BROWNFIELD — Funeral services for Ricardo Lee “Ricky” Rodriguez, 35, of Brownfield and formerly of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel.
Burial will be in Brownfield Cemetery.
Mr. Rodriguez died Tuesday.
He was born in Brownfield and attended Brownfield schools. He worked in general construction and as a driver for B&B Construction periodically for five years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Rodriguez of Brownfield; four sons, Ricky Rodriguez Jr., Tony Tijierna Jr., Dusty Rodriguez and Andrew Rodriguez, all of Brownfield; a daughter, Vanity Rodriguez of Brownfield; two brothers, Alvaro Alcorta and Chris Alcorta Jr., both of Brownfield; and two sisters, Brenda Garcia of Bryan and Christina Alcorta of Brownfield.
Patricia Ann Cochran
Feb. 18, 1944 — Jan. 1, 2003
LEON COUNTY — A memorial service for Patricia Ann Cochran, 58, of Leon County is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at Callaway-Jones Chapel in Bryan.
The Rev. Ross Newton of Flynn Baptist Church will officiate.
Ms. Cochran died Jan. 1 at her residence.
Born in Leon County, she was a bookkeeper at Britt Rice Electric and also had worked at America Hospital Supply in Houston and the Leon County Sheriff’s Department.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Holli Cochran of Ingleside; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Charles and Chloe Sandel of Katy and Johnny and Yvonne Sandel of Palmer; her mother, Willie Esther Sandel of Leon County; and several nieces and nephews.

Norma Jean McKinney

PLANTERSVILLE — A private family memorial service will be held for Norma Jean McKinney, 61, of Plantersville at a later date.
The Rev. Mike Wiilliams of Plantersville Baptist Church will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
Mrs. McKinney died Tuesday at her residence.
She was born in Houston and was a housewife.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin McKinney of Plantersville; three sons, Marvin, Eddie and Cecil McKinney, all of Plantersville; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Debra and Carl Spellman of Whitehall, Debbie and Leslie Abke of Whitehall, and Jeanette Halley and Marion and Michael Digges, all of Plantersville; three brothers and a sister-in-law, Cody Whitton of Dayton, John and Sue Whitton of Troup and Eddie Whitton of Beaumont; and nine grandchildren.

Betty P. Dickschat

NAVASOTA — Services for Betty P. Dickschat, 73, of Navasota are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Nobles Funeral Chapel in Navasota.
The Rev. Ron Trimmer of Friedens Church of Washington United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in the Friedens Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Dickschat died Tuesday in College Station.
She was born in Tyler and was a housewife. She was a member of Friedens Church.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, H.A. “Bubba” Stolz.
Survivors include her husband, Walter “Louie” Dickschat of Navasota; a son, Harry Stolz of Washington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Amy Stolz of Navasota and Linda and Morris Eickenhorst of Conroe; a brother, Earl Partain Jr. of Longview; a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Ronnie Parish of Tyler; and three grandchildren.

