David Clarence Schlipf

BRENHAM — Memorial services for David Clarence Schlipf, 67, of Brenham are set for 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham.
The Rev. Lawrence Bade will officiate. Memorial Oaks Chapel is handling arrangements.
Mr. Schlipf died Friday in Brenham.
He was born in Rocky Ridge, Ohio, and was a retired purchasing agent and construction buyer for Alcoa. He earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Tri-State College in Angola, Ind., in 1963. He coached little league baseball and was active in the Jaycees and Lions Club and also was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brenham.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Eileen Redman Schlipf of Brenham; a sister, Janet Smith of Sandusky, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Susan Schlipf of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Cheryl Matous of Bryan; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Ronald Reaves Clark

Services for Ronald Reaves Clark, 54, of College Station are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Central Baptist Church.
The Revs. Chris Osborne and D.O. Foster will officiate. Graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery near Grapeland.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in College Station.
Mr. Clark died Sunday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Hillsboro. He was a graduate of Texas A&M University. He was a senior gas treating specialist for Ineos Oxide in Livingston. Mr. Clark was a member of the Good Sam and Escapees R.V. clubs. He was a member of the 12th Man Foundation and Central Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Survivors include his wife, Susan Clark of College Station; two daughters and a son-in-law, Stacy and Buddy Kellum of Montgomery and Rachel Reane Clark of College Station; a son, Randal Reaves Clark of College Station; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Janie Johnson, Lee and Cecil McFarlin, and Mary W. Pipes; and three grandchildren.
Dorothy C. Rogers
Aug. 27, 1934 — Feb. 24, 2003
CALDWELL — Services for Dorothy C. Rogers, 68, of Caldwell are set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Friendship Baptist Church in Caldwell.
The Rev. Reggie Nelson will officiate. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in Iola at 4 p.m.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell.
Mrs. Rogers died Monday in Caldwell.
She was born in Houston and was a longtime resident of Caldwell. She was a retired librarian at Texas A&M’s Sterling C. Evans Library. Mrs. Rogers was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Clifford Rogers of Caldwell; three daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie and Dale Mears of Chriesman, Dorrie and James Hall of Humble and Carrie Rogers of Houston; a brother, Philip Curry of San Diego; a sister and brother-in-law, Gwendolyn and Donald Latham of Mustang, Okla.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Willie Edna Raley-Singletary
May 26, 1910 — Feb. 23, 2003
MADISONVILLE — Services for Willie Edna Raley-Singletary, 92, of Madisonville are set for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church.
The Rev. Vaughn Tatum will officiate. Burial will be in the Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Singletary died Sunday at the Madisonville Care Center.
She was born in Gause and was a homemaker and member of the First Baptist Church..
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jesse Clarke Raley and Johnnie Earl Singletary.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Dillon of Salado; a son, Walton S. Raley of Bryan; one stepdaughter; six grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Merle Liles

TEMPLE — A memorial service will take place at a later date for Merle Liles, 87, of Temple.
Local arrangements are under the direction of Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan.
Mrs. Liles died Tuesday.
She was born in Bay City and was a longtime resident of Temple. She was a homemaker and member of Christ Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Survivors include a son, Charles Speed of Temple; a daughter, Sue Berry of Austin; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Christ Episcopal Church in Temple.
Patricia Williams ‘Pat’ Saxon

FRANKLIN — Services for Patricia Williams “Pat” Saxon, 61, of Franklin and formerly of Bryan are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
The Rev. Lee Caldwell of Easterly Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Reliance Cemetery in the Reliance community.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Saxon died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan.
She was born in Bryan, was a homemaker and formerly worked for First National Bank in Bryan. She was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, F.L. “Sonny” Saxon of Franklin; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Anne Saxon of Westerville, Ohio, and Dwayne and Vickie Saxon of Franklin; a brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Carolyn Williams of Houston; three grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Franklin Leo Steck

CALDWELL — Services for Franklin Leon Steck, 87, of Caldwell are set for 11 a.m. Friday at Cooks Point United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Pam Beeler will officiate. Burial will be in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell, with the family present from 6 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Steck died Monday at Burleson St. Joseph Manor.
Mr. Steck was a lifelong resident of Caldwell. He was a retired farmer and rancher. He was a member of the Cooks Point United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Steck.
Survivors include a son, Allen Wade Steck of Bryan; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly Kay and Dr. Carl Barfield of Gainesville, Fla.; a brother, Rudy Steck of Cooks Point; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Steck of Cooks Point; and two grandsons.
Kenneth Elbern Wilson

MIDWAY — Memorial services for Kenneth Elbern Wilson, 89, of Midway are set for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Living Truth Church in Madisonville.

Mr. Wilson died Monday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Lake Jackson. He owned Sunset Outdoor Advertising and Wilson Management Service.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Wilson of Midway; a son and daughter-in-law; Kenneth and Patty Wilson of Spring; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Shirley and Jeff Vauter of Spring, Linda Wilson of Oklahoma and Tamara and James Tipton of Madisonville; a sister, Genevieve Wilson; seven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Lola Jean Knittel Eberhardt

BURTON — Memorial services for Lola Jean Knittel Eberhardt, 81, of Burton are set for 7 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Rehburg.
Mrs. Eberhardt died Monday in Brenham.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Eberhardt.
Survivors include a daughter; three sons; a daughter-in-law; four grandchildren; and three sisters.
