilbeck died Friday in Methodist Hospital in Houston.
She was born in Bloomer, Ark., and was a graduate of Wetumka High School in Wetumka, Okla., and attended Wetumka Junior College.
She was preceded in death by her husband, T.P. Dilbeck.
Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Jan Dilbeck of Houston and Neva and David Simonton of Katy; a brother, Jim Stuckey of Odessa; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