Steven Bryan Rainwater

Graveside services for Steven Bryan Rainwater, 58, of Bryan are set for 10 a.m. Thursday at Forest Park Lawndale in Houston.
The Rev. Paul Whitlash will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Metcalf Funeral Directors in Conroe.
Mr. Rainwater died Tuesday in Conroe.
He was born in Houston and retired from Texas A&M University after 20 years of service. He worked in the physical plant.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Matt Asmus of Houston; a sister, Ann Lewing of Montgomery; a grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Opal J. Wood
Feb. 24, 1911 — Jan. 14, 2003
Private services will be held at a later date for Opal J. Wood, 91, of Bryan.
Mrs. Wood died Tuesday at Sherwood Health Care.
She was born in Dexter and lived in Bryan for 30 years, moving here from Franklin. She was a homemaker and also owned and operated Opal’s Dress Shop in Franklin. She was a member of Franklin United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Euell Robert Wood.
Survivors include three sons and a daughter-in-law, Carroll and Franes Wood of Bryan, Donald Gene Wood of Tulsa, Okla., and Billy Wayne Wood of Lufkin; a sister, Fern Frasier of Aurora, Colo.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Rosita Francis (Rose) Edinburgh
A requiem mass for Rosita Francis (Rose) Edinburgh, 91, formerly of Texas City will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Huntsville. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday followed by visitation at Huntsville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Edinburgh died January 14, 2003 at Ella Smithers Geriatric Center in Huntsville. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on July 24, 1911. She was a resident of Texas City from 1912 until 1997 and a longtime parishioner of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Marguerite Francis; a brother, Nestor Francis; two sisters, Mrs. John (Carmen) Corbin and Mrs. Barnes (Margaret) Adams; and a grandson, John Christopher Edinburgh. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Donald R. and Patricia Edinburgh of Dallas, Wayne E. and Pamela Edinburgh of New Waverly, Michael D. and Judy Edinburgh of Montgomery, and William K. (Bill) Edinburgh of Houston; a daughter and son-in-law, Carole Ann and Jerry C. Cooper of College Station; eight grandchildren and their spouses, Mark Edinburgh of Dallas, Lewis and Donna Edinburgh of Waco, Paul and Kellie Edinburgh of League City, Cecilia (Edinburgh) and Kenny Stevens of Huntsville, Rachel and Anna Edinburgh of Houston, Robert and Terri Cooper of Houston, and Jeanine (Cooper) and Sean Hudson of Dallas; ten great-grandchildren, Allen, Daniel and Theresa Edinburgh of Waco, Christina, Elizabeth and Paul Joseph Edinburgh Jr. of League City; Eric, Marissa, Ashley and Leanne Stevens of Huntsville; a special niece and her husband, Mary Francis (Corbin) and Jim Vogas of Friendswood; a great-nephew Joseph Vogas; and other nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a former daughter-in-law, Ella Edinburgh of Texas City.

Linda Joyce Hill Washington

DALLAS — Services for Linda Joyce Hill Washington, 45, of Dallas are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Truevine Missionary Baptist Church in Bryan.
The Rev. Morris Williams will officiate. Burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary.
Mrs. Washington died Friday. She attended Metropolitan School and was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Christopher Leon Hill and Carlous Eugene Hill, both of Bryan, and Michael Masway of Dallas; two daughters, August’s Hill and Amy Lee, both of Dallas; a brother, Nolan Hill Jr. of Houston; two sisters, Barbara Hill of Dallas and Lisa Hill of Houston; and five grandchildren.
Pete John Alvarado

HEARNE — Services for Pete John Alvarado, 50, of Hearne are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at New Elam Baptist Church.
The Rev. Ray Commander of Christian Faith Center in Hearne will officiate. Burial will be in the San Jose Cemetery in Hearne. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Heartfield Funeral Home. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Alvarado died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Bremond and lived in Hearne for 25 years. He was a carpenter and was active in the Hearne Little League. He was a member of Christian Faith Center in Hearne.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Timmie Alvarado.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Donny Alvarado of Hearne and Joe and Frances Alvarado of Bryan; a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Reuben Williams of Austin; a brother and sister-in-law, Vincent and Rebecca Alvarado Sr. of Temple; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Lucy Alvarado and Manuela and Chiyo Ogaz, all of Bryan, and Janie and Frank Montelongo and Bernarda and Jose Perales, all of Hearne; and nine grandchildren.
Louise Bigham

Graveside services for Louise Bigham, 92, of College Station are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at Grove Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Dallas.
Elder Don Hay of Hearne Community of Christ Church will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Mrs. Bigham died Wednesday at Colton Inn.
She was born in Ladonia and was formerly of Dallas. She lived in College Station since 1990. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She attended East Texas State Teachers College in Commerce.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Bigham.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Joanne and Todd Chapman of Bryan; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
