MADISONVILLE — A memorial service for Christine Woodring Bristow, 95, of Madisonville is set for 4 p.m., Friday at First Baptist Church in Corsicana.
The Rev. B.F. Risinger Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Resthaven Memorial Park at 1 p.m.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.
Mrs. Bristow died Wednesday.
She was born in Ellis County and moved to Corsicana. She was a member of First Baptist Church and was active with several professional and civic organizations. She was a teacher and earned her bachelor’s degree from North Texas University and master’s degree from Baylor University.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bristow.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Mary Lou Bristow of Madisonville; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Robert Prigmore of Bullard; five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Beatrice Bladen

CENTERVILLE — Services for Beatrice Bladen, 88, of Centerville are set for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Centerville.
The Rev. Billy Joe Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in the Ward Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Walters Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bladen died Saturday in Centerville.
She was born in Centerville and was a lifelong resident of Leon County, residing in the Ridge community. She attended schools at Flatwoods and Spring Branch. Mrs. Bladen was a member of Pine Top Baptist Church and was active in missions.
Survivors include her husband, Alson Bladen Sr. of Centerville; three sons, Alson Bladen Jr. of Mexia, Billy Bladen of Dallas and James Bladen of Balch Springs; three daughters and a son-in-law, Clara Brown of Dallas, Ella and Darwin Richardson of Lynwood, Calif., and Bobbie Bowens of Dallas; three sisters, Alvania Sandles, Essie Henderson and Videlure Bailey, all of Dallas; 17 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Ara Chambers

Services for Ara Chambers, 86, of Bryan are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at G. W. Tabernacle Building in Bryan.
The Rev. U.L. Green of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Wheelock Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan. Mrs. Chambers died Sunday in College Station.
She was born in Robertson County and was a lifelong resident of Bryan. She was a member of the United Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Chambers Sr.
Survivors include her two sons, Billie J. Chambers of Bryan and R.C. Chambers Jr. of Houston; a daughter, Mary Ann Pratt of College Station; a brother, Nepolian Payne of Houston; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Emma Terrell Nixon

Services for Emma Terrell Nixon, 93, of College Station are set for 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Salem Baptist Church in Wellborn.
The Rev. Cedric Goodman will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Jones-Washington Mortuary in Bryan.
Mrs. Terrell died Wednesday.
She was born in the Meyers community. She was a member of the Salem Missionary Society, sang in the church choir, served on the usher board and was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Nixon.
Survivors include four brothers, Willie Terrell of College Station, L.D. Terrell of Austin, Wesley Terrell of San Antonio and R.A. Terrell of Austin.

Zonnie Beatrice Neal

Services for Zonnie Beatrice Neal, 93, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Allen Chapel AME Church.
The Rev. Fred P. Blair Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Tiver Cemetery.
Visitation will be from noon to 7 p.m. at Peoples Mortuary in Bryan.
Mrs. Neal died Tuesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
She was born in Robertson County and was a lifetime resident of Bryan. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Neal. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Rubin Q. and Mary Neal of Bryan; a sister-in-law, Norine Foley of Levelland; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Elias Catarino Alvarez

Services for Elias Catarino Alvarez, 46, of Bryan are set for 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Hillier Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Hillier Funeral Home in Bryan. A prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Alvarez died Wednesday at his home.
He was a cook. Mr. Alvarez had attended Segunda Iglesia Bautista Church.
Survivors include his brother and sister-in-law, Ephraim and Phyllis Alvarez of College Station; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Eunice Ann and Julian Jimenez of Marietta, Ga., and Elaine and Johnny Ruiz and Dea and Roland Diaz, all of Houston; and his parents, Valentin M. and Rebecca P. Alvarez of Bryan.

Survivors include a son, Sidney E. Manley Sr. of Bryan; two daughters, Alice Denise Manley and Zena C. Tarver, both of Bryan; two brothers, the Rev. E. Gibbs of Bryan and Joe Nathan West of Lubbock; four sisters, Charles Etta Harris of Bryan, Doris Stewart of Hearne, Carolyn Allen of Caldwell and Adella Faye Vaden of Philadelphia, Pa.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

WELLBORN — Services for Lula “Mutt” Grays, 74, of Wellborn are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at Salem Missionary Baptist Church.

She was a lifelong resident of Wellborn. Mrs. Grays was the president of Women’s Mission and a member of Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a former announcement clerk.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Clarence “Wayne” and Rodessa Grays of the Centerline community; a daughter, Louise Reed of Houston; a brother and sister-in-law, Lorenzo and Brenda Grays of Wellborn; a sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Harold Dickey of Houston; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Armando ‘Fan’ Sauceda

Services for Armando “Fan” Sauceda, 52, of Bryan are set for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Monsignor John McCaffrey will officiate. Burial will be in the Mount Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Sauceda died Wednesday at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
He was born in Lubbock and lived in Bryan for 44 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sauceda of Bryan; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Edward and Leticia Sauceda of Houston, Steven and Susana Sauceda and Ezekiel Sauceda, all of Bryan; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Tino and Amelia Sauceda of Bryan and Gilbert and Marilyn Sauceda and Frank and Lupe Moreno, all of Houston; three sisters, Yolanda Ramirez and Diane Asher, both of Houston, and Anna Marie Garcia of College Station; and six grandchildren.
Fred Ruemke

BRENHAM — Services for Fred Ruemke, 78, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church in Brenham.
Dr. Wesley Wellborn will officiate. Burial will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mr. Ruemke died Thursday in Houston.
Born in Washington County, he was a retired salesman at Western Auto in Brenham and later worked at Mickan Hardware in Brenham.
He served in the Army in 1949-50. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Brenham and the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Faye Bentke Ruemke.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Larry Schneider of Houston; four brothers-in-law and six sisters-in-law, Glenn and Dorothy Bentke of Brenham, Herman and Donna Bentke of Brenham, Raymond and Verna Mae Bentke of Houston, Christine Bentke of Brenham, Rosa Ida Bentke of Houston, Mary Jo and Ervin Schulz of Brenham and Alma Place of Marquez; and one granddaughter.
